i got the wooting not to long ago and it sounds good idk why everyone says it sounds bad, but the performance i noticed instantly, it even took me a bit to adjust to the instant response with it being so accurate
I got the Wooting about 2 months ago as well, and I think you said it well in that is a wonderful quality of life item. It didn’t make me that much better at games, but it does feel different, in a very good way. It feels responsive and like my keyboard is in sync with my fingers in a way that previous keyboards didn’t. I often felt like I had to work around actuation points with other boards, whereas this one works with me, to do exactly what I need for each situation. Again, marginal differences in actual gameplay but if you asked me if I ever wanted to go back to gaming on a normal keyboard my answer would be an emphatic no.
I think you're spot on with it just feeling like another limb where you don't have to think about it. So using the same keyboard long enough you would adapt enough to make it feel like a part of your body as in your body has adapted to counteract the delay of the actuation point. And this keyboard makes it feel intuitive starting to press = moving, stopping to press = stopping.
my solution for arrow keys on 60% boards is to set 'caps lock' as fn1 (set actual caps to layer 1 tab), then set arrow keys on WASD on layer 1, also nice for turning numrow into actual function row
I know some people set the rapid trigger lift off to the lowest possible setting at 0.1mm but it seems like that would cause a lot of random stutters in your movement if you just slightly lift your finger. Have you experimented at all with having it at a lower value than 0.5mm?
Late response! But I'm an ex apex player, my WASD, C and Space are all 0.1mm (helped insanely with movement and super glides) I am have no issue with stuttering at all. Hope this helps.
I was expecting you to talk more about the performance of switching back and forth between your red switches and your wooting, RN i'm having a lot of issue with first shot accuracy because my right hand is way faster and i'm shooting and not waiting the second like you're talking about. Would you consider going back to your red switches or is the tech from the wooting too good to go back ?
Just found your channel as my Wooting keyboard arrived today! Thank you for sharing your code, I plan to try it out today. Your video was great and very detailed.
I just upgraded my mouse and was looking forward to the keyboard. But, you're right, a higher refresh rate monitor would be so much of a better upgrade for me rn 😂
Is there a reason for not having continuous rapid trigger on WASD? And do you think having WASD at a 1.0mm actuation point but every other key at a normal 2.0mm (Chery MX Reds) would be fine? Or would having all the keys at a 1.0mm be better?
Yes, I noticed immediately that the Wooting was slightly more responsive and snappier. But not a huge difference, the HyperX keyboard is pretty solid so you don’t have to upgrade if you’re on the fence.
I don’t like the 60%. I like having the option to alt f4, as well as print screen, and a few other shortcuts. Wooting is going to release an 80% in a couple months so I might get that?
How does it effect air strafe timings? You said that it’s a nice quality of life but Have you tried to switch to another prebuilt 60% with cherry reds after using this? The reason I ask is because I feel like that’s a good test to see if it’s actually worth the upgrade.
@@teydaddyYB I'll heavily consider getting it, but I think it's already expensive enough to get the keyboard with the stock green lekker switches. I wish they had the option to change the switch if people are willing to pay extra.
imo, the keyboard is made for fortnite (mainly), but as jaeky said youll do just as good with a different gaming or custom keyboard in games like val, fn etc
@@Krypyyy.mp4 get your point but many pros across all games are switching to it. yayster a val pro was for sure one of the first pros to start using it. but it wasn't ever made or marketed for fornite or any game in specific other than racing games was all i was saying
The movement keys at .2 with rapid trigger is a massive difference. I love this keyboard will never own anything else. This is the NEW standard

Can you elaborate? Do you hold down “caps lock” while simultaneously pressing WASD for arrow keys?
how to do that?

personally i went from a ducky with browns to the wooting and it was a bigger improvement from viper mini to viper v2 pro

The most players prefer to set everything at 1mm and WASD at 0.1mm.
@@simptrix007 what about the rapid trigger sensitivity?
Tachyon mode felt no different, so I turned it off to use the cool rgb options

Bruh, the gameplay montage was so good that I forgot to listen to what you were saying lol. Had to watch the video the second time.
i got mine yesterday going to try ur settings i was using 0.1 actuation and 0.15 on rapid trigger but it was hard and i was making alot of mistakes

my wootings gonna be here 22-24 may :)
I don't even play Valorant but Fortnite. Thank you for this tough am gonna try those settings am sure it will help with my movements. Excellent vid
turn on or off rapid trigger continuous?
Do you use your Wooting for osu as well? If so, what do you use?
Same settings on all games.

The reason I ask is because I feel like that’s a good test to see if it’s actually worth the upgrade.
i've had reds and browns. it's not even close man. get the wooting. spend the $175+ and be done with buying keyboards for 10 years.
Wish they had tkl or full size with the same switches i want to buy it rn but I’m hesitant that they will announce they are coming out with a tkl lol
they have a full size keyboard with the same lekker switches
They haven't confirmed about making a TKL, but they definitely hinted the fact that there will be a tkl version.
Went from a 100% hyperx keyboard to the wooting 60he. I don’t think the 60% is gonna be a problem
There is a tkl version now
did you turn on the continuous rapid trigger in advanced settings?
no
@@Jaeky thanks!
I'm currently using a Razer Huntsman TKL Tournament Edition, does anyone think it's worth getting the Wooting? :|
Worth it! If you also change the switches to the yellow that wooting just released.
