@@nadiakodes Still can be, "the colony" is the name of the place where bands can still play.
The town is not the artist colony it used to be with the incredibly diverse patchwork wonderful weirdos it used to be.. Through the 80's & 90's the locals and founding artists used to get upset about all the tourists and hodgepodge of people coming in. Soon became a glorious melting pot. It started to fall a part around 2000. Then since 2010 a lot of the elders 'left' and the 'weirdest' were driven off, in a conservative attempt to 'clean up' for the tourist image. Sad really, but it ending up helping the town as a whole survive COVID when many others became ghost towns.
.....but _you_ can still fill a *large* room with great people and have fun!!
