I just made this for my 3 year old and we are all SO excited!!! neon pink and a creamy whitish color. She is in love! Thank you for making this so easy! I have made 3 of your beanies in under 3 days now. Including one for our third daughter due soon!
The leader of my Prayer Shawl group has recently found out she has breast cancer and will start chemo treatments soon. She hinted that she wants chemo hats. I've been searching for cute hats that could serve her well and I found your Bow-Licious Hat. I LOVE IT! Thank you so much for this pattern and your tutorial. You're very easy to understand and follow. Again, thank you.
Ms. Bobwilson, I love your lessons! Ill try uploading a pic of the floppy rasta hat that I made. Will you do a lesson on how to make a stretchy edge? I want the last decreased stitch to have a little stretch in it so I don't have to fuss with elastic string. Any ideas???
Very beautiful, but I want to learn to crochet sweaters and dresses with wonderful decorations such a business ....Please download these sections, and thank you very much
I made this hat today and it turned out to be so cute. I made it for my sister's grand daughter and cant wait for her to wear it.. Your video was just awesome and so easy to follow and I have saved a lot of your videos to make more things. Thanks so much. I am currently making more I just love this hat. I am also going to crochet that Easter Hat for my great grand daughters.. Its just simply adorable..
hello Terry, I am so happy you like my hat. I bet your sister's granddaughter loves her hat and that your great-granddaughters will love their bunny ears.
Thank you so much...this pattern is absolutely amazing. I crochet for charity and my hat turned out beautifully on the 1st try. You are amazing teacher and so wonderfully talented. Thank you again for sharing. I hope this make someone in need very happy.
I love this. Just made one for a friend of mine that is going through chemo. I made it in a sparkle black with a white bow. I hope she loves it as much as I do.
As a beginner to crochet, your videos have really helped me not only to make this cute hat and the toddler poncho, but having stitched with you, I was able to make a doll with just a pattern ,(no video) as well as granny squares (after making a couple ponchos) because I understood how to increase/decrease and do the corners, etc. With regard to your actual videos, your camera angels and natural gifted teaching style are really very well done. The bonus is your accent! So, I just wanted to say "thank you." (BTW, your poncho video does not explain how to make the pom poms for the tie. I found it elsewhere, but did find it odd you just kind of skipped that on the poncho video.)
I like it, making one today since is snowing and I have some more errands to do tomorrow and I can show it off! I LOVE the formula for the sizing of the hats it is so cool measure across then multiply by 3.142, make us see we do have to use MATH in all we do, this formula helps so much, still is so cool Thank You Thank You, Happy crochet!
I just finished this hat. Super easy!! I chose country blue and white. I was originally making it for one of our toddlers at church, but it turned out a bit bigger than I expected....soooooo....on to the toddler version LOL. I'm actually thinking of making this in pink with a darker pink ribbon to honor Breast Cancer Awareness...I'll post a photo when I get it done to see what you think :)
You are awesome!! I've been subscribed to you for several months now and because of it, have been hooked back on crocheting again! I'm learning so much by watching you. Thank you! :D

Hi Clare! I've done it again! I created something beautiful from your instructional videos on youtube! MY FIRST HAT!!! I made it for my Niece. I did a few things differently I thought I'd share. I did the band with a buttonhole ring (chain 5, slip stitch into a loop, HDC 3 inside the loop and then HDC 3 across, chain one and HDC 3, and so on) until I got the length of the band. I found it easier than the other. I hid the button under the bow, and I'm going to crochet several colors of bands and bows so she can interchange them. I'll probably do another hat in white and do the same thing. I didn't do a huge bow so it's laying down nicely. I'm just so tickled with myself! I really enjoy your videos. They are so easy to follow, even for a beginner. One thing I'd definitely tell other viewers is, once you're done increasing COUNT YOUR STITCHES!! It will keep the frogging down to a minimum. I counted backwards from my last stitch before I joined the ends of the row. If I had too many, I knew I had accidently added an increase, too few meant I skipped a stitch. It also helped me to know where my first stitch was so I knew where to start the next row. Thank you for your awesomeness!
These are so cute. My daughter goes for a check up every 6 months to make sure everything is okay and the tumors haven't come back in her leg & I started making hats & blankets to brighten there day. I am making them in different colors cause different colors represent different kind of cancers.
If I am making the beanie with the almost invisible seam, will I still "ignore" the chain 4 that I do at the beginning of the treble-stitch row when I come around and join?
really nice hat clare :) it is very similar to a bag I designed at Christmas called 'little lady handbag'. You can see this bag at crochet cricket on wordpress. The hat and the bag would be really cute together especially for little girls.
Great tutorial! I am already almost done with my 2nd hat. Did one hat mainly sc, and the other mainly hdc. (I love the "neatness" of hdc too). I think both will be great!
Hello Miss. Thank you for your teaching and your videos. I have done my beanie already. It is so cute. I would like to ask you. Where did you buy all your hook because they are very nice?
hi, thank you fro watching my videos. Some of my hooks I buy from the retailers of the hooks. Some were given to me. Most of the hooks I use like the Tulips and Clovers can be found on amazon as well as other online retailers
Hello. I am very like your pattern. Could you let me know how I can make the beanie first. I made it four times but it look not nice. Do you know I took it off and tried to make again. I still feel unhappy with my beanie.
