I didn't know you had a channel, it was awesome meet y'all over the weekend at The Garden Of Eders (Grant n Shelby's) excited to watch some videos now I've found ya.👍🏼👍🏼
I have a 300 gallon acro reef tank. Now im watching these freshwater tanks and i am really wanting to set one up now..lol. their are so many freshwater fish that look like some of the fish i have in my 300 gallon. ❤
Thanks, Harlan! It's always interesting getting a bit more background on Dean. He's really an interesting guy. If you don't mind my two cents - the plant you were referring to as a chain sword at about 5:30, I'm thinking it's Sagittaria subulata. Not certain, but just a thought. I've got a tankful of about 30 or 35 (what did Dean call them?) neon orange swordtails. You're are absolutely right. They are seriously underrated. Mine have stopped spawning though. Maybe too crowded. Maybe the time of year? Not a clue. Anyway, pass along ot Dean my thanks for sharing with you and with you and Nick in Nick's video. If your still here in the States, have a fantastic time. Cheers, Mate! ~Ron
Wow, I think I got it right! The rainbows are there in the plecos tank to help with selection of the most smart and healthy of pleco springs... The health of the herd depends on predators!
Amazing office....I have a 75g in my office along with a soon to be built rack for a couple 60 breeders....What sand was used in both the angel tank & the tank with the red rasboras? They looked different and wondering what they are. I'm still trying to determine what color I want to use when my rack is completed.
Dean is a Master breeder and master marketer! Always has subliminal product placement. I ordered a bag of Bug Buffet a few days ago to try out, if my fish like it I'll be sure to order more.
I can't seem to keep crypts alive either... I can grow anything and everything else in my tanks and make more money from my plants than my fish...! Easy green and root tabs are the only fertilizers that I use... Crypts are my cryptonite...!!! Thanks for sharing... Keep up your awesomeness and go enjoy some nature today...! Also, don't forget to compliment someone today... it just may change they're day for the better...!
Great video! I wonder how strong his floors are; those 75g double racks are A LOT of weight in a small space. I'm jealous as I want to do the same thing (I'm part of his same club), but am terrified of dealing with the weight.
The so called ‘runt’ swordtail is actually a normal thing with swords these develop earlier than other males in the brood. They are in fact called the strong males which produce more males when mated with females than their later maturing siblings. These larger males are termed the ‘weak’ males which mature later and when mated to females produce more females in their offspring.
Dean has the cleanest water and aquaria I have ever been to and I have visited 100's of fish rooms.
Another great video, just like 2 guys sitting in front of a fire having a chat about their common interests. Dean really is an affable man.
I see Dean, I click LIKE!

Always love to get a peek into Dean's fish room & office!

"it's not a fish room; it's an office," said every fish keeper ever. ;)
Guilty. 😂
