Superb Job! It is so relaxing in your videos: no words, just the sound of the tools and materials at work, pure joy! Btw nice S&S Helle knife and what a beauty blade.
See this channel is interesting because this guy reuses everything whereas other channels won’t even bother with the washers and handles sometimes and will just make new ones that’s pretty cool

Excellent restoration. Looks like a great shop knife. I think it would have looked a little better if you had replaced the old brass washer with a new, hand crafted one. But that decision belongs to you. Thanks for the video
Another good one, there's a product called Zam, it's a buffing compound you put on a cotton wheel it will give you a superb shine on metal. Comes in stick form.
Much appreciated Latessa 😊 7 days will pass quite fast 😄👍, I will try to be more active with RUclips posts than 😁, that will soften period between next upload... Let me know what you think about that!
When I can, I do cleaning with a small file, but the thing that I always do is to blow out the lose dirt and rust. Polishing inside, no I don't do that...
FFD Restorations thanks for the explanation. I have a little rust showing at the base of my mora and handle cap suggestions to treat/remove that are not drastic welcome
Sorry, my English is not very good. Please tell me where I can find the same vice as yours? By the way, your work is just great. Manual work with a minimum of tools is amazing.
No, it is not a filler. It serves for refreshing and protecting the leather. Also for polishing. It is a Norwegian product, not sure it is sold worldwide...
Watching all of your older videos, and I'm really impressed by how far you've come. Awesome work Boris!!!
Much appreciated my friend! Practice and repetition makes all the difference. It is almost a 6 year mark! Thanks for noticing! Cheers

Thanks Milan, I probably should do that! Thank you so much for the feedback, I appreciate that 👍
In restoration, replacement is the last resort. It must be avoided to the last.
Another good one, there's a product called Zam, it's a buffing compound you put on a cotton wheel it will give you a superb shine on metal. Comes in stick form.
Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it!
Buena restauracion 👍

Small learning point do you ever clean/polish inside the old wooden handles? And if so how, as I’ve seen you clean inside the caps at the blade base.
It needs to be sanded done, most likely polished and protected...
FFD Restorations thanks , should I worry about the possible rust behind the cap.
@@rafiquegardee3546 It should be removed if is any rust under the cap (bolster), most likely there is rust...
Hi Super Video....wo findest du immer diese alten Messer...ich finde nie welche
Dankeschön! Auf einer lokalen Website für Anzeigen 😉
Man i love these videos, curious as to how you find these knives
Thank you 😊👍
Well it is not easy, but I buy often knives when they are for sale on local website for ads...
as a knife collector since i was a kid
It real breaks my heart to see the see good knives in bad shape
🥺
Sorry, my English is not very good. Please tell me where I can find the same vice as yours?
By the way, your work is just great. Manual work with a minimum of tools is amazing.
Hey Saleh!
Same as mine I am not sure, but I have left links in the video description similar to mine vise 👍
So you can check it out!

Oh! Many thanks! My fault, I didn't read the description to the end.
No worries ☺️👍
You are welcome!
Nice job👍🏻 but where do you find all Those knives😅
Thanks Mikkel
On a local website for ads...
Where Do you find all your objects to restore?
Love your work please continue like this!
Mostly from people who sells them on local Norwegian website for ads.
Thanks you very much Zerbie for the support 👍
Great job! Love that you do everything by hand! What did you use on that sheath because im trying to restore one right now!.
Thanks. I used a bio paste for leather shoes. It refreshes the leather and protects...
@@FFD_Restorations
I couldnt find that is leather filler the same?
No, it is not a filler. It serves for refreshing and protecting the leather. Also for polishing. It is a Norwegian product, not sure it is sold worldwide...

👍
Thanks, much appreciated 😊👍
Mora classic №1
😃👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
😊👍
Knive the same than an MORA classic 2 ??
They producing similar models for a quite some time... so no doubt that they all look similar 😊
Thanks for watching Jean-Marie
👍👍👍❤👌
😀👍
How does every knife you restore have that little circular clip on the end of it on the tang? So convenient lol
Hehe, that is typical for Scandinavian knives 😊👍
Thanks for watching!

completely ruined. blade was perfect at 3:47
that patina that would've taken years to build up, erased.... so sad
👍
