thank you for the BTS, i wanted to create little movies on GTA, and this the coolest tutorial i seen, straight to the point ! i hope you keep doing stuff !
Dude, thank you for making this tutorial and Not Normal. Not Normal is so good for a short film made from a game. Your scripting was really good, all your shots looked really good. It looks like a real cinematic film.
Matt, this was fantastic. Really, I had to go back after watching the movie and I'm blown away by how nicely you put together the tutorial as well. Great stuff!
I’m an advanced modder and I make machinimas all the time so I pretty much knew most the things you were talking about. But at the same time their was things that I didn’t know and I’m glad I saw this videos thanx man you were a big help🔥
It's been awhile, so I don't remember the exact details, but I'm pretty sure the "jumping out of the way" animations are ones you can find in the trainer. Then, with the scene director / animation viewer mods, it's just a matter of timing it right with enough delay so they jump out of the way a beat before the car hits. I seem to recall it took a bunch of takes because the car kept hitting them haha
@@Matt_MacDonald ah yes most scenes take multiple retakes before you get them right. I understand what you mean I'll try this out. Thank you for replying!
@@CineFiveM in after effects, I did basic color correction, added lens flares, added some additional glow here and there. I think maybe some sharpening too? it's changed a lot since I made this, but the graphics mod I used was called naturalvision

Nice man!
In the machinima, how did you make the voice over? Was it a friend or someone? Or do you record it yourself and use a voice changer?
Some of the voices were friends, some were me, and some were hired voice actors.
Matt MacDonald thanks
Also i want to know how you made those two dudes at the construction site jump out of the way as the car drove through

Pls come back.
what if I use five m singleplayer
did you run it through some type of ai for the graphics or use a pack?
no AI (that wasn't a thing back when I did this). just the graphics mods listed + post process in After Effects
@@Matt_MacDonald what is after effects doing to the graphics exactly though? i might have to try those graphic packs out

What ever happened to these vids ? You’re still creating content ?
working on a Blender short now :)
