I bought these gloves upon their initial release. It was my first gauntlet glove and I love it. Flows a descent amount of air. A good cool/warm weather riding glove that provides a good amount of protection if you’re doing aggressive street riding.
Really appreciate you taking the time make these videos and answer all of these questions in the comments. Helps riders out way more than ya know. Thanks!
I use these for karting. Let me tell you the pre form [after breaking in] has a very natural feel for a steering wheel. The connected fingers really helped with fatigue. Better than any karting gloves at the same price point. Literally feels like a second skin.
hey Van, I'm considering this glove or the RST TracTech Evo 4 Motorcycle Gloves, would you recommend the rst for street riding as well as the track or mainly for track riding. i do mostly street riding track days maybe two or three times a year also which are better for colder weather riding, like 10°c. thanks in advance Jonny
100% the RST TracTech Evo gloves are a better glove and a better value. Those gloves are very comparable to the GP Pro model. If you want to ride in cold weather you will need a purpose built cold weather glove with wind proofing and insulation. - Van

Really depends on how tight they are when they are new. What I have found over the years is gloves will stretch in the palm and a bit in the fingers but do not seem to stretch as much if the fingers seem short when they are new. - Van
The Sp1 V2 is a more robust glove than the SP8 glove. If protection is an important category for you I would go with the SP1. I see the SP8 glove as a more casual full gauntlet glove. - Van

I rode these gloves all summer in the northeast. They don’t flow as much air as I’d like on the really hot days. They do make an Air version that I wish I had purchased. That said I think they give a lot of protection for the price point. They are basically a poor man’s Supertech glove.

How long did it take the gloves to break in?
@Gasson86 hot humid, 15 min sessions at time, about 4 hours. I store in air tight bags with desiccant bags for the week.
Thx man. Think im gonna snag those for the street. Like the look and was looking for a good, not too serious, gaintlet style glove.
This is an excellent street gauntlet IMO. - Van
I love these gloves, all I ride is street and canyon and they are perfect
Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback. - Van
These do have palm sliders though don't they? 'Arshield reinforcement on the palm slider for superior abrasion resistance.'
No plastic palm slider, just the reinforced fabric. - Van
Thanks for the video! Are these warm for cold weather riding?
This is a non-insulated, warm weather riding glove. - Van

Excellent gloves.... I have v2 sp8
Thanks for sharing your feedback. - Van
What gauntlet glove do you recommend that has palm sliders as well… I’m a 3xl glove (in alpine star gloves) for reference

Which one do you recommend for more daily use? This one or Alpinestars Morph Sport gloves? I want it to be durable & longterm.
Leather typically lasts longer. - Van
how would you compare this to sp2-v3. The price difference kinda pushes me to go for sp2 instead.
The Sp2 is a little nicer glove. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear yeah, I got lucky. our local store had both models and the sp2 was their last one on a 30% off... jumped on it.
What would you compare to this glove with a palm slider; important for me too

Which one do you think is better the SP 1 or SP 8?
Hey Mr. Van, İ have a question, could i use the glove under jacket?i don't like gauntlet being over the jacket .
If they will fit under the jacket no reason to not wear them that way if you prefer to wear them that way. - Van
Damn bro!! It was hard to see the gloves with that fat ice on your wrist 🥶

are they good for a slightly colder climate?

I like palm sliders on street gloves. These are cheap enough, though.
Palm sliders are a key feature for me in a glove. - Van
Most of your videos with gloves you say your a large lol
That is 100% false, I wear a 2XL in pretty much every single glove out there. Can't even get a large on. - Van
