Armando Ferreira what sounds better: professional mic on a cheap recorder, or a cheap mic on a professional recorder?
I’ve seen test with iPhone audio with pro camera vs pro audio with iPhone camera but would welcome the mic vs recorder test.

I'm going to record my first video today and I'm recording from my LG G6. It has an HD recorder app and it has Gain, LCF and LMT under pro mode. I don't know what they are, what should I set them too?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this but in a put away format? I’m looking to create a foldable version that is aesthetically pleasing for my RUclips backdrop. I have a very loud furnace and hardwood floors. So I’m looking to have a closed sound booth that I can sit and record in. Any ideas would be amazing. I have seen some with pvc pipe.

I know nothing about sound and this kind of stuff but I first got caught by this video because of house nice it sounded, but I didn't realize until you mentioned it early on the vid! I ended up watching it all and started to pay attention to every detail I could, then you talked about the cool background and bam! you made me realize that was very appealing too. Now I want to know where you learnt to do all those gestures while you talk! They look sweet too. Great video man, thanks for sharing!
he didn't need all that stuff only this tascam dr-05 and later load it into your video editor
remove the audio from the cam and replace it with the audio from the tascam....easy and your ready to upload it done and fast

A cool way to eliminate sound as well is a carpet wall. Lol.
In the adr room, the sound booth is in a room and the booth is a box frame for someone to walk in and do dialogue. It is made of two layered wooden wall and carpet. It is so sound proof, I cannot hear anything when inside. Another technique I do for emergency is use a towel or thick blanket. May seem different but it works.

I am an independent filmmaker, would you say the c200 is a good camera to make short films/ feature films ? If you were shooting a film , would you only shoot in raw ? I have no idea how the robust 8 bit is, but I imagine it will fall apart in postproduction

I’ve got a very dumb question. It’s so minor that only I would ask something like this, BUT, what do you use to prop up the foam sound boards? Are they leaning against themselves or the tripod or do you have a hack?
AJ Sanchez sometimes I'll use a piece of furniture, they're very light weight so anything really holds them up. If I need it to be higher I'll use a C/Stand with a grip arm and clap it on.

Armando Ferreira appreciate the response, I have the Sony A7iii and have such a hard time getting good looking colors. That was the biggest trade-off from the switch to Sony.
Jack Richmond really? I don't use any PP with Sony I think the colors look good out of the box, I mean it's not Canon but it's much better than before
What's wierd is I think sony standard colors are crappy but the picture profiles in AWB are useful (autumn leaves) in an instagrammy type of way. at least for an a7s2 cant vouch for the a7iii
Best audio tips is to cover the mic with your hand so it will block the ambient noise and only picking up the intended voice.

That popping you're hearing is the small piece of foam board I had when I was showcasing it. Since I set it down in front of me you can hear the little crackles lol.
