I don’t feel the need for a vibe for the kinds of things I play, but if I ever needed one the vibe machine would be my first choice. They’ve always sounded great!
Understood (about the no need). I particularly love the Trower/Hendrix thing. I bought a vibe pedal years ago. The BBE Soul Vibe. It's a great vibe pedal and new retail is less than half of what this costs.

In a band l used to play with we called it a BUCKY...
To get the sounds you are getting it is a combination of the pedal and the way you are playing.

Kevin O'Brien - Chewy is the perfect description. I closed my eyes and i could totally picture Hendrix or Eddie Hazel playing what R.J. did in the intro.

Are you running a drive in front of this or does it have that saturation built in?
It doesn’t have that built in.
Not even the higher end ones, with the preamps in them, get that saturated without the amp or a dirt pedal.
@@CorbCorbin EHX Good Vibes has some but I didn't find that it interfaced well with ODs or fuzz. The TC Vibraclone is a little different than a Univibe but it hits the spot for me with it's built in drive.
R.J. can you tell me the difference between the V-2 and the V-1 Vibe Machine, besides the color the the previous pedals ?
The version 2 has trim pots at the side and the modulation was changed a lot of players prefer v1. However version 3 has been really started with going back to the bread board and starting again the modulated signal is a lot better ,and maybe version 3 is best but maybe people will stick with v1.

Step 1. Uncase the Gibson. Step 2. Demonstrate that the pedal works with a Gibson. Step 3. Quickly put the Gibson back in it's case. Step 4. Grab your Strat!
I think I prefer the sound of V2. Great playing though!
Yea. I can appreciate the cleaner sound of the v3 but the whole reason I use a vibe is for that chewy grit the v2 nails. If I wanted cleaner modulation I'd just use a chorus
My jaw dropped when I saw there was a V3, but as I listen to it I realized I'm going to stick with my V2. I think I prefer the midrange character of the V2, the new one doesn't sound as syrupy to me.
This one still sounds great…. But the v2 doesn’t sound as thin to me.

Not in person, not even close. It’s as warm and organic as you can imagine- I’ve had it for 2 weeks- it’s truly awesome.
