It's true though. Cats have a natural instinct to go paralized but feel safe, because mother-cats often gently bit onto kittens' necks to carry them to safer places. They learn that pressure on their neck is a sign that their guardian is currently watching out for their wellbeing.

Another helpful tip is to put a rubber mat or rug inside the water so the cat has something to grip on. Usually the surface of sinks or tubs are really slippery which makes the cats nervous. Also making sure the temperature of the water is nice and warm also helps!

My friends cat had kittens they have trouble finding someone to take one of them he cute tho just noone has time for a kitten

Another helpful tip is to put a rubber mat or rug inside the water so the cat has something to grip on. Usually the surface of sinks or tubs are really slippery which makes the cats nervous. Also making sure the temperature of the water is nice and warm also helps!

Or that if my cat is covered in chemicals and dangerous things you just want me to let it lick itself clean? Yes you shouldn’t wash your cat all the time but there are occasions where you *do* need to. And when we do need to bathe our cats, we want to have our cats used to water so that they don’t escape.
