As i grow old, im starting to love having a quality set of tools. I need them for a hobby diyer.
Same here, the older we get the wiser we become. This tool set is best value for the money in my opinion

I have the Bahco 1/4" drive and the 1/2" drive socket sets in this style of case. I've had the 1/2" set for a few years, the 1/4" set for approx 15 years. They've been in my boot with all my other tools and have held up very well. The clasps are excellent and still lock like the day i bought them.
I also have the screwdriver bit set and the another smaller 1/4" drive set which I carry both in my small EDC tool bag. I have other Bahco tools, they are very well made and reasonably priced.
Indeed, Bahco still holds up quality. I have also lots of tools from Bahco and serving me like a charm. You are spot on that the price is extremly reasonable

Bahco Sweden was excellent.👌👌 The Bahco from France is good. Bahco from Asia and Southern Europe is just OK.
Bahco made in Spain is still very good quality since Bahco's factory machineries and system were move from Sweden to Spain. Even some of the tools from Snap-on are still made in Spain in Bahco's factory like pwz pliers. Bahco made in Argentina and Brazil are as good as made in Sweden. Made in Asia are still good but not as good as others. I have made in Asia stuff from Bahco and I have seen them using in professional workshops and I believe they hold up really good. It also depends if Bahco is making it in their own factory or outsourcing it. It also depends how the Quality Control is operating. Yes, over all Bahco got compromised in quality since moving to Asia.
@@carrepairandtoolsvideos I have Bahco hand tools made in Sweden, France, Spain, and Argentina. I do not have Brazil, Spain or Taiwan. We have tons of excellent brands in the USA made in Taiwan (Texton, HF Icon, Matco (truck brand), etc) and easy to warranty far better than Bahco.
@@branned now a days, it seems Bahco making all their new production in Taiwan/China. I have some pliers made in Spain but when I see new pliers in the shop they are made in Taiwan or China. I think Bahco is now moving all their production to China/Taiwan. Not only Bahco but Facom, Beta etc even some of the tools from Hazet and Stahlwille also outsourcing from Asia. If I was USA i would try Tekton/Icon, these seem to have good price and life time warranty. USA tool culture is different than here in Europe. Warranties are not good here as in USA. Here Shops/Dealers provide every tool to the Mechanics/Techs while in USA mechanic have to buy their own tool box and tools.

this is bahco cheap model set. not the snap on one
Bahco own by Snap-on. Yes, this particular set is made in Taiwan/China. But its got good quality for the price
I have the S138 - the box locking clips are the worst - when i set the box down on the ground 6 out of 10 times the locks open by themselves - and box opens and all parts fall out . Worst box ever
I have opposite experience but may be now a days, the quality is compromised
I very recently got a quarter inch ratchet with some sockets from Bacho.. I also just received a Koken 1/4 in ratchet. And I don't even consider using the bacho anymore. For the simple reason there is literally no back drag on the Koken. And a ridiculously crazy back drag on the bacho.. Koken wins hands down. I got both of these ratchets in October 2023.
This bahco set is basic beginner set. I like how the assorment are beneficial for the job. These ratchets are good but they are regular ratchets. Ko-ken ratchets are amazing due their backdrag. But the price difference is huge too. Bahco do offer same ratchet as Snap-on 80 teeth with the fraction of price

This set is bluepoint quality, made in taiwan tho, a lot better than china quality
Indeed. Bahco and Blue Point are made in same factory in Taiwan but also some of the tools are made in China.

Hi, how you understand where the set is made from? I brought mine 2 or 3 years ago from UK-Prime tools. I was looking all over the plastic case, did not see anywhere where this thing is made from..... Any idea?
If I remember correctly, it was on made in Taiwan written on the package. But I have seen some new lots/products from Bahco are Chinea made too. Blue Point is also made in the same factory as Bahco.

It's Swedish brand now owned by Snap-on. Its not made in Sweden. Its made in Taiwan/China. But the quality is good.

Yeah, your doubts are right. its not made in Sweden. Its made in Taiwan. But it is still in good quality though
