Thanks so much! I didn't realise these wonderful gadgets existed, but I've ordered one to try. I've always made my own smaller 925 Sterling Silver ones quite nicely by putting permanent marks on my round nose pliers .. but this would certainly be faster. I always smelt any waste into half round wire for wrapping so the little snip of waste isn't a problem.

I like the idea however I am that type of guy who likes to use stuff he has improvising if you will I think this same idea can be achieved with a peg board the only problem I see is that nice oval shape it's a thing that can be hard on a peg board not very critical pretty sure the creativity of an individual can achieve making a super peg out of some sort of hard material only a tiny obstacle that there emagination desires only an opinion I do like the idea and trying to throw another out another out in to the crafting arena
    Thank you for sharing

You're totally right, for jigs like this it's often possible to whip something up in a DIY fashion. We do a lot of DIY work here, but we've noticed a lot of folks love having ready made tools as well so we try to carry as many things like this as we can and do videos about them to let people know they exist. Thanks for your sharing your idea for a homemade solution!

I have this jig. The instruction pamphlet photos are terrible (not enough contrast). Also, you can see in the video there are sharp edges on the large loops. These transfer to the wire. Almost easier to make them by hand. Thank you for the video.

Looks terrible after you hammered it. You need a Nylon hammer
