    Astronaut Alan Shepard also was almost disqualified from space travel due to a ear problem. He had inner ear issues that caused him to have a bad sense of balance. It was corrected with surgery and he went on to be the first American to go to space and the oldest person to walk on the Moon. Our astronauts are just the coolest :) Overcoming dissabilites and doing the impossible. Leland Melvin is an American hero.

    Anyone who strapped in atop the STS deserves incredible respect.
    To risk it all against the whims of chance, well, Kipling was nearly there - not just 'you'll be a man', you'll exemplify what it means to be human. Thank you!

    If only NASA had the same budget and support as the US military. Just think of what we could do - where we could be!

    This man blew out his knee showing off for the owner during a practice play. From what I remember I believe he was a future Dallas Cowboy.

    This is the potential of black people if their fathers stick around

    • @NOTTODAY0009
      @NOTTODAY0009 10 лет назад +2

      There are black people that did fine without a father you stereotypical turd. Can you say the same for Whites, Asians, and Mexicans? No, because having both parents in your life doesn't guarantee you'll do fine in life.

    • @NNTorious
      @NNTorious 10 лет назад +1

      VTREX2010 Im not stereotyping fool I am black and I know whats impact having a father can make. If you knew anything about black people you would know most of there problems stem from having no father.

      Norris Thomas awwwwwwwwwww

  • @MrLou2serious
    @MrLou2serious 10 лет назад

    To Norris I say this is the potential we have without being subject to poverty and poor education throughout the development stages of our lives. A father can be there but if the environment is based on racism and oppression the chances are slim and death at an early age is highly likely.
