    This is indeed an amazing way to achieve almost unachievable, thinking in English. We even don't suspect how many words we still don't familiar with simply because they jump into our heads so quickly in the native language that we don't pay attention. For me, it was a substantially difficult task. Maybe if I would do it frequently, with time it will become easier.

  • @ntd252

    Awesome. We need more authentic training materials than "how" videos which are already great. Non-native speakers will still be struggling to find the word in English when trying to name of a lot of objects around them, so real training videos will definitely help to ease that process.

    hey Rachel,just a slight correction at 8:44,I think that's speedometer,not odometer. An odometer is a device for measuring the distance traveled by a vehicle and speedometer is a gauge that measures and displays the instantaneous speed of a vehicle.

      @rachelsenglish  Год назад

      Thanks for sharing!

    • @rachelsenglish

      The "speedometer" is the circle on the left. The arrow is pointing to the circle on the right, which is the tachometer. That's the instrument used to measure the working speed of an engine in RPMs (revolutions per minute), usually in the thousands when your car is being driven.

    I remember that you have a video where you explain why some dictionaries show commas within the IPA of some words and you say that it is because they are showing the stress through those commas so I would like to know which video it is to watch it again because I want to know how I can understand the stress of words by looking at the IPA and I think that you were using the Cambridge English dictionary to show that because that's one that has those commas. Would you or Rachel's if you get to see this comment tell me which video it is?
