The oldest is also a true hero who often had to look after her younger siblings, feed them, teach them, pracitcally raise them - and she was the one who taught Jordan so many things.

I think just to be on the safe side the kids shouldn't go to any of the family members,find them a new non-biological family that will give them the life they deserve.

I think if the family took them in I would have it least one two three visits a week to check the home out make sure the kids are very well taken care of basically monitor the family like a hawk and if anything is suspicious then pull the kids from the home the family shouldn't have a bad rep just because the parents of the 13 children decided to be abusive. The other sister stayed with them, saw the weirdness, sat in a van to “babysit” the kids while the parents gambled, saw their physical skinny bodies, saw how they spoke, were treated with food, how they were always in their rooms and the weird permissions they had to ask, the sister also was sexually advanced on by David and Louise and fled, but never thought about what was happening to the kids? That’s a problem, people ignored all the signs.
Also the homes they sold and they had human feaces on the walls and carpets. Who buys a home like that and doesn't wonder and report that. It's amazing to me in a country like America in this day and age that abusive parents can just say we are home schooling our kids and never have anyone to answer to about anything. Absolutely disgusting.

i think it was 2010, they were about to move to California and the oldest wanted to make a run for it. she tried to get a job but was unable to, and she called her mom and she returned her to the house to continue taking care of the children.
Oh sure, now they are concerned, not when they knew the family was WEIRD, really bizarre. Everyone and especially their extended family and neighbors failed these children.

Any family members with half a brain would know that something is wrong unless they were completely estranged. She is lying and I hope those kids never have anything to do with the immediate family except the siblings sticking together.
This is so wrong! A psychopath or sociopath can fool everyone. My ex fooled everyone and got full custody. I tried to get my children out of abuse. Our house was a house of horrors and my ex just like them. I left to try to get the kids an education and they court gave the abuser full custody and treated me like the bad guy. Had I stayed I could have been just like them getting life! Thank God I took the courage to get out of my house of horrors. Before I left I made sure the children were behind enough in school that the state had to enroll them in school. This ensured them several hours a day of normalcy out of abuse. I was blamed for that and it was all twisted. None of my children speak to me and the Dad my ex came out looking like a hero. All is not what it seems!!!
It's common for evil people be good at covering up abuse. Even from family members. Its not like contact and visits were constant! However its common in severe cases for this evil to exist and no one know. It's unbelievable in fact to many. Pathological lying goes a long way to cover up domestic abuse etc.

I was abused as well by my mom and stepdad and no one knew since we leave in a different state and family only visited once a year and I was so scared to tell anyone but when I finally decided to tell my grandma she told my aunts and uncle took me with them and called the police

I know you were not making light of it. But I think she agreed to the interview partly because they did pay her money to do it, and because she wanted to help people understand the big picture, and I am sure she does feel guilty and I hope she can forgive herself. All the neighbors who never called for a welfare check are also guilty. And we as a society that fosters fear of cops (who do welfare checks,) and that says people who live in brick houses are respectable,

I have a twist on this scenario. I was at hospice level care , taking care of my 2 children and my father and sister - My wonderful Mom is deceased- pretended not too notice and offered NO support at all.
