    I counted 178 in the rectangular tub first time, then I counted 212 in the pic of the round tub. Big difference!
    In the round tub pic they were closer together but were easier to count in the rectangle box. I would always take middle and say 195 if I would get two different counts. Or don’t count them until I get them the size of the larger ones.
    Great video guys! Good luck with this heater!

    Dean there are industrial strength rollers with locks. Huge heavy things roll on these. I bet you could make something to allow you to lower the water a bit so it doesn't slosh and roll the whole rack out and back again.

    The reason company’s say don’t bring it back to where you bought it is usually a good thing. It means they would rather have their own customer service handle it because they know Home Depot is trash and will accept a return because they sold them the wrong fittings etc. not. Alot of companies do this at big box stores.

  • @frostfire827
    @frostfire827 3 года назад +1

    This is quite a bit late, but there are heavy duty retractable castors that normally store up to rest on the normal legs of the rack, and you can press it down to engage it to move a heavy rack like this.

    Avoid a mouthful of water when you siphon by simply emerging the whole hose in the tank so it fills with water. Hold your thumb over one end and lift out of the tank, keeping the other end under water. Then you can lift your thumb off to release the water into your receptacle. Also, I would have that rack on castors so you could unhook it from the wall, drop the water level by 20% and just wheel it away. Great video though, thanks.

    On a positive note, Rheem is a way better brand than Whirlpool. Good choice. Don't forget if you want to get the full 10 - 12 year life expectancy of a water heater (or more) make sure to do your annual water heater flush. On a sidenote, you guys prob want to put a 2 gallon expansion tank on the top to help prevent thermal expansion to protect the pipes and fixtures.
    Love your stuff guys! And keep up the great work.

    siphon tip: No need to suck on the hose. Submerge the hose in the tank. Put your thumb over the end so it doesn't drain. Bring that end to the bucket below the tank level. Release your thumb. Gravity starts the siphon for you.
    I do that for my frog tank because that water probably has enough bacteria in the drainage layer to kill me.
