Good set up. I'm in St. Cloud and looking at setting up a better simulator this winter. I have the MEVO + with E6 hitting into a net with an Ipad. I am going to upgrade the whole thing to a setup like yours. Loving the GS pro software. The swing analysis software looks pretty good. I set a goal to break 80 also this year. Did it 3 times. I had my current setup over last winter and I swear being able to play and practice sim golf made a huge difference. Well worth the money.
Great setup. Made me feel right at home with those par 3 shots at the end. I, like you, had the goal of breaking 80 this year and despite a bunch of lessons and practicing a ton, the best score I could muster was an 82. Hopefully next year! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for posting this Jeremy. It is very helpful. You mentioned you would have gone with the premium screen if you did it again. Why is that and would you go with Carl's again? Thank you!
I did get the premium screen, I'm just not convinced I'd do carls again. Mine and pretty much every other carls screen I've seen is pretty floppy and wrinkled. Plus, the bottom portion keeps lifting off the ground despite my best efforts to correct it.
Thank you! Yeah, I'm still trying to decide if a didn't hitting strip would be better than this carls one. Ez Tee is on my short list. Have you tried others?
This just showed up on my feed. I love what you have put together. At the beginning of the video, you mentioned that you first had the Bushnell Launch Pro but quickly sold that and got the Uneekor Eye Mini. I am looking at switching to an optical based unit and am going in between the Blp and the Eye Mini Lite. Can you tell me why you made the choice you made. Was there something wrong with the BLP that you sold it so quickly?
@brdgolf1f814 i never even used the blp. The eye mini went on sale the week after I bought the blp so I pulled the trigger on that one as it was my preference. I wouldn't say the eye mini is better, but I really wanted the ball contact video and I really like the view software.
@ Thanks for the response. :) I agree, the video of impact with the club is great. Plus the $500 a year you have to pay Foresight to use FSPlay, which is what you need for using GSPro, is a little high. I think the fee for Uneekor is $199 per year for using simulator software. Again, thanks for the help and good luck with your golf and racing.
So I have the old style carls place screen and am looking to upgrade to the c series. The biggest reason is the bottom section going all the way to the floor. How does the c series deal with low burner shots? I have higher handicaps over and my lower section is always needing re velcroed down and the foam padding behind it looks like a shotgun hit it lol.
I would personally look elsewhere. I haven't been overly impressed with the c series setup. In fact, quite the opposite. Also, there are many people who agree with me in the Facebook groups.
@@jtswenson05 what do you think I should look at? The other option I was considering was a bullseye enclosure but am definitely open to options. I’ve been pretty happy with my carls place but I need to change sizes for my new room and need a 12x9 now. I had the 13x7 1/2
@joesti7607 that's funny, my whole sim is for sale and mine is a 12x9 but I just got done telling you I wouldn't recommend it, haha. I'm not sure what other options might be better, unfortunately. Sorry I'm not more help.
You're in the same boat as many before you. I'm working on becoming a dealer for each. Overall I'm quite happy with the eye mini although it does have a total misread about once a round. Typically with the driver. It sounds like the BLP has its own set of issues. For the money, I think they're both great options.
Nice set up mate couple questions is the camera where you can go slow Mo part of the GSpro Software or is that from your simulator? Also, I was wondering, can you putt with the mat you have in front of your screen?
The camera system works through the view software that comes with any Uneekor launch monitor. The software is great and is one of the reasons I bought the uneekor. Putting with the uneekor through gspro is about as good as it gets on a simulator as well, though my mat by the screen is just a catch mat and is pretty plush to get balls to stop.
Haha. I can leave her car in whole hitting but I usually pull it out. She made me promise that her car is not sitting outside overnight before we got the sim.
Nice design! Can you please post a link to the monitor and keyboard stand where you mounted the 55 inch TV? All of the stands I see on Amazon and other sites have a max monitor size of 32 inches.
Haha, this one was on Amazon and is definitely not designed for a 55. I customized the mount for it and would not recommend it if you're planning to move it around at all. Not the sturdiest thing in the world.
@@jtswenson05 I love your set up, by the way. I'm looking at doing a golf sim in my garage too although unfortunately it will have to be a setup and tear down each time I use it because of my cars.
Can u share the camera link and light you use? I just upgraded from a skytrak to the Eye mini lite, but their cameras are CRAZY expensive. Have been looking for a less expensive workaround but yours look great!
www.spinelelectronics.com/product/sc30mpa-bundle-test/ It's basically those cameras, though I can't say I would necessarily recommend them if you're really trying to see club impact etc. The light is just a "high bay" light from Menards. It is incredibly bright and not exactly necessary, but if you increase the frame rate a bunch then it gets darker so the light helps if you're really just trying to work on your swing. Good luck
I just got the stuff to put one at my house and my dad's house. After a lot of research, I went with the R10, A few Pro golf mats, and an impact screen. I got 1 with a laser projector and one with a $300 projector. For about $1,300 you could have a great setup assuming you have some things to make a frame, gutter foam, etc. you will still need a decent computer or projector you can connect your iPad or phone to.
How far is the ball from the screen. I’m having insane amount of bounce back and also cant get the bottom of screen to be flush to the ground while keeping screen flat. Its either one or the other lol same set up here
You need a little bit of lateral tension. Just a little to remove the wrinkles. That will cause the screen to fall flat. If you have bonce back you have too much downward tension.
Nice video. I am working on my setup as and I wanted to find out how you’re running the sim on the impact screen while showing the club data on the Samsung at the same time? Also, I’ve got a Carls C screen too and it comes down to playing with the zip ties to get it how you like it.
My computer has several hdmi outputs. I just set it up for 2 displays and adjusted resolution etc accordingly. My screen has gotten worse with use and is lifting more in the center now. I guess I'll play around with the zip ties. Thank you
Nice video. I am doing a similar set up and trying to decide which garage stall and which direction to use. Do you think you could move back from your screen and still avoid the garage door tracks when swinging driver? Also, where is your projector in relation to the hitting area?
I actually cut back one of the door tracks slightly to give more space. The hitting area and the projector are about 7.5 to 8ft jack from the screen. The screen is about 9 inches from the wall. I would ideally have more space than this but I'm also dealing with not covering up a floor drain. I don't think I could have used my space any better other than to go the full 10ft height and just add a foot of width and then hit slightly off center to the right. Regardless, I'm very happy with the setup. Let me know if you have more questions.
Hi how to have several different views (2 or 3)?? GSPRO on the back screen (ball strike) the image of the protea or something on the screen in front of you Thank you for your answer
Fred, you'll just need a computer and graphics card capable of displaying multiple screens. Then run a source to each of them and set it up in your software.
That was the one. I thought it was broken because it was blurry imo. I messed with every setting and couldn't get it to look decent. The clarity is vastly better with this unit, though the color is still lacking. Overall I'm happy with this one for the money. Also super short throw was great for my setup.
I have a similar setup, and going to get the same projector (8 feet away, hitting area 10.5’ away). I move my mats in and out to get the car inside. But how do you keep the mat from moving around? I tried Velcro, but can’t get the Velcro to stick on the floor. Also, do you have any issues with shanks going through the Velcro in the corner? My enclosure (not from Carl’s) has a ton of issues. The corner panel doesn’t fit well.
Hello, do you know if the Uneekor always has the instant ball response after you hit it ? I see other launch monitors that have a delay. Do you know if the gaming pc has anything to do with it or just the launch monitor itself? Thank you
@KyleW0806 I'm not sure, but I do like the lack of delay. From other videos it sounds like it's the launch monitor itself that determines how quickly you see the hit.
I bought it through Launch House Simulators. Sorry I don't have a link. You can contact them for that and other simulator items. I got my screen, mat, and launch monitor from them as well
That is the View software that comes with any Uneekor launch monitor. It works great, although their club data has been absolutely horrendous after the most recent software update. For the price, I'd still recommend the Eye Mini, but it's not without issues.
