god dammit.
Sean Bean died before the video even started!
Shit... I caught a glimpse of this, & thought it said Sean Penn died. My brief happiness was destroyed when I realized that's not what it said.
Dear Devs, death animation of soldiers is terrible, it looks like they are blowing up, just like they would be prepared in microwave. Please change it somehow if you can.
+P0lymeth
yeah but still need to be out spoken clearly to make sure they know that it's bad and they need to change it.
we don't knows if they will still explode or won't when it is being release live at this point.
Even if it's final, some modder will change it
yeah, its not ideal...its too specific to be a placeholder, so there is chance that it could be a final animation. lets hope not...
hopefully they just use a random animation just for the sake of presentation.
perhaps it is using the same animation model for the tanks, etc because they haven't done the animation for ancient weapon yet.
like some icons that aren't finish yet
I'm actually fine with the animation. It's the vfx that bothers me.
I knew it... Sean Bean ALREADY dead :(
I love how they're criticizing the city placement choices in their own promo video.
Yall whine too much. Before Civ V, graphics were hardly even a minor concern. Now that they reached a fairly realistic level and then decided that changing it up a little would make it more interesting, suddenly everyone decides that its awful and completely overlook the fact that this game will have far more depth and complexity than any other game in the series. I for one like the art style. Sure, the leaders look a little goofy, but that's such a tiny part of the game I really couldn't care less. The lighting is amazing since they needed a dynamic system to work with their day-night cycle, and I think the art really helps cities and wonders and units and such pop out from the environment. Besides, as one who played civ rev on Nintendo ds of all things, I can assure you that its possible to have a ton of fun playing a strategy game without the graphics being to your exact specifications
If you automatically discount peoples opinions as "whine" then you reveal yourself as a disrespectful person, no one will care what you have to say, please learn this life lesson or keep on wasting your life in obscurity, choice is yours.
When people are expressing said opinions in the form of whining, then why would I bother sugarcoating it? Besides, if you really see my casual banter as "disrespectful" then maybe the internet isn't the most friendly place for you. I'm sure plenty of people cared what I had to say because I literally defended my points with logical argumentation, instead of telling them that they're disrespectful for voicing their opinions and then following up by saying they're going to waste their lives away. Because, come to think of it, that would be fairly hypocritical, would it not? :P
Well said Sir
I am getting used to the art style, but I still don't like how the leaders look TOO cartoony. Cleopatra's exaggerated expressions remind me of the Sims 4. Despite that, the gameplay looks so exciting! Can't wait for October!
I feel the same. I don't like the map but I think that I will appreciat it with time.
But seriously, I will never like the leaders. Cleopatra is supposed to be one of the most elegant and beautiful person of the antiquity and here she just look like the vilain of a bad Disney. And Roosevelt seems to have a tumor.
( sry with my english :/ )
i personally like it. they look really expressive and extravagant, though i miss the regal and majestic feeling of the civ 5 leaders
Reminds me of the leaders from Tropico 5
Egyptians have exaggerated expressions as well. Some cultures use hand gestures...
it looks anime so i'm in
Words can hardly describe how deeply I dislike the aesthetic.
It looks like a game somebody would play in a browser or on Facebook
I think it's fine
You can have a lack luster aesthetic, but if the AI is shit and you have dumbed down or taken away options, then you have a real pile of crap on your hands.
To all the people complaining about how bad it looks, see you in October.
It's not about seeing us in October. We'll all be there, buying the game. It's about longevity, just like how it was with Beyond Earth. Beyond Earth failed to be different enough, so we didn't like it. This game threatens to kill immersion with cartoony graphics, which is a huge turn off for some people. If I'm not immersed in my Civ games, why am I playing them? Some people don't understand the value immersion has for players, and these graphics are a GIANT immersion killer.
>If I'm not immersed in my Civ games, why am I playing them?
It's a good way to kill 6 hours?
hearts of iron 4 fuck civ this like balls
You mean 60 hours right?
Peter Magro I meant in one uninterrupted session
The more I watch, the more I appreciate the art style. I really think it is something that will grow on people.
Plus, the new engine is super mod friendly, so expect a realistic art syle mod soon after release!
Will different countries get different tanks? I'm a WW2 fanatic and I would hate it if Germany and Russia both used M4 Sherman's...
Are you new to Civilization? Usually there aren't any specific units, there's just Tank and APC. Only unique units have special names and are based on something.
Joller I'm talking about the art style of the units. They did they say that units will look different depending on which country they come from.
I always hate it when I'm playing as Japan and I'm fighting Russia with T-34-85's.
Like Joller said - Don't expect unique models for each nation outside of any nation unique units. No that doesn't include generic tanks.
+Buzzing Bee haha :)
Just a few things I'd like to comment on. First and foremost, Everyone complaining about the art style. Personally, I like it. CIV doesn't need a realistic art style. They've never had a realistic art style. It's always be somewhat cartoony. They arn't going to change the art style 4 months before launch so just suck it up and get use to it.
Secondly, a lot of the changes from CIV V to CIV VI I'm liking. I like that workers are expendable units and that roads are now built by traders. Great decisions being made with that. Making roads in CIV V was a pain in the ass. My only complaint about the roads is pathing. I'm a big fan of planning out how I want my city and surrounding area to look. That's including how the road is laid out from city to city. I'm hoping there is a manual pathing option for the trader unit. Even though it's now super easy to make roads. I don't want to the trader to just decide what's the best way to lay this road. IE the quickest path.
On the topic of making the surrounding area how I want it to look. I couldn't help but notice that there is no option to rotate a specific tile piece to a angle that you want it to face. The tile is just built based on your city layout. Is there something we can do about this?. The biggest example I can give can be seen in this video. When the player builds a wonder, the entrance is facing the mountains. I would want it to face the city while the the back faces the mountain. Something like that, even though it's a small thing, really annoys me. I guess it's my OCD kicking in but I'd really like to be about to rotate my tile builds before the workers start building. Hopefully you guys can make that happen?. I don't want to have to wait for someone in the community to make a mod for that. This is something you guys should of had planned day 1 if you were going to introduce a new tile building mechanic.
Super excited for this game. It truly looks like a great CIV game. I can't wait for October.
So we can't complain about the art direction but we can about the orientation of a wonder ?
:D
Pyramids must be on desert?
No more Pyramids sunken into the Oceans?
But, but why?
Can somebody please clarify to me why graphics make a big difference to gameplay? All I hear and read is people criticizing the game's graphics when there is alot more to video games than how it looks. I don't hear anybody hating on Minecraft or Rocket league so what is the problem?
PropSpairGaming graphics are pretty big part of game
Reximax that does not answer how minecraft is popular though has very bad graphics
PropSpairGaming well ask mimecraft players for that i never played it
With that in mind, your answer is irrelevant to my question if you do not know why. Graphics are not a big part of a game, it just means it looks pretty but if you have a game with "Realistic" graphics but has no emotional or immersive experience for you, it's going to suck.
PropSpairGaming its a strategy game for god sake its not supposed to be emotional
when they capture Giza it shows a keep city or raze city choice, does that mean foreign capitals can now be razed?
If so that suggests conquest has changed again
No the option was greyed out
ok thanks mate
I'm really hopin for Brazil, you know
Yes, let's have some peace loving civs.
Brazil is in Brave New World in Civilization 5.
(If you're talking about the new civs that have never been in any previos games. I myself hope for Mexico.)
+Joller I know, but i need to spread muh golden ages throughout CIV 6 too D:
Kills 80% of the male Paraguayan population, "peace loving civ" lmao
+Max Stenner Solano did keep sending people to fight due to his "the country dies with me" ideology instead of giving up. But hey, wars arent nice either way
Im afraid they streamlined this game for the worst reason ever: new players. Ex: the caravan auto builds a road, archaeologists will show up later in the game cause they dont want us to get overwhelmed with stuff. Overwhelm us ! Stop helping the players to the point where your are making it less interesting. More help = less player errors, less bad decisions thus less interesting.
Looks like there are more decisions to make regarding specialization in VI than V, with districts and all. In any case, you can still build your own roads with military engineering later, and they explained the reasoning for caravans building roads, and it had nothing to do with making it more accessible.
I just noticed that the Production icon is the same as in Civ Beyond earth. Placeholder maybe?
LAZY DEVS CONFIRMED!?!?!?
EXPOSED?!???!!!!!
SID MEIER CRYING ON STREAM
Wow this is so lame i'm so not gonna buy this game because of that. they sure didn't have better thing to do than change a fcking icon that tbh is pretty decent.
GAME NOT FINISHED YET CONFIRMED?!?!?!?
I liked the graphics. Its not something exceptional, CIV 5 was way more realistic, but this is what Civilization graphics is supposed to be. This is a strategy game, not a simulator. Alright, it is a game based on management of Civilizations, but the game is not meant to simulate a real situation, this is a game that is only about STRATEGY and DECISIONS that is based on the management of civilizations, but what happens on this game is far from real life situations. So, this graphics are ok for me, could have been better, of course, but they are ok.
Well, I have more than 4000 hours in civ 5... and 3000 in civ 4... and you said the keey word... REALISTIC... how can I feel realistic in a pixar game? How can I feel inspiration in a kids game? Today I play a game with full HD or better and suddenly appears this flash game... I respect your opinion and this is mine, have a good day.
Realistic war? Do you mean war without melee units because archers and ranged units are much more useful? Do you mean cannon units soloing a rifling unit? Where is the realistic on Civ 5? Luxuries making the people of your civilization happier? Great wall of China that makes enemies lose movement on your ENTIRE territory. Sorry bro, I think we are talking about different games.
I know Civ doesn't do this but I would love it if at some point we could get different looking units for each faction, so we don't feel like we're playing the same faction just with different stat boosts. I think it would make people play more of the factions and for much longer just so they could see all the different styles.
Just want to say I love that you guys made this video!! It's awesome seeing the devs discussing the mechanics and potential strategy space with the audience like this! The casual market just wants flashy trailers and high-level views of what has changed, and I totally get that. But I'm really glad Ed Beach has taken the time to engage with the "hardcore" Civ fans too by giving more specific details
this is the same gameplay
True, this is the same video we released on the channel already, but this version has commentary from some of the key developers working on the game. We thought you guys would enjoy the extra insight. :)
lol I thought you meant as in it is the same gameplay as Civ 5 (AKA Same game)
+Sid Meier's Civilization fix this please! lots of people hating this new style!
William Mills
I dislike the style aswell. But what I've heard is that they made it so it would be easier to distungish different buildings etc. when you zoom out. It's also alot easier to make textures, models and other stuff with a cartoonish style.
And hey we got Wonder cutscenes and more models in the cities.
+Joller im almost positive they could of used realistic textures.
All twelve Districts: Campus, Holy Site, Encampment, Commercial Hub, Entertainment Complex, Theater Square, Aqueduct Spaceport, Harbor, Industrial Zone, National Parks, Air Fields.
Districts:
1- City Center
2- Campus
3- Holy Site
4- Theater Square
5- Entertainment Complex
6- Harbor
7- Comercial Hub
8- Encampment
9- Industrial Zone
10- Spaceport
11- Acqueduct
12- Airport
13- 3 OPTIONS 1) neighborhood as a district (the neighborhood changes south west of Big Ben) - 2) if it´s not a wonder, Corporate (financial) Center north of XI´AN, where the lumbermill was - 3) a Spying, Intelligence District, which would mean it has not been shown in the video
Right?
I like the game very much so far. Graphics could be a bit more crisp and the separation of tiles less abrupt, but that's probably nitpicking. I really love the wonder building stages!
1 hex away from coast cities problem resolved amazingly! Hats off!!!
I wanna see natural wonders now!! Kreygasm
Civ III was the first version I played too. Now, I'm playing Civ V. I miss the customizing of my palace, when the people have been happy enough long enough. I would love to see that in Civ VI.
Sorry Firaxis, I love you but this game is ugly. Other games manage to look good and still have great gameplay, you know. It's not a real excuse.
It looks a lot better than Civ V. There, I said it. Graphically is definitely superior, the map art if gorgeous and I love how the actual game is an animated version of the fog of war. The way everything is on the map make it look even better.
wait a week for the mods, but personally i dont really mind it. the actual gameplay is the most important and looks pretty good.

subjective.
I loved these type of videos for Beyond Earth, really excited to see one for Civ VI ! hopeful for more to come !
This game looks downright amazing. I cannot wait until October. Please have a good release, I beg you.
Questions: With wonders and districts taking up map tiles, cities have fewer improvable tiles, ultimately limiting city yields like food. Once a wonder is placed, it can't be changed, right? Puts a hard limit on how many wonders a city can have before people starve from lack of food.
Changes to internal trade routes might change this.
With harbours, naval combat seems pretty pointless, no? Building a coastal city seems like a terrible idea now since you don't need them to build ships and coastal cities have much fewer tiles- no room for districts or wonders. Single tile islands are garbage.
This just came to mind:
In Civ V, when sieging cities, a lot of the buildings would get destroyed. Now, since they're no longer in the city (for the most part) they won't be lost unless pillaged. (or something)
Well there are still buildings inside of the city center that may be damaged upon attacking
cosmichero 2025 As much as I can tell, only low tech buildings are in the city. Granary, monument, and the like. Those may be at less of a risk of being destroyed.
I'm really looking forward to this. I've been playing since Civ III and I love the strategic improvements that keep on coming. First with single units per tile and now districts and embedded units. I can't wait to play this game.
it would be really nice if the leaders changed over time... i think that ceasar would not still being wearing a toga in the 21st century for example....
It would be nice. I mean I would like it too. As the advisors changed appearance and outfit based on era in the previous titles.
However, on the specific Caesar example... I actually think he would still wear a toga! Just not the "leaf" crown (don't know it's name, sorry).
That's like Civ 3! Abraham Lincoln wearing animal skins in ancient and Montezuma with the suit in modern were hilarious~
Yea it would be nice if they actually improved aesthetics other than style. Why can't Civ leaders change over the eras or hell why can't each civ have unique looking units? I mean it honestly couldn't have been that hard. I at least assume it wouldn't be.
I don't think Caesar would live long enough to get a modern suit. You're overthinking it.
Wysch Thats true, but I also don't think Caesar lived all the way to the space age either.
Not needing to be on a coast to make ships has got to be one of my favorite additions, actually...
Love how the knights charge right through the enemies, like a heavy armor charge through the ranks of the helpless foot soldiers. very nice touch!
I absolutely LOVE the graphics! I am currently playing civ 4. Tried to like Civ 5 but it just cannot replace civ 4.
Oh damn Sean Bean commentary! Hopefully he doesn't die this time...
4:24 their faces are... not very confident in this installment of CIV
lol yes what a look
I don't know. They are just very anti social game makers.
Civ Vi looks pretty good. I wish I could know more about it, (or better yet have some gameplay now) but I am excited. Good job Firaxis team on creating good ideas on how to improve the civilization experience.
Didn't the bloke on the left used to have bright red hair and be named 'Beaker'? He's got the Beaker nod. Unsettling.
I love the map-like aesthetic of hidden tiles and moving through them
will you be able to establish tariffs into the game, in order to discourage players from trading with you if you decide to play more isolated?
This, I really hope this. The new Road system is abysmal as it cuts off any form of defending capability.
+PH03NIX96 It's historical
+Vincent Susilo No its not. Interior roads yes and I am for these changes, however that the fact remains that I apparently have no control on aggressors and where they road short of starting a war is hardly historical.
in civ 4 playing the world i noticed that each culture had special unit looks for certain units; german knights and japanese knights looked different. could we expect that kind of detail in civ 6? Unit look dependent on cultural background?
i didnt like the artstyle first but now im inlove with it!
Thank you Civ Devs. So stoked.
Considering the big draw card was about not playing the same game every time, I heard a lot of "it's important to get this" and "I use that a lot".
I like the graphics. I like the new mechanics, I like most of the new things here. I believe it's a great improvement from past installments. However, as a personal observation, I liked the workers (now builders) animation. I hope they add the option to select builder's animation in the game.
The walkthrough has been edited and put together like a movie, it's not actual gameplay, because he would be playing and showing us the game. That's not comforting.
Will it be another buggy mess like Civ 5, I will never buy a Civ game at launch because of that, gonna wait a few months for it to be ready.
I really hope not, every shred of me is hoping that civilization hasn't jumped on the "Lets fuck over our fans" gaming bandwagon.
I just hope they don't go like Sega and start milking their fan base.
Is there any indication as to the type of units Civ VI will have? I would hope true amphibious warfare would return. That means (hopefully) the return of transport units. Maybe even amphibious type warships such as, Helo-Carriers, and vehicle transports. Maybe have a C-130 personnel transport aircraft with the discovery of Flight. Or bring back the building of airfields. And when will we get a look at the leaders/civilations? Hopefully Queen Isabella is as good looking as she was in Civ IV and V.
Can't even show actual gameplay, just play a pre-recorded game (with several presentation hacks) frame by frame. That's... very disheartening.
Well it's more of a discussion in this video, the full gameplay without frame by frame is located in another video
That's beside the point. Instead of actually recording new gameplay and commenting on ACTUAL decisions based on ACTUAL gameplay, they just sit and react to a presentation video that isn't an actual game of Civ VI.
Mansen
Well even though it's scripted it still presents some features which they discuss about right? And I don't think they want to spoil too much YET.
Protip: don't preorder until the day before (unless they don't offer any bonuses)
Joller Oh don't you worry. I'm done pre-ordering games after years of disappointing AAA games.
Especially considering how they all but abandoned Beyond Earth.
+Mansen no they have rising tide
The one thing I've noticed is that a city's cultural borders appear to only expand out to 3 tiles instead of 5. It doesn't look like you can play "tall" anymore. I hope there are at least some serious restrictions to just mindlessly plop down city after city. If they've turned Civ into a "settler spammer," I'm going to be upset.
Noticed that as well. I sure as hell hope they're just playing on a small map or something. My cities need their lebensraum!!
I feel the depth of the city comes with the districts. Rather than the city itself working tiles, Tall cities will still be very viable, but they well be a bit larger, and you will have a bit more contol on how they grow.
Question 3:
In one interview (whose reference I cannot find at the moment), Ed Beach said that a "second hidden agenda feature" that would come into play at around mid game might be added before release, is that still a plan?
Is it true that Leonard Nimoy is returning from the Here-after to do the voice-overs??
Seriously, I'm DEFINITELY going to try it!!!
This game is beautiful!
Did firaxis ever look at the CBP mod for civ V? Did it inspire you at all?
the design is shit looks like it was made with playdo wtf bring back civ 5 graphics
Bring back Civ 4's realistic style! Civ 5 is pretty good though.
If you want Civ5 graphics just keep playing Civ5? It's not like anyone is taking that game away from you.
The graphics look fine
and your answer is the stupidest i've read all day ^^'
***** xD i'm not -> i'm learning !
Question 1:
24.34: Why can´t barracks and stables be both built in an encampment district? (barracks for melee and ranged units, the other for mounted units... having them mutually exclusive seems counter intuitive)
Sean Bean has seen the oracle? HE IS THE ORACLE!
Well I for one really enjoy the aesthetic. Kinda reminds me of Civ Revolution which brings back good memories but I completely get why others might not like it.
Looks very cool :) could you add a customizable civilization? Think a lot of people would love to have the ability to make their own civ, with its own special units, special buildings, and own pros and cons. Along with a "blank" leader that you can customize too look the way you want :)
Harbor districts, allowing cities to build ships and trade that are only NEAR the coast?! YES!!
I have a bad feeling this game won't surpass Civ 5.
Well Civ5 did not surpass Civ4 until they charged you a whole other game worth of money in DLC.
The difference is that Civ 5 started with good "bones". It may have felt a little empty at first, but there was lots of room to grow. Civ 6 looks...like a cartoon. Its bones are not great. The gameplay might be great, but the presentation, from the land to the leaders to the UI...it's all very troubling.
Brian Mardiney
After they fixed it which took a few months.
Yeah but to "fix" the issues in Civ 6, they would need to start over and rebuild again.
Where is the advance-ness of advanced scientific creature-buildings and aliens and space tech, whyyyyy stopppp atttt soldierssssssssssssss omggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.
Question 2:
39.59: The horses get replaced by coal, does it mean that horses will disappear from the map at some point and become obsolete, unlike in past civs?
I see that the traders build bridges aswell. How about larger, longer bridges? To connect to islands. Or what about tunnels like the one between UK and France?
That'd be an interesting idea. Say if there was only one tile of water separating two landmasses some late game tech could allow you to build a bridge connecting them.
Cool idea, but the bridge would look so freaking huge though :p
:D
Super excited. Love the new art style and the city expansion! :)
In addition to a time of day system, could you add a season system? Like food output in winter is weaker or units take attrition?
I see night and day cycle; does this mean this will have a bearing on the game or is it just for show? If you attack at night; will you get a bonus? Night bombing gives you extra bonus?
Designer's, question. Will you make an earth map that will have true starting locations. Just as an option. I love playing on random continent maps on civ v. But, I have to go to mods, if I'm feeling like trying to play and see what earth would be like if Rome didn't fall, or if Mayans didn't disappear. Just wondering. Would be awesome to have that one earth map as a selection that has city states, and civs start at true starting locations. Excited for this game!
Man, I can't wait for some youtubers to get their hands on the game so we can see some live gameplay :)
So you can't move your settler for your capital anymore?
I'm pretty sure they said that they could have moved to the coast but just didn't.
You can move your starting settler
I'm hoping building like the temple or church can be built in other disticts. Having a religious site in the middle of non-religious environments is a constant of real world civilisation, and it wouldn't look right if you couldn't do that in game.
wtf is that Ugly Blood splat during combat animation. as if the game didnt look cartoony enough. add some pow , Bang Boom effects too while you are at it.
Combat animation was lack luster indeed.
so both cities and builders can construct districts? or are the builders limited to certain districts/improvements?
I'll be waiting a few months and picking this up at half price, Civ 5 was full of bugs and not worth full price, everything was a step back on Civ 4 except the gfx, Beyond earth had issues also, you cannot trust that the product will be worth buying at launch, the patient will get a massively better deal as always.
2 ideas.
1. It would be cool if we could create our own Civilization kinda like in Beyond Earth
2. If we could have a list of the leaders to chose from for our Civilization instead of just having the one, like having Ronald Reagan instead of George Washington.
hanging gardens improves growth by 15% in alll cities, so it is like a worse version of the temple of artemis
Devs please increase the number military units, these look like couple of dudes taking it out behind the bar.
They would need to expand the land mass and really they should, everything in Civ 5 felt closer together, when we need things more spread out.
Can you guys temper with the idea of making the game about Civ 5 and BE , that will take you from 10k BC to Beyond Earth .Please
Dear developers,
We would love to see different textures for different cultures units. We always see western based units and buildings and we have to wait for mods to solve this annoying lack of immersion. Thanks.
Thanks for the video, enjoyed the explanations from these guys.
Don't make this game into "CIV 5 games dumbed down for new players". I get it that it will get you more sales and overall more players/playtime. But please don't forget us veterans!
Who knows what will be in store though. It could still have the extreme planning and min maxing of Civ 5 all veterans use in the game, and possibly more
They are not dumbing it down, but taking out some of the unnecessary waiting that exists in the Civ series. I love the series, but unit stacking (from Civ IV and before) and worker time was not strategic at all. After mid game, most people automated their workers anyways. Civ V can also still can be micromanaged and your cities can be maximized to extreme potential if you know what you are doing, so you can't argue that Civ V is a dumb game. Civ V had a great UI compared to the older games and wasn't alienating to new players or hardcore fans. I assume this one will be the same.
iqpok I was talking about civ 6. civ 5 was and is an excelent game. Working time is very strategic IMO. Just becuse its not super fun for everyone dosent mean it makes for tactical decicionmaking. (sry for horrible english)
BruKKen It can be tactical at the beginning, yes, but they also were still heavily tedious once a person got to mid/late game and lost most of the tactical focus. Towards the end of the game they just took space and many players put them on autopilot because of how annoying they were to deal with. Firaxis is a great company who has not let us down so I don't think they plan on forgetting veterans. They are just trying to keep them being tactical, but without the tedium. Due to the charges, it will have a different more "interactive" tactical layer I think.
+iqpok yeah ur probably right. im just a little bit anxious
I really love Coastal Cities and having a boss as Navy but it looks like having all Coastal Cities (like I usually do in Civ5) won't really do well in Civ6. :(
I started with civ2. I skipped going to the toilet so many times. Good old days!
I played back then. Really enjoyed Civ 2 test of time. Even though it technically isn't part of their labeled series. I'd rather see them bring back it and expand/improve it, but without the cartoony looks.
I actually don't mind low level graphics, what I need is very complex game mechanics.
It's Got Sean Bean.....Sold!
Great to hear about the inclusion of a harbour district :D
I kinda like this aesthetic of the game. I know it's not realistic but Imo I wouldn't want the same look 2 games in a row (cough* Cod cough*) You can hate me for it but I do not mind this game
Get fucking hyped, this looks amazing!
Question 4:
How many distincts hidden agendas are there in total?
Pyramids must be built on desert tiles? But when they were actually built the climate there was quite temperate.
can someone make a mod to fix this mess?
I can't wait for the game I hope they add more West African civilizations I would pay for the Yoruba or Benin Empire being in the Ifa religion which is the 5 largest religion in the world I think it would be great to see them being represented in the new civilization game. Love the new look can't wait. I'll pay 100 bucks for civilization, being a die hard fan since civ 2 . Ife Love
I agree. Where is Moussa Menssa ??????
they should add:
Ashanti
Yoruba
Mali
Kongo
Boer
NUBIA!!!
Vandals
Somali or Swahili
Yes I totally agree just did some research on West African country Benin city of Edo here is quote from the article below "This is the story of a lost medieval city you’ve probably never heard about. Benin City, originally known as Edo, was once the capital of a pre-colonial African empire located in what is now southern Nigeria. The Benin empire was one of the oldest and most highly developed states in west Africa, dating back to the 11th century.
The Guinness Book of Records (1974 edition) described the walls of Benin City and its surrounding kingdom as the world’s largest earthworks carried out prior to the mechanical era. According to estimates by the New Scientist’s Fred Pearce, Benin City’s walls were at one point “four times longer than the Great Wall of China, and consumed a hundred times more material than the Great Pyramid of Cheops”.
Situated on a plain, Benin City was enclosed by massive walls in the south and deep ditches in the north. Beyond the city walls, numerous further walls were erected that separated the surroundings of the capital into around 500 distinct villages.
Pearce writes that these walls “extended for some 16,000 km in all, in a mosaic of more than 500 interconnected settlement boundaries. They covered 6,500 sq km and were all dug by the Edo people … They took an estimated 150 million hours of digging to construct, and are perhaps the largest single archaeological phenomenon on the planet”. www.observenigeria.com/cultures/the-great-benin-city/
This show you how powerful some of the west African countries where up until the 20th century. I will love to see some West African countries and wonders in the up and coming civ 6. :)
I agree. But I think mods have and will solved that...
jaa....der Typ ..sein Name Anton Strenger hat Damals dafür im Team gesorgt das BNW von Civ V so einzigartig sich Anfühlt..kein Vergleich zu Civ V..super Mann..
I feel like u made a mobile app & slapped civ6 to it hoping you'd make up for that shit space civ
this version is great, really pleased that they've un-stack the city. the graphic is much better as well.
Bloody hell can Sean Bean survive one time please, he's even dying in games!
Sean Bean didn't die in the walkthrough. Sad!
Hopefully they will release what they promise, without the (finalization) dlc :P
am I the only one finding the graphics horrendous compared to CIV V? Looks like a browser game.
exactly .. .look at terrible leaders cartoon look!
The music of Civ 1 is still the best..
Can't wait to play as Venice (one city, wonder spawning, cultural victory)
I wonder how possible it would be to play tall instead of wide. they should address this because all I've seen so far is wide gameplay
