I watch a lot of different RUclips fishing channels when I have time. This channel I always make time to watch. Most in depth and just a great channel and my favorite. Keep making the amazing videos Matt and Tim.
I don’t know why nobody talks about this more. I love throwing Man Bear Pigs and Brush Hogs on Beast Coast Swing Heads. The action is crazy. No matter where i go lake or pond, it always gets big bites! Thanks Matt! Come to Ohio and fish with me!
I’m a Michigander, and we have just barely started the spawn in the Saginaw Bay in Lake Huron! I think it’s awesome when you guys travel! Love the vids, keep it up! Love the information
You guys are absolute LEGENDS!!! Tacticalbassin the one stop shop for learning about new techniques with answers to absolutely all my questions. only Bass channel needed on youtube! so much content and so thorough. Thanks for the great vids. A fan from South Africa.
Hey Matt, I just want to start by saying you and Tim are great teachers, and that is a huge compliment. Second, alot of us guys in the midwest fish mud bottom waters like ponds. Could you do a video on how you would fish this kind of water? If you need to do a video and you're coming back thru the Des Moines, Iowa area, I have a couple good ponds that I can take you to. Either way, keep up the good work. I think I can speak for most people on here, we appreciate you and your knowledge. Thanks.
This trips me out because I tied on my swinging jig for the first time this year just yesterday evening and BOOM swinging jig video. Its not the first time this has happened either!! Makes me feel like I'm doing something right 😁🤙🏻
Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!! for putting out such priceless informative videos!!! I would have never thought to fish these heads like what I learned from you just now. I have a few packs of the strike king, I bought two years ago and only fished them like a jig so I was never a real fan of them but now I can picture a ton of spots to throw this setup. Thank you again!!
I love how you mentioned trends in bass fishing... everyone including myself has been throwing a ned rig like crazy lately. However, many of us have seemed to have neglected the finesse tube. They don't see them that much and oh boy have I been taking advantage of that!
Great informative video... I love this format, because I'm not distracted by the fishing. A part 2 video showing this technique in action would make a great follow up... You guys thoroughness is what keeps me watching. Thanks for sharing.
It worked pretty well for me this spring locating smallies on flats too. It's definitely one of my favorite moving bait options, super versatile and easy to use.
Holy shit I jus realized something, it's been almost 9 years since I been tuning in, damn I'm getting old already. Never put out a bad vid. Much love and respect from an Arizona neighbor 🤙
I caught my PB last year about 2 weeks after your last swing head video @ 8.3lbs. Using the z-craw. Thanks for always posting such great info. You have definitely made me a better fisherman!
Perfect time for this video. Threw it some this weekend and just couldn’t get bit in the same places I was hammering them on a shakey head and needed that bigger bite badly.
That color explanation was great. I’ve experienced the same thing. Green pumpkins gona get you all kinds of bites but those darker colors will get you the bigger bites.
I use the Strikeking Tungsten 1/2oz. I've always used Zoom or Strikeking plastics. Just varies, so many great baits out there today. Thanks for taking time on your trip to drop that knowledge. #TB 👊🏼
i gotta say, I personally like this style of videos. You aren't distracted by fishing, everything is laid out and all samples/ examples are available for demonstration. Don't take this to mean I don't like the videos you fish in. Both are very informative. I watched the Watts bar swing head video right before this one. This style is just more "basics" related, where I feel videos need to be more focused and prepared.
Hopefully you are headed to Lake St. Clair for some Giant Smallies. I have only tried this technique once or twice. The creatures and craws that you mentioned are nice and I am sure others like the Zoom Brush Hogs, etc... would work. A buddy of mine used the Havoc Grass Pig in the Swamp Gas color up on Lake Erie and caught some nice smallies. I would imagine your solid paddle tail swimbaits like the Keitechs, RI Skinny Dippers, Zoom Swimming Flukes, etc.. would crush em too. I have also thought big ribbon tail worms on ledges would also work from time to time in getting that kicker fish. Thanks for sharing an update on this extremely viable technique.
Fantastic Matt, thanks. Loved your tweak to the hook angle to buy you that second to load up on a softy bite. That only comes from catching a lot of fish and knowing it! Thanks man for keeping it clear and simple from all your experience. I have learned a ton and keep learning with each video!. Would love to get out to Cali some day and do some fishing with you through your service. I will be heading up to Mn next week to go fishing on lake next to Mille Lacs lake and weather look like they are not hot enough to be in a summer pattern yet so I am hoping. Thanks again Matt and have fun out there!
Awesome. Last time i picked up a swing head i killed the skunk. I love the vids. Anyone that has questions about diff baits I reference you or your vids. cant beat em guys.
Thanks! I've been using these since your last video on them and I've actually grown to like the VMC swinging rugby head which is also made with their heavy flipping hook as well as their ewg hook. I've had great hook ups on the flipping hook. I like the strike king head also that you can add your own hook onto I've been putting the owner jungle flip hook on it. Thanks for the great video as usual Matt!
Matt, Great video and lesson on how to use the swing jig head. I love all types of jigs, especially the moving types, swim and swing. I live in a lead free state so I use Eco Pro tungsten jigs. They did not make the video but are in your list. It would be interesting to hear what you think of them. I appreciate your hook advice, they come with heavy wire 3/0 and 4/0 hooks that I think are really bigger than advertised, little and reg beavers are my favorite baits to put on them. I was thinking of changing hooks till I saw this because the little beaver does not fit all that well on the hooks. I will continue to adapt and keep the large hooks on.
Another great video, really enjoy the content you guys are putting out. If you are going through MN on your way back I would love to meet up with you. Safe travels!
Where at in northern Michigan are you? I live downstate but will be up at my cottage on torch lake next week. I love your videos and learn a lot, thanks for all the great tips.
You really need to include the Berkley Pitt Boss into the list of best creature baits. It has great action and I've been crushing them on it here in Kentucky the last few weeks...
Hi Matt, have you ever thrown them on a glass crankbait rod, while your in Michigan you should try Lake St Clair for some monster smallies (I live on the Canadian side) love the channel keep up the great content.
I was landing on using this technique this year. It’s going to be frogs, dropshot or swinghead this summer. Not to many people use it and our lake is deep and lots of weeds
Matt first of all your videos a great and second of all you should post a video on quarry fishing I live near many like couple hundred foot quarries and they are pretty tough
Nicely Done ~ almost wished you hadn't done this one. Been whaling on fatty brown bass up here for 3 seasons with that rig. btw - Michigan's Closed - Go Home . . . 😎
Y'all are great. Can you give a little info about what you think about the fishing up north this time of year. I moved from texas to maine and its pretty wild adjusting to the season changes.
Hey Matt another awesome tactic is to put a big worm such as an ole monster on a wobble head. A June bug ole worm will catch you a monster slow rolling on the ledges.
Hi Matt, way to start my week! I don’t think you mentioned this, but have you tried fishing the pivot head at night on a very slow retrieve on bottom? Seems like it could be a killer nighttime bait as well. God bless!
Look at that majestic beard! Gotta be careful with that thing or else we might see a little Matt Jr. next year 😅 Great video man. I was never sure how those things were supposed to be worked so now I might have to go buy me some
How long of a fluorocarbon or mono leader do you use with the braid, also what knot do you prefer connecting the braid to fluorocarbon? Great video as usual!!!
They use a 9loop blood knot. I tie an Alberto. I habe heard him him say 18"-24" on leader. Matt prefers mono. I only fish flurocarbon for certain situations. Braid to mono. Line size will vary on situation and technique
just got beat in a tournament by a guy with a swing head bc i caught limits of small ones on a crankbait and he was able to get some big ones on a swinghead. thought id do some research. i have certainly been missing out
Awesome vid! I do a lot of bank and kayak fishing. Ive broke my PB 2 times in the last few months and again today when I landed a 10lbs 6oz bass bank fishing. Could y'all give me any advice on how to handle my catch so I could get it mounted? I always do catch and release so I'm never prepared to keep anything.
I watch a lot of different RUclips fishing channels when I have time. This channel I always make time to watch. Most in depth and just a great channel and my favorite. Keep making the amazing videos Matt and Tim.
Justin Shedaker, AGREED-100%
Thank you Matt, Tim and your families!
For real! Im still trying to figure out the 14 haters. Mabye its a crew of jock mentality types Matt went to school with or something..? lol
Underground Open Mic Channel I’m trying to figure out why they don’t have more subs
I don’t know why nobody talks about this more. I love throwing Man Bear Pigs and Brush Hogs on Beast Coast Swing Heads. The action is crazy. No matter where i go lake or pond, it always gets big bites! Thanks Matt! Come to Ohio and fish with me!
Northern Michigan is such a beautiful part of the country. I love these technique tutorials. Great information, thank you!
Best and most informative bass fishing ever. Plain and simple!!!
I’m a Michigander, and we have just barely started the spawn in the Saginaw Bay in Lake Huron! I think it’s awesome when you guys travel! Love the vids, keep it up! Love the information

I learn a lot from you guys thank you. I was putting Zman minnows and Keitech on them this spring. It worked great.
I love how you mentioned trends in bass fishing... everyone including myself has been throwing a ned rig like crazy lately. However, many of us have seemed to have neglected the finesse tube. They don't see them that much and oh boy have I been taking advantage of that!
I love the swinging football head , I live in NH we have a lot of rocky lakes and it is my favorite thing to fish that in a chatterbait..
Got my 3-1/4lber on a swing jig today. Love your tips Matt. You have uped my knowledge & tactics Thanks for all you do.
Matt with the playoff beard going strong.
Thought the same thing.
Holy shit I jus realized something, it's been almost 9 years since I been tuning in, damn I'm getting old already. Never put out a bad vid. Much love and respect from an Arizona neighbor 🤙

So much time and work you two put into your videos. Truly appreciated and thank y’all.
That color explanation was great. I’ve experienced the same thing. Green pumpkins gona get you all kinds of bites but those darker colors will get you the bigger bites.
Great info! I fell in love with swing heads a little over a year ago! Works well with small swim baits too
Well done Matt. I remember last years version and this is the next level. Stay warm and safe!
I use the Strikeking Tungsten 1/2oz. I've always used Zoom or Strikeking plastics. Just varies, so many great baits out there today. Thanks for taking time on your trip to drop that knowledge. #TB 👊🏼

Great video luv tactical!! Shout out my bank guys need more bank videos keep it up boys

Awesome vid need 2 try this approach 🎣👌
Cool video, its getting hot here in the south and i hate to fish really slow, may have to try this instead of going with a C- rig.
Always enjoy watching your in depth videos!
Welcome to Michigan! Hope you had a great trip!!
These videos are always great, thank you for the tips and the different techniques on the shaky head
Hopefully you are headed to Lake St. Clair for some Giant Smallies. I have only tried this technique once or twice. Love flipping the rage bug or Structure bug( same thing).
Always a good video. Information is better then flash.
Another outstanding vlog Matt. I am so happy for you guys on this epic vacation. Good luck and be safe out thers...

Keitech crazy flapper!!!!!! Best swinghead bait🎣🎣🎣🎣
Got a couple packs of those will most definitely try it! Tight Lines!
Incredible action on the fall...
I was on Lake Erie this weekend in buffalo New York and we were catching them on this.
Awesome video! Definitely gonna give it a try! Thank you.
Great spend more money on fishing gear. You guys are awesome but my wife hates you 🤣😂
I agree. if we ever met those guys on the road and my wife was in the car, you guys would be in a lot of trouble!
Always great content thank you guys so much for helping me learn to bass fish and fuel my addiction 😂
Another great vid. Perfect timing as well. I just tied on a swing head last week.
Dang Matt you’ve grown a huge beard. Keep rocking man 👊 Nice work.

The BEST fishing channel on RUclips. Keep killing it!
I love it when you say Beaver
this is one of my favorite techniques in my area, thanks for the info
Swing heads are my jam: Biffle bug!!! Except, I like the head on the strike king, but prefer that superline hook. Great video as always!
Cool, I'm in northern Michigan, too. Maybe I'll see y'all at the fishin hole...
Have you guys tired the Mustad swivel heads ... They come with an integral Fastach clip ... Love those things
Awesome video, never tried this before, video quality is fine I can't tell any difference 👊👊👍👍
Great video hope you had fun in the great state of Michigan thank for visiting
Awesome. Last time i picked up a swing head i killed the skunk. I love the vids. Anyone that has questions about diff baits I reference you or your vids. cant beat em guys.

Works phenomenal on a tracer tipped senko. Jig it on the bottom or deflection in between rocks like you said.
Ill be trying this on guntersville this weekend Matt. Thanks for the great videos🎣🎣
Always very useful info, Matt. Thanks. Love your setup with the camper top. May need to look into getting one of those.
Thumbs up for being in my home state!
Matt,

Thanks guys got a tournament 15 June on the grand river I'll try this. Thanks for the Info...
Had a ton of success down in here in south Florida go to bait strike king rage bug or a gambler burner craw on a 3/8 swing head 4/0 hook.
Great tips Matt
Where at in northern Michigan are you? I live downstate but will be up at my cottage on torch lake next week. I love your videos and learn a lot, thanks for all the great tips.
Biffle head + Spicy beaver = Yeahhhh buddy!
Your videos are very informative keep up the good work
Swimbaits work extremely well with a swing head, especially on ledges.
I want to try that, are you slow rolling them on the bottom thanks
always love your videos you guys are such a great wealth of knowledge appreciate you sharing it with us!
Great video!!! Always get great info from y'all!! StayHookin!!!

Great video man. I was never sure how those things were supposed to be worked so now I might have to go buy me some
i use the strike king knuckle head with the trockar hooks for bull reds and flounder here in florida
How long of a fluorocarbon or mono leader do you use with the braid, also what knot do you prefer connecting the braid to fluorocarbon? Great video as usual!!!
He has videos on it. But I know they like a 9 loop blood knot.

Yeah right 10lbs off the bank what did you use then
