Great video buddy. Cant wait to see the build come together with all them goodies inside. About to build my small setup like your portable one. Your Spreadsheet was very helpful :-) Thankyou.
Awesome! Glad it helps! Definitely look into cooling.. I added a 1ru fan to the rack now because things were cooking in there in place of the power strip
Nice! Some new things to look into for the #future 👍 I've seen those Dante AVIO devices on Amazon, was thinking of using them for some studio speakers, one day I'll have to give them a try!
@@RyanSomerfield Was thinking of mounting up the speakers in the corner of the room kinda out of reach, and so connecting them to an Dante AVIO XLR out, running a Dante server(?) on a network connected Mac Mini M1, and then being able to send audio from other devices on the network to the speakers... I hope that's how it works anyway... 😅
@@AnotherCameraChannel hmm kind of.. you’re probably better off just running analog audio over the Ethernet cable, that or AirPlay devices or something? The other thing too is the drivers for Dante for m1 is not quite ready yet.. although Dante via might work? Can’t remember. It may work though as you’re saying, it’s just potentially expensive way of doing it..?
should probably explain better... dante is an audio transport protocol, much like a videoassist, you pipe audio from place to place, you can go from 1 to many also so what youre saying would work (so long as theres software for mac M1, not sure if its there yet..)
Great video, thank for posting, Curious what you like to embed those audio channels into the SDI feed. I see an AJA device for 8 channels AES to SDI. Would be great if somebody made a Dante-based SDI embedder.
Planning on using the audio to sdi 4K converter by Blackmagic, there are Dante embedded and such but very little in 4K sadly… also those are stupid expensive :)
The quad link hack is BRILLIANT 👏🏻
Excited to see this come together!
Thanks Doug! Likewise! Lots of work ahead :)
Thanks for the video. I’d love to see a more in-depth video on the green-go system, especially the wireless part.
Not a bad idea, might look into that
And glad you enjoyed the video! :) thanks for watching
Great insight. Can’t wait to see this build completed. 👍👍
Great video! Thank you!

They are pretty cool! Are you wanting them to send audio from a computer to speakers? Or from a Dante system to a set of speakers?

@@RyanSomerfield ah yes the website says early 2022 for Mac M1, guess I'll hold off for a while
Thanks Ryan!
