I was enchanted by this video explaining Autumn Leaves, by Joe Pass. Your explanations are clear and didactic. The arrangement is beautiful and interesting. Among the many interesting things is the use of the swing feel in contrast to the classical guitar approach. An added bonus for me is that you are playing a classical guitar and using your fingers. In short, this isn't just a lesson, it's THE lesson. Thanks, Gregg!
I give you an A+. I wish you had more subs (subscribers, not substitutions). 🙂 You are quite right that one of the marvels of Pass is how he changes sections of songs from swing, to ballad, to rubato, etc - and he does this literally ad libido, and can change it from one performace to the next.. I have even heard him turn a 4/4 piece into 8 measure os waltz, or replace a section with material unrelated to the origianl. One tiny oversight. That 4 measure Coda, is a quote of Tarrega's Adelita. And that is another thing Pass does, he sneaks in little snippets of classical pieces.
@@Indigo-lucky I think you'll also recognize this intro as a classical lick - but it won't be easty to Name That Tune. ruclips.net/video/3htyYmPe9Xc/видео.html
Bravo! [edit:] I said "Bravo" to the playing. But what I'm enjoying is a) the playing b) the transcriptions and c) the analysis -- the things you point out (e.g. reharm, tritone subs etc.) Thanks. Glad I found your channel.
Thanks Udo! I'm not currently selling this transcription. I do have some transcriptions available for free though for my Chick Corea and Pat Martino videos on the channel. You can find the links there.

Brilliant! Your presentation of this really makes sense to me. Thanks for taking the time to provide this. Greatly appreciated. 👍 PS: you asked for suggestions - how about Kenny Burrell All Blues ruclips.net/video/fxaMwM2Qkek/видео.html I know it's painfully slow and can seem sophomoric but it's "simply" genius to me.
