Keith showed more genuine emotion in that short amount of time than Sherri did in the entire 2+ hour investigation video I just watched prior to her arrest. My heart goes out to him and his children.

This is not only despicable because of the emotional trauma that she caused her husband and children, but once again, Latinos are used as scapegoats. @@pookiesis1465 Thank you!!!! The first time I heard of this story was watching HIS interview and alarms were going off all over the place for me. It seemed so fake to me. I had no idea watching that interview that there was any suspicion about the whole thing being fake but watching HIM had me thinking they both made this whole thing up. The only thing that looked legit to me was when he had genuine emotion over having to tell his son that they didn’t know where mommy was. The way that emotion came out of him can’t be faked and then I felt bad for being suspicious but then I realized, just because I’m seeing genuine emotion over how it affected his kid, doesn’t mean the rest of the story can’t be a lie. It’s just hard to shake off those suspicions now that we know for sure it really was a lie.
He needs to get a paternity test to make sure the kids are hers. A woman like this isn’t above lying to a man about who really fathered the children.

Can you imagine if her former lover was really a bad guy and had actually hurt her badly (or worse), then the police would have automatically had to suspect the nice guy husband! They were already looking at him with a little suspicion as it was with her just "missing." It makes you wonder how many husband's or wives get blamed when somebody just skips out on them.

Rewatching him talking to interviewers... years ago I never thought it was him. To learn how badly he and his children were misled? Watching them again hurts in a whole new way. That woman has caused an unfathomable amount of pain and trauma to that family and I hope she never gets custody of her children again. You left them. That will be with them for the rest of their lives. You don't get to just waltz back in.
I remember when she was still missing and the husband was crying in the interviews pleading for the abductors to bring her back alive and people still thinks he had something to do with her disappearance. Though it hurts to find out his wife is bonkers and was probably cheating on him, it's good that he's finally out and can move on from this dumpster fire.

Keith reminds me of my husband. Very sweet, loving and protective. My husband would stand by me to the very bitter end just like him. My heart hurts for him, their children, James, their families and all the latina women that faced ridicule due to her lies.

More like a modern American woman who adhered to the evil instinct of alpha seed beta need. The alpha took care of her sexual needs. The beta loved, married her, and provided her with resources. Paternity test, make sure those kids are really his.
I believe Dr. Todd Grande labeled her a vulnerable narcissist and I think that fits more. She inflicted all this abuse on herself because of a desperate need for attention. She hurt those around her surely but not in a direct way. A malignant narcissist willingly inflicts harm on those around them to purposely hurt them. I am so horrified that this man who was willing to cry on national TV to find and then later defend his wife, is being humiliated and traumatized all over again because of her mind bogglingly unnecessary fraud. Crying on TV indicates the characteristics of a beta male which motivated the wife to seek out alpha male masculine sex with the boyfriend. The crying caused her to lose respect for him. The husband needs to get a paternity test because there is a strong possibility the kids aren’t his.
The alpha male takes care of the woman’s sexual needs including off spring.

Think about she sequestered herself in a room, covered up the windows, , inflicted injuries herself, asked her ex to brand her, starved herself the first day they where in his apartment. it seems to me she was rehearsed the whole charade to look like a real kidnapping. then asked the former boyfriend she missed her children and wanted to go back . She never intended to start a romantic relationship with the ex, (I truly believe ex was duped by her though). my five cents.

She’s serving time in a federal prison for lying to authorities about faking a kidnapping and she also abandoned her children at their daycare so that she can go have fun with her boyfriend and he was only able to get temporary custody of his children and they still allowed her to get digital visitations from prison…. Goes to show you how biased family courts are against men. If it was him that went to prison for lying to the authorities, he would’ve never got to see those kids again.

Poor guy. In the interview where the police are confronting her, the police step out and she and her husband talk. He begs her to tell him the truth, but he’s also trying to support her whilst telling her she needs to be truthful with authorities. I feel so bad for him. I hope he’s doing better.

I can’t even imagine what it must be like for him to have wasted so much time and energy for someone who manipulated him. He clearly loved her, this is just distressing.
I will tell you something he probably is feeling. He's humiliated and he probably feels like every part of his relationship with her was a lie. He's probably in a fog and doesn't even know who he really is anymore. Living a lie in a fake marriage is tough to come back from. Not only do you have to figure out what made you stay, but you have to figure out why the other person is sick so you can understand why they did you dirty. It's like your soul being butchered every single time you think about the past. If I were him I would get some professional help and cognitive therapy. To learn that you mattered not at all after you put everything in there, is the single most damaging thing you can go through. You wonder if any of it was true. You question yourself like what did I do wrong? And then you try to make excuses for them because it can't be true that they are really sick and twisted. It's almost like having a breakdown five times a day. Narcissist cause permanent lifelong emotional, mental, physical, psychological, and spiritual damage.

I live in Northern California and for the majority, people here are still saying Keith was in on the hoax, even though he was cleared of any involvement by law enforcement. The comments by locals, on the news threads are, for the majority, untrue, unkind and disgusting. I'm embarrassed by my community! Nice to come here and see that most of the comments are factually accurate, kind and supportive! The man has been through enough!
Terrifying isn't it, how many people buy into the craziest conspiracy bull! We've seen so much of this in recent years politically and with the Covid crisis. In this case, what is really cringeworthy is thinking about them being called to jury duty, where they would have a biased opinion based on their "feelings" & the conspiracy rumor mill instead of actually paying attention to the facts and solid evidence

I Also live in Nor Cal. Most people I know that know about this story think she’s a wack job and he’s a simp for putting up with her. People are out of their minds to think that he would be in on it with her running off with her ex boyfriend. But many lack the basic common sense in this world.

I am happy for him and he is making the right decision. His children need him more than ever and his walking away is the best option for him.. And I hope that ex-wife never get to see her kids again unless it is under constant supervision and as for her enabling family, the only way they should seen them is during his discretion. Plus, when his kids get older, he needs to have a heart to heart with them.
Who you marry is probably the biggest decision anyone can make. It effects how your kids are raised and can really set the course for the rest of your life. Poor guy. The world would be a better place if people actually took into account how their actions affect those around them. I hope the best for him and those 2 children.

I feel so freaking awful for him and their family. Basically all of Sherri’s friends and family. I cannot imagine how scared they were for her life.
