Grantee: Dr. Julie Richards, PhD, MPH/ Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute

This video features Dr. Julie Richards, a grantee of the Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education. Dr. Richards is an assistant investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute, where she studies suicide prevention in health care settings. The Center’s grant will support Dr. Richards in engaging those with lived experience - including firearm owners and individuals who have experienced suicidality - in research on interventions that integrate suicide prevention into routine primary health care, such as providing firearm locking devices to patients.
