So many cute dolls! The face for Western Skipper was used for a very short time, around 1978-1981ish. Then they used the original mold for a few dolls, then used the one for Hot Stuff/Tropical/Jewel Secrets Skipper. That's honestly my least favorite. And the doll you have nude is Tropical Skipper. It's not uncommon to find their hair in different shades; that goes for Barbie as well. In 1987, they introduced Teen Time Skipper which used entirely new face and body molds. The bodies were used until around 1997, and the faces until 1995. Courtney was around for a while, she even survived Skippers relaunch (and they added a much needed AA friend!) Teresa is actually still around today, being one of the few that has survived more than 20 years in the lineup. Christie and Midge sometimes make appearances, but people like Whitney, PJ, Miko... they were around and sadly discontinued. I too wonder why they change names so often, but hey, keeps the lines interesting and fresh. And as for the Western Barbie's infamous creepy eye... usually it melts to the face as well. That's sadly a common problem. much like the plether on tons of the jackets and skirts, or the vinyl used on the legs from dolls around 1986-1987, it just doesn't age well. :( It's a sad reality of doll collecting; not everything mint is perfect. Such a shame, yet, we collect anyway! Lol. xo
Totally agree with the name change thing I remember Miko she came out with tropical Barbie I was the biggest Barbie fanatic as a kid and then later on when Jem came out that ruled my entire existent. But you are correct originally Teresa doll later on became PJ diva was always diva in Barbie and the rockers she actually is Midge if you look at her face and Miko is Cara
Western fun skipper had a horse named Honey Western Barbie had a horse named Dallas Western Ken had a horse named midnight and they also put out a pony named Dixie at that time which was the daughter of Dallas and midnight

Did western skipper have bendable arms
Hunter Tomlin I'm not 100% sure since she's still in the box, but I think they were regular bent arms.
I don't think Skipper was ever sold here in the u.k unless of course she was known by a different name
