THE MIND DEVELOPS THOUGHTS IN AN INTRINSIC SYSTEM OF IMAGE-BASED IDEAS.

Thanks a lot for the video, I do appreciate the video and you as well.
I didn't actually think about thinking in English til I had a huge vocabulary. After that I wanted to speak and think without any translation.
I watched a few videos about how to start thinking in English, but I couldn't even emmagin how confused I was after them.
Now after your video I know what tip suits me, this is a tip of answering questions. This suits me because I don't have time to translate instead I do start thinking in English.
I'm extremely grateful to the video and you.
Thanks to you I know how to think in this language now.

I would do this trying to learn spanish. Everyday I would get in my car and in english, say "I am in my carro and going to my trabajo" (job) and i would surround a few spanish words with english words to keep it in context. Once at work I would practice saying the time at half passed the hour, (cinco y media, 5:30) A customer at work had asked me what time we closed and without thinking I just said, cinco y media because that is how you say it. (unfortunately he didnt speak spanish) i never forgot words that way. Getting used to sentence structure in spanish is something else though. That is where I fear practicing wrong and learning it the wrong way.

Thinking is a very important part of
    spoken English because whatever
you can think, you can speak. So
make a habit to think in English.
    Everything takes time. In the
beginning it will be difficult but
    when you will practice and
practice it will be part of your
memory and once it becomes your
    habit them English will come
    naturally from your mouth.

    Hello !
Speaking another language is not only knowing the vocabulary, the spelling and the grammar. In order to speak properly you have to learn how to produce sounds that don't exist in your own language. You have to listen to the language and listen to yourself. I speak French, English, American, Dutch, Flemish and basic German with proper prononciation.
    Phil, Belgium. Peace.

The best way to learn "quickly" is to put in time every day working on your accent. Really dedicate time to practicing your spoken English with focus and consistency. That is the key! You are basically working on learning new movements for very small muscles in your face - this is not something that can be rushed. The time it takes will vary for each student. But the key is spending focused time everyday!

We DON'T think in a language. Thought is the material that will be transformed in any language you speak, NOT the language itself. When a child who hasn't learned how to speak yet asks you for something by using gesture, try giving them something she doesn't want and they will promptly refuse. They ARE THINKING about what they WANT but they don't know the word for it; the language isn't in their mind yet, but the THOUGHTS ARE. Later she will learn to express it in how many languages they are exposed to. But meanwhile her mind will always be full of thoughts, not words. THINK about that!

Hi Rachel "Thank you for the opportunity to review." Does this sentence sound right? I feel like grammatically it is not correct but everyone at work uses it. Thank you

    • @rachelsenglish

It seems incomplete to me - I feel like something is missing: "Thank you for the opportunity to review...your case" or "...your work".

    Dear Rachel !
Could you help me explain the pronunciation of words with GE in the end such as large, orange, frige. I know how to say them but my question is : Can we pronounce them with " Stop GE " in the end ? I hope you understand what I mean

Hi! Not really - you'll always hear a little bit of the [ʤ] sound here - even if it's super weak. :)
