Just like all my teachers failed me and nobody cares/cared. Try this for size, 3+ teachers making fun of you and the entire class starts busting out laughing at you. Also them intentionally ignoring you when you're raising your hand. I could go on and on. I learned that nobody actually cares, they just pretend they do. I can actually relate with her/them on alot of things. There's more than just them that it's happening to.

I had a high school friend, and her sister, who rode the bus with us. She had random bruises. One day she had a lot of them, she flinched away from contact and I’m pretty sure a teacher reported it because that was the last day they went to our school. They simply disappear without explanation.
This was back late 70s and I’m sure that wasn’t the first or last time because they came to our school mid semester a year prior. I doubt any good records were kept and I’m sorry I didn’t know why she would flinch if you suddenly went to touch or hug her.

      @MisstyG Год назад +31

      Yoseg Yorman,
Yes! You can see, when she's first talking to the officer, that her PTSD is peeking. That is common when someone is trying to get away from a long-time dangerous situation, or they have just gotten out, they know that that's the most dangerous time for them.
When women finally escape an abusive relationship, that is when they are most likely to be killed or nearly killed, right after breaking free. That's where the PTSD is at its highest point. The victims have been psychologically manipulated to fully believe that if they try to get free, they will die... so if they actually do get the courage to get away, there's a part of their mind that fully believes they're going to die, while other parts of their mind want to break free from all the psychological manipulation, abuse, and control.
These children will need lots of help with learning healthy relational boundaries, or they will end up with abusive people, or as abusers themselves. That is typically what happens, if they don't get serious help, because they learned to either be abusers or to be abused.

@@gummy5862 I think because people like us who went through abuse know we are going through stuff and the older we get the more we realize we have so much trauma we haven’t dealt with.
I mean I remember as a young child dreaming, wishing and praying I can just runaway and a loving family will take me in and I didn’t go through half of what they went through but nevertheless, it’s still a traumatic experience.
I remember, all of a sudden I couldn’t speak audibly or look into anyones face when talking and this was me in my early twenties. I had left home but the fact I didn’t have a voice or say in my home growing up soon caught up with me.
I’m worried about all of them especially the ones because they’ll have to learn to be courageous, outspoken, independent in their opinions on things, they’ll have to learn to not let people use them. They’re nice because I don’t know but most people I’ve come across that were abused as kids just turn out nice. They’ll have to learn how to say no and not feel guilty. It’s a process but they’ll overcome.

I fully sympathize with and understand Jordan as a man who risked his life to South Korea to escape dictatorship and tyranny in North Korea. My father was a Navy officer who often beat four brothers and my mother, including me.
When I was young, I was forced to perform in the card section of the system propaganda, when we make a mistake during practice, we were chained like Jordan and beaten severely by soldiers. I live in Siheung, Korea (near Seoul), and here in South Korea is heaven. I even feel guilty because I feel like I'm living too rich in South Korea.
Like Jordan, I secretly watched a South Korean video in North Korea and opened my eyes to the outside world, and that's when I decided to defect. When I was watching the drama, I saw South Korea so nice so that I thought, "Why am I living here like this?"
Unfortunately, however, I still left my two brothers in the north, and my mother was shot dead by Chinese soilder while crossing the Yalu River. Please don't let Jordan's brothers suffer from the sadness of family dissolution like me.
Like Jordan, when I walked on the streets of Seoul for the first time in South Korea, I felt that this was heaven.
I hope that the deification and brainwashing of Kim Il-sung will be lifted and freedom will be settled in North Korea.
North Korea is the California horror house expanded to the national level.
Fun fact) I went to Seoul by subway with my passport and asked the station staff where the checkpoint is. lol

The smell thing is still probably a traumatizing thing for her. As someone who spent several years living in filth as a child I’m very self conscious about the way I smell.

I have two children I adopted from the foster care system who are also very worried all the time about how they smell. It's less now, four years in, but when we were first blessed with them, they would both ask me at least 7-8 times a day if they smelled, and it would take an hour to reassure them that they didn't stink before we left the house. It was/is totally heartbreaking.
I hope you're doing well now. I'm sorry that you went through that :-/. I agree that it's something that haunts you, but I'm sure that you smell fine

I HATE HATE HATE how some people hide their evil hearts behind a religious mask. NO ONE who is a genuine, real, loving Christian would ever ever ever do this to these beautiful ladies and their siblings! I hope they know that there are Christians out there that are real.
