hey im currently doing this living in Austin tx (Travis county, unfortunately). i was freaking out because i hadn't realized all the facemasks have been bought out! im going to combine this with a face visor for ULTIMATE PROTECTION! . thanks again for taking the time to do this
I used hot glue gun to fuse chin section and ran bead on outside. Used three layers of foam weatherstrip tape with dots of superglue to hold on and hold layers together and it seals well. Nurses and Doctor have tried out and like it.
Bill Mekker awesome. Glad to hear your finding ways to improve the seal! I also recommend printing at 23% infill instead of 20 for more strength although slightly tougher to mold.
Could you please provide another link for the mask, because the link that in the description section is down, thank you for the best and high quality video on the RUclips
Good video tho you might have to lose the beard for a proper seal. About the gaps wouldnt be easier to use hot glue rather than solder pla filament? And is the foam on the nose and chin necessary? Because its hard to disinfect properly. BTW those filters don't look safe, the black cloth doesn't covers the entire breathing hole.
Hey Ryan. Best thing I can tell you is to form the mask as close as possible to your face. The foam itself isn’t allowing the air to get through it’s the gap from your face to the foam. If there is a specific spot that is causing trouble I suggest applying a heat gun to that spot alone and adjusting. Make sure your elastic is tight enough. I hope that is helpful. Best, Paul
@@3dwrld3 Thanks for the tip. I think I'm going to do without the foam it feels more secure, airtight, and comfortable to be honest. But I guess there's different ways.
Unfortunately I'm so broke I can't even get supplies to make a mask out of recyclables. 😭 I'm sick of being so broke I can't even feed my family let alone protect them
@@sniperpronerfmods9811 easier said than done I lost clients it's not like others appear. I work in an industry that clients are close to the end of life. I'll say one thing, one of the clients I lost was not to death, he had to move out of the area he got cancer, his treatment worked but he will not be moving back to this area. I'm just glad he lived. Thank God for that.

Thanks for watching, the point of the video is to show how to apply this mask since most videos skip that part. Of course proper studies have not been done regarding it's effectiveness but we do believe it is better than nothing. Stay safe.
When you have nothing, anything beats that! My daughter works in a clinic and had one tested for leakage and it was as good as a store bought. Using merf 13 filter cut from furnace filter over cotton round works well.
this will not work . you have a lot of unsealed places around the mask. it is hard to achieve perfect airtide mask with 3D printed stuff. but this is not good design. no offense. i just want to tell the truth.

Illium of course and stay safe!
u know u can buy a cheap 3d pen for filling holes and welding plastic
Great video Paul! Glad to see you are getting a good amount of views for your quality content!
Nothing better than cashing in on public hysteria
Great video ! Thanks for the helpful information.

What kind of 3d printer should I buy?

This is useful and relevant. Need mine!
Amani Mutua thank you and got you!
The idea has the right to life, although it raises some doubts. There is no desire to wear a hot mask on your face. Too difficult to glue.
Where can you download the file for printing? is it free? Thanks!
It's in the video description
This is a good video very informative but it is easier to use a 3d pen on the joint's first then smooth it down with your soldering iron. 👍
You are right! Everyone has a 3D pen! I wonder why he didn't use it.
hey is it use pla fillament sir?
Azrin Nasir Yes, I am using PLA. The best filament to use for masks is from Copper 3D but it is out of stock. Best, Paul
Great job!!!
Very good, thanks
So I've noticed the foam tape allows air to escape through sides so some air isn't going through filter. Did I do it wrong?

It's the most risky mask. At this time, the developer of this mask don't recommend it.
These look cool but would I trust them to save LIVES NOT IN HELL
Uh... shave?
Hi

You should really look in to getting a 3d pen
Do some research befor hand👌🏻
