You explained this hat very well. An educator does not talk too much while demonstrating. You were very detailed. Thank you! I have been crocheting for one month and am a natural.

Have to tell you how much I love this video! I've been crocheting since I was 8 years old, nearly 30 years, and I still appreciate the detailed info you give (no you do not talk too much!). I crochet hats for charity and although I usually prefer to crochet hats in the round, this is hands down my fave hat pattern. Stretchy, comfy, fashionable, and easily adjusted to create different sizes and styles. Thank you!

This is wonderful. I'm your fan. I love the practical suggestions, like making the end stitch go through both loops for strength. I have used this rib for mittens, and the little pitch of the ribbed rows seems to trap a bit of air pocket and keep the hands or head warmer.

I made this using a DC with 3.5 oz Alpaca with 120 yards on the skein and it was just right (12.25 inches long) leaving plenty to sew closed. But, I used a different color to make a fold up brim. I'm dyslexic so videos are the only way I've been able to learn out to crochet without total frustration or just giving it up. Thanks for your video, you're very easy to follow.
