- A Florida man took on a large alligator that was disturbing the peace in a downtown Jacksonville neighborhood over the weekend and the crazy encounter was all caught on camera! Mike Dragich had no tools on him - just his bare hands - when he went up against the 8-foot gator seen in the middle of the road, the video shows. Dragich didn't even have shoes on.

A friend came down from Indiana and was just amazed that we had police stop traffic for a trapper to come get a gator blocking the highway. He had never seen anything like it.

To protect the gator.
Can't have gators running out in the street and getting hit by cars. It would have been nicer if he didn't pin the gator on the hot asphalt, but at least it wasn't mid summer heat.
