This really is an awesome scene. Not many cartoons (nor movies, for that matter) can really capture the frenzy and confusion of a 4-sided fight, and to do so in a way that the audience has no trouble following, yet doesn't appear unrealistically step-by-step, is really impressive. Combine that with the fact that every individual's taking part in a useful way unique to each of them, with no one just being relegated to the sidelines or to generic tasks anyone could accomplish...it's done so well that it looks smooth and easy, but in fact, a fight scene like this takes a lot of talent to pull off. No other superhero cartoon ever pulled off combat so organically and interestingly, not even shows lauded for exactly that, like Justice League or Spectacular Spider-Man.

Question for all you comic nerds out there. How do you think the live action movies are gonna handle Rogue and Capt Marvel? I remember reading Rogues origin story back in the day and it said her durability and resilience, regeneration, flight, strength and even the white stripe in her hair ( though I know the first xmen movie covered this ) were all acquired because Rogue PERMANENTLY drained them from Capt Marvel who if I remember correctly was once called Ms Marvel.
not sure about the hair thing always thought she was born with it like that but maybe instead of carol danvers she can grab another character with a somewhat similar powerset like gladiator super strength, flight, durability etc.....
You'll notice when Cable first teleports onto the scene, he's on the rooftop of the building where the mutants are being quarantined. Then Rogue hits Cable on the same roof. Yet, later, the Blackbird lands on the same rooftop but Cable and Rogue are fighting fighting on the roof across the street.
Cable body slides on top of the building bishop is defending and takes up a sniper position across the street rogue fights him across the street blackbird lands on bishops side of the street
“I’ll take care of Bishop”. hahaha fucking Logan. I reckon who ever plays the next wolverine after Hugh Jackman should base himself of these old cartoons. PURE AGGRESSION ALL THE TIME.
I love the idea that Storm is just flying around with Scott for like a minute instead of immediately putting him down safely instead of them both smoking the guy, especially that she puts him back on a roof he fell off of.
Too bad Wolverine is massively nerfed in this show. I mean, everyone takes shots, falls from 30 feet, gets a house smashed on them, etc... Wolverine gets pricked by a plasma thingie once, and he curls up crying like a bitch. Excuse me, isn't he the one who is supposed to be virtually immortal, or at least regenerating quickly? Just checking.
Rarely they show this power from storm her just blasting bolts of lightning from her hands… I like that. Also I like how they make it clear that gambit, cyclops and storm weren’t missing they were just trying to beat him back into a retreat

2:06 The way Scott falls off the building and she just turns her back like nothing happened. 😂
Cable = me
The Xmen = the enemy team
I can’t remember if they ever acknowledged that Cable is Cyclops son
Nope
X-Men 97 is now addressing this plot point.
i love rogue accent
You'll notice when Cable first teleports onto the scene, he's on the rooftop of the building where the mutants are being quarantined. Then Rogue hits Cable on the same roof. Yet, later, the Blackbird lands on the same rooftop but Cable and Rogue are fighting fighting on the roof across the street.
The black bird lands on the rooftop on the other side of the street.
Cable body slides on top of the building bishop is defending and takes up a sniper position across the street rogue fights him across the street blackbird lands on bishops side of the street
This is the best version of X Men around
“I’ll take care of Bishop”. hahaha fucking Logan.
I reckon who ever plays the next wolverine after Hugh Jackman should base himself of these old cartoons.
PURE AGGRESSION ALL THE TIME.
Time warp and Hyper Viper Beam!Wish Bishop was in the vs Series by Capcom
This scene works pretty well to establish Cable as a credible threat into the show, having the XMen to basically throw the whole team to defeat him.
I do not remember cable being strong enough to trade blows with rogue. He should not be able to do that unless i am missing something.
@@gracianomaso3333 Cable is an omega level mutant created specifically to be strong enough to go up against Apocalypse.
@@adammathers4879 He's not physically strong enough to punch out Ms. Marvel-powered Rogue.
@@Nocturne22 Cable was specifically genetically engineered to be one of the most powerful mutants to ever exist.
I love the idea that Storm is just flying around with Scott for like a minute instead of immediately putting him down safely instead of them both smoking the guy, especially that she puts him back on a roof he fell off of.
This how Cable is supposed to look, not that fake clown in Deadpool 2.
Damn was waiting for nimrod. that was a badass character in the tv series :)
This cartoon was and still is the shit. Why couldn't Fox/Marvel translate this to film??
Wolverine and Cable were my fave.
Great action sequence.
Great cartoon
Rarely they show this power from storm her just blasting bolts of lightning from her hands… I like that.
Also I like how they make it clear that gambit, cyclops and storm weren’t missing they were just trying to beat him back into a retreat
This show was so good
This was my childhood but as usual Jean faint after use 000.1% of her power Lmfao. Thank God she's literally a God now. White Phoenix.
30years still the golden age of teamups
Bishop:"Go home! The plague isn't cause by mutants!"
damn storm was a savage
Gambet was asleep in the aircraft 😆 🤣 😂
1:08 Even Cable wanted a view of Rogue's behind.
Love Cable and Bishop hope they are both in X-men Apocalypse
i don't want my favourite Marvel character to be portrayed in a movie... its bad enough what they did to the others (an odd version of Wolverine, and a terrible job with jean Grey) my #1, #2 and #3 respectively. Wolvie is just too mainstream now :( Cable's been my #1 for as long as i can remember!
though, ya can't really have Apoc without Cable though...
well i guess ya can... but still, not as good haha
twin33 Doubt they'd use Bishop after DoFP. He was one of those mutant of the movie sort of deals.
Not even close X men apocalypse is a prequel
CSC yh I know but when it comes to fighting Apocalypse Cable should be there swell but I saw the trailer and it looks like is going to be good.
Nope. The main character will be Jennifer Lawrence. Because apparently there's a high demand for Mystique among X-Men fans. Everyone knows she was a fan favorite.
Alternative title: Bishop's gun vs Cable's gun.
This shit lit
good ol' jean grey, the selected host for the phoenix force, yet seems to pass out every episode.
Some family reunion. Cyclops and Jean fighting their own son.
