If you are going to use the Maori it might be a bit more consistent to say Aotearoa/New Zealand, instead of just New Zealand. Great to see them in the game. Do volcanic eruptions effect climate change? Can storms trigger floods, or is that contained within the storm's effects already?

9:50 - foundation of the first Maori city on the 11th (!) turn.
28:57, 51:15 - i've noticed a hurricane avobe the ocean. Its strength weakens when it moves into landmass. There are three types of hurricanes (well, in their interpretation): dry storms above desert; tornadoes above floodplains and plains; blizzard above tundra and snow tiles.
    34:35 - smoking volcano.
    37:00- there is a new military city-states - Ngazargamu (Nigeria ...? what?).
39:53 - i've noticed new tabs for the choosing convenience in the building panel.
47:54 - the sea level rise threat markers are seen (although it looks like tsunami markers).
59:30 - damned immortal hurricane (is it the same or not?).
    P.S. Sorry for my english.

I really like the canal city graphic, and I know this is a nitpick, but it seems to decrease the number of little houses in the city that spawn when it grows. Are there any plans to adjust this?

You guys really nailed it on the head with this one. I was a little disappointed back in Civ 5 with the Polynesians and it's so nice to see just how good you guys can get it. Absolutely and totally authentic representation of Maori culture, even down to the way they used Pa and haka during war. If I pick up Civ 6, this will be the reason why. Kia kaha Sid Meier's team.

  • @AllisonIsLivid

I'm in heaven! This is going to be my favorite civ, and especially because they're going to radically change how I go after my favorite victory type! A cultural victory without great writers? That's a challenge I'll accept!
I think more than anything else, I'm excited to see more of the new art for units, buildings, and civs. I really do appreciate those touches, and it's wonderful that I won't have to use mods to achieve the visual variety and dynamic cityscapes. Speaking of mods though, did Ed mean to say ocean starting CIVS? Like, plural? He brought up modding posssibilities, and I'm all for seeing the Taino mod that I'm a big fan of retooled to incorporate something like that, but I'm also really excited about the slim possibility that Ed slipped and revealed that there were other civs with ocean starts. I loved that in Beyond Earth, and I'd love to see more of it here. Iceland maybe?

Which greatly improves my civ games. No offense if you liked playing on a switch. But i would like to have the full experience not a casual one.

His govenor skill could have also been changed to match this.

There was a leak a while ago that said Maori, Canada, and Hungary would be in this before they were announced. I think it's an accurate leak.
If so, it said Mansa Musa and Mali would be in it. This would be West Africa. It also said the Inca would be in it, which would be South America.

I really like the game and that you continue to develop the base game (I own the Deluxe Edition since I got my new PC in July 2017 and have played it for more than 800 hours, very enjoyable)!
There is one small thing I noticed in this stream: with more and more civs with red and something default jerseys, it becomes harder to visually keep friends and enemies apart. To me (unfortunately my eyesight isn't 100%) in this game England, Maori, Indonesia and Barbarians looked completely identical zoomed out. I hope there will be a method to assign different colors to AI-civs even with a random selection (I love the surprise who is in the game with me)?
Keep up the great work! :)
