Eliminate as many variables as possible before you squeeze the trigger A level on your rifle is a must, this one works for me Not sponsored by anyone. www.overmatchc... @kevin.p.owens
This thing is great. I use the mechanical Vortex and my non-dominant (non-scope) eye to see it in the peripheral. This could definitely be seen with much less effort.
Man, I just need to buckle up and do a long range class. That just looks therapeutic and fun. But a technical question from someone who doesn't know a thing about your skillset. Why does the gun need to be level? My brain is telling me the bullet and bore are round and it shouldn't matter... obviously it matters or you would not have mentioned it. Mind getting into the weeds a bit on the science of it (if not just briefly)? If you have mentioned it before... apologies.
It doesn’t matter to the bore itself, but it will change the position of the bore relative to the scope, and the scope is what you’re using to align the bore. This can make you the shooter basically aim the bore in a slightly different path. Does that make sense?
Any bit of cant when shooting long range, especially when holding for wind throws your shots high or low. new shooters will often report insane wind calls (like 2 mills at 600 yards in 7mph wind, which is impossible) and alot of times its due to cant. A level is one of the most important things and something like the send it level and the Brandt ACI linked above will ensure every shot is level and your head doesnt have to come out of scope. It becomes second nature. Every single LR gun I have have both of it now. Its THAT good.
Really cant beat the Sendits. I put off switching over to it for YEARS as i purely philosophically just fought the idea of adding more stuff with batteries, but man are they worth it. Its nice to have the one build into the spuhr as backup, but have never had to use it in probably about 3 years now of using the sendit. Definitely worth getting. Only other person ive seen with the Sgt of Arms rail, at least on the youtubes. Not sure why they arent more popular, its very nicely done. The Geissele MK16 or whatever it is looks good, but man i looked for one for legitimately a couple of years and never found one in stock. But its also +~$150, and i do prefer the Aero Enhanced upper mounting system.

Kevin, we need back in ‘Dundalk’ , things are getting ‘BAD’ !!!
Would you consider doing a build overview on this sargent of arms/ballostic advantage ar308? Has it been up to your expectations?

@@nvlaser9084nice, thx
The reticle needs to be level so your elevation adjustments are truly up and not canted to the bore.
Bought a picatinny bubble level from ebay, attaches to the scope rail, works like a charm.
Thanks for the info.
