Very cool concept but i feel those filters would not be enough.
Could you provide the url link for the respirator mask's 3D print files? I have been unable to to find these files on PRUSA Printer's website. I have developed 2 non-contact techniques for viral decontamination. I plan on making the masks with HIPS which also should be autoclavable (3rd technique).
You can buy a Furnace Filter that is the same as an N95 Mask for $25 USD that can be used for several hundred of your masks. Great job!!!
Air filters may contain Fiberglass! Do not use fiberglass based materials for breathing devices.

Uh... I think you'll want to make or print some strain relief for your heated bed socket/ cable. Over time it's going to wear out and give u a headache when u get heater or mintemp errors.
Would that cotton filter actually work at preventing covid? Or is it more like...it's at least something not nothing kind of thing?
some of the discussions about masks i have heard is that they might not protect too much but if you are infected and wear it its less likely you will spread it. but i have no real idea :)

I want some yet the plastic shield alway around where no air or chemicals can get no where on the skin period.
Who makes the this printer I dont want my money going to countires that had issues with it.
Looks like the mask is only for those who do not wear glasses. Would it be better to use softer materials for the cup that fit the face. Also need to reduce the shape so that there is space for glasses on the nose. As to the sterilisation method there should be in all hospitals chambers for sterilization using EO (Ethylene Oxide) gas. But the material used must be able to withstand higher temperatures such as 100 degrees Celsius and doesn't deform.
Other methods of cleaning is soap and water then wipe with alcohol should suffice.
On the topic of filter perhaps non woven polyester or spun bond can be used with cotton wool. I cannot say what is best. More research needs to be done on this.

Jan no because then you are just breathing all the air. The filters help separate the air to prevent what’s bad from coming in.

you need a oneway exhale valve for the CO2 otherwise it can kill you if you use it under a longer period of time. It will slowly build up
Also corona is like 100-200 microns and can get through the layer by layer built up mask. 3d printed mask require to get coated externally by some type of seal.
It is good you are concerned, but that is not true. CO2 will not build up in a mask to any appreciable level. Surgeons wear masks for many hours without any effects like you are concerned about. Runners wear masks and run miles and miles without injury. Look around, and you will see this is misinformation you are repeating.
