Yeah man Josh Brolin killed it in DP2 but I hope they CGI him to be taller hahaha

Nothing, just Cable being cheeky.
@@carolyncolebeck6945 It means a wild or uncivilized person.
Deadpool: Does that make you Indonesian or Malysian? You have to be specific as to which part of that Southeast Asian island you hail from so we know what to put on your fake passport.
Cable: Neither. Brunei.
Deadpool: Oh, right. Can't believe I forgot about that country....
Knowing the whole time that he was the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey via Pryor while watching the cartoon made it even better
The fact that he attacks his own parents too 😂
That is when writers had to respect the source material and had one shot to make the story the best it could be.Even back then , gave me a good dose of somewhat realistic violence.
Never knew that you learn something new everyday
he even got jean grey power
Madelyne Pryor not jean grey. They look similar but they are two different people
"Time to reach out and touch someone" Took on the whole xmen team by himself and did well lol. What a guy!

He is Cable
Cable was always my favorite. Not many can go toe to toe with Apocalypse and survive! Cable is a badass with powers a lot of people don't even know about.

y, and i got to say modern graphics suck
Me 😊. He's looked like Punisher 😅 in appearance and personality
One of us!
Bishop came from 2055 and Cable from 3999 and the future was a warzone in both their times. Kind of depressing if you think it but the cartoon was really well done. Cable's future reminds me of a Megadeth album cover.

Cable was that dude, the realest one on the show. The way they captured him on this show....nailed it!
As a kid even, I knew this guy was more Alpha than even Wolverine. As the series goes on proves that. Nothing can hold a candle to this animated series. Actually excited for Xmen 97 next year

Damn this version of Cable was seriously bad ass!

Probably the best cartoon ever aired in the history of cartoons - seriously this show was of epic proportions during its time. Nothing compares!
The battles with Apocalypse and Nimrod
Gummie bears
Batman the animated series
@TiwazPagan Agreed. Apocalypse's epic, megalomaniacal rants about "purging the Earth of benighted humans" and being "the rocks of eternal shores" .....those alone strengthen its argument as the best cartoon ever.
Gummie Bears 😂

The best! One thing I loved was that Cable's backstory was still a mystery in the comics when they put him in the show.
Righty'o mate! He's got the Terminator vibes
5:23 my man has daddy issues
He doeant give a f about him, why should he?
"Time to reach out and touch someone" I love 90s Cable😂😂
He needs his own movie, THIS version…and not the version of him from Deathpool.
exactly even if its animation, but it would have to be in this style or close.
As kids, my brother and I always called that one particular rifle Cable's "Gambit gun"...still holds true today...lol😂
I noticed in the Slave Island and The Cure episodes they kept both of his arms organic. Did some digging and realized that much of Cable's actual identity in the comics was still a mystery for most of the early 90's. In fact we dont get confirmation that Cable is even Nathan Summers until issues 6 of his standalone comic in December of 1993. Slave Island and The Cure aired in February of '93, not counting the time it took for production and writing. Both episodes basically predated the confirmation that he was Cyclops' son, which is probably why he took the optic blast during 2:10 and was still affected (blood relative are immune to each other's powers).
Its cool to see how Cable's story in the animated series was being fleshed out as his comic lore was being developed!
Now that's useful information.
All this time, I'm just realizing Cable's gun is like Gambits powers.
Furthermore, no one owes guns in the 90s with bullets? 😅
Bishop and Cable aren't from the 90s though, they came there from the future.
@Renju366 FOH. Maverick. Weapon X characters. Humans from the 90s on the show. Blkbird. Look, I can go on.
& don't get me started with The Punisher on '94 Spiderman ..
@@shialabluff8038 Didn't see most of those characters use a gun on this video though. Also, it's been a long time since I've seen an entire episode of the show so you may be right.
@Renju366 Yea, I haven't watched since youth as well, other than clips lately. Just use to bother me as a kid. Teenage/ adult me, probably had a better understanding on the whys
Apparently not. When i was watching this as a kid, I always assumed it was set in the near-future (hence everyone using lasers, and mutants everywhere). But then one episode Beast i think confirmed it was "the late 20th Century".
Cable is my top five X-Men characters.
I hope Cable returns in X-Men '97, at least for the second season. Jean Grey is the only one who knew Cable really is, and with the appearance of a Jean Grey look-alike or clone, presumably Madelyn Pryor, I hope Jean will spill the beans that their baby boy is actually Cable, a.k.a. Nathaniel Summers.
He's infected as same Apocalypse's virus? Why don't make a Wolverine anti-virus injection?
@@marstrux7201 different virus, and like Beast said, there was no time.

"The name's Cable. Remember it."
😢😢😢😢
Not only do I love Cable’s gun, but I also love his small cube shaped multifunctional computer that he inserts into his cybernetic arm and has him teleport and time travel with. It’s like a Mother Box with a guiding AI similar to Jarvis, Friday, and Karen in the MCU.
in the comics he called it "the professor"
He was so annoyed when he thought he had to help Apocalypse to stop Bishop....."Nooooooooooo" lol
Cable has been one of my all time favorite characters since the 6th grade. He was very popular in the early 90s but he's under rated these days. And that goofy portrayal of him in Deadpool 2 didn’t help to do him any justice lol
Brolin could have brought some much more intensity to the character but the movie had to be "funny"
@@CoolHandCody696 Brolin looks nothing like Cable. He was miscast for the role. He was way too short for one thing...something that Deadpool even joked about in the film. And he was goofy and his motivations were WAY too small. In the comics, Cable traveled to the past to save the world from Apocalypse, not avenge his family
@@scinnyc In all honesty are any of the character well cast? Y’know I really love Cable’s leitmotiff in this show. It sounds exactly like something out of an 80s action movie, which is fitting given the basis of his character,
He feels like the main character of Final Fight 1989 done right
@@ninab.4540 What do you mean? Cody is already a well written character in his video game depiction.
Also I don’t think the two are comparable as one is meant to be an army man hero and the other is a street vigilante protagonist
Cable is the Real John Connor
The shit that makes me laugh the most is him
Hiding behind a literally bookshelf in a empty room
The moment he threw the virus on wolverine was the most self aware decision a writing staff has ever made
And yet sadly only Gambit gets credit for the "Remember It" line.
Yeah because Gambit left people alive. CABLE ending people
Cable's arm wasn't cybernetic in season 1, interesting. Either it's an animation error or the techno-organic virus hadn't progressed that far yet.
Its progressing
And then people get angry at '97 for being inconsistent with the 90s series when that was also inconsistent with itself xD
Cable not being a mutant nor having his left metal arm in his first appearance.
Angel not having ties with the X-Men in his first appearance, then later on getting retconed to being one of the first members.
And more xD

@@justmeok2 he is a time traveler
@@justmeok2He did that just to piss Einstein off
His origin hadn't been created yet when they made some of these episodes. Him being their son from the future was a bit of a retcon.
He's Cyclops and Madelyn Pryor/Goblin Queen's son.
Imagine if they end up doing Hope Summers and AvX in X-Men 97. That would be sick.
Seeing Deadpool 2 got me more interested in Cable, after watching this I would love for them to make a futuristic movie or series about Cable & now that the MCU has the X Men officially they can make this happen
Wonder if X-Man will show up in 97 in some future season. Then both versions of Cable will have been in the show.
Christooher, Scott, Alex, Gabriel, Rachel, Madeline. This man has greatness in his DNA.
X-Men 97 crazy man I'm going to watch the whole series again. My favorite episodes episode 8. And 6. wolverine loose finally

Wolverine Rogue and Cable were my favorites of the this series. by age 10 I had moved way from the silliness of childhood favorites like He-man and Superfriends. Thankfully....Batman and Xmen TAS started a whole new era for Marvel and DC animation. 80s kids were truly blessed😂😂😂
In a way, now we can understand why Cable was in Genosha in X-MEN: TAS in the 1st place. He was trying to stop the root of the Genoshan Massacre by going after the leader and Dr. Adler to change what might come in the future (possible age of apocalypse storyline) in X-men ‘97.
This can't be because Cable has both human arms in his first appearance in The original series,When we see from onwards to x men 97 he has a metal arm
I could’ve sworn the metal arm was supposed to be the techno-organic virus in the comics. And that the reason he doesn’t seem like such a powerful mutant is because he is constantly using his powers to fight the virus and keep his body together.
@@SupportGamin2024 I think it's an animation mistake if anything.
Is it me or is there some incredible foreshadowing in the first series clips? I think Cable's left arm shows early signs of the techno organic virus with the green bits but no metal yet!!! Only pays off now with X-men 97.
27 years after we got a payoff. DAMN.
Cable was a cool character in X:TAS and I had NO idea he was a mutant OR a telepath lol, they kinda write that out of his character
