I proudly present "Mr Buddy: The Feature Film" Haha but seriously, hope you guys like the full video! Took a lot of time and effort to put the whole thing together (I think I might be dead right now tbh), so I hope it pays off and gives you guys a look at what Italy could be like as a region! --send me baehives on twitter to help me regain energy-- Time stamps are below! (Time Stamps) Towns/Locations - 7:25 New Pokemon - 45:40 Story and Characters - 1:03:33
You could possibly do a alaska region, it could be completely different to any of your other videos, you could have an evil team based on animals like the leader could be based on a bear but they would all be hunters so the admins could have elk horns ect. Also the gyms could be a grass type lumberjack gym or possibly a ice type ski resort I think alaska could be a good place to do, you could have starters based on a bison or a elk
I don't know if I'm the first one to suggest this. But I think a pokemon region centered in Egypt would be pretty cool. In this video you already brought up that pharaohs had an influence in your Buddyverse (love that name) and I think if you did make a region based in Egypt you could really explore the origin of the gem. Even a regional variant of Lucario, Cofagrigus, and Meoth (or some other catlike pokemon) would be awesome. You can even have an evil team based on the pharaohs of old, enslaving 'lower class' people for their own goals. Love your vids, and can't wait for the next one
@@shadowwwq I know is a different country, you make me sound dumb. But why would it not be implemented? It would have bee interesting, pokemon dosn't aply the real life logic.
@@yesman1743 You are absolutely right and as an Italian, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the Catholic Church and the pope have had a huge influence on our culture... I was actually pretty baffled when I realized he hadn't even mentioned them. And about history, he should have included Middle Ages and the Risorgimento, which have been crucial historical periods for Italy...
You really need to stop thinking that we won’t like the story segment of the video. I love the story segment and nothing is better than an artist being passionate in their work, so don’t worry about it! Be emotional! Show off the little details! These are things that I, and probably a lot of others, love! And also, HOW HAVE YOU NOT BEEN HIRED BY GAMEFREAK?!?!?! Edit: I also love that you added voice actors cause GOD does that make me love the story segment even more!
Marco lowkey reminds me of Bakugou Anyway, I'm Italian. As u all know, we are VEEEEERY picky and proud when it comes to our country and culture. We hate that everybody just thinks of us as a bunch of stereotypes. Everything a foreigner says about us almost always gets on our nerves. That's why it's incredible that I say to you THANK YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the respect and the actual STUDY you put in this video. You celebrated our culture, you collected informations about our whole country, not only the 3 cities and things everybody knows, you made it digestible for both Italians and foreigners. Everybody can see, understand the references and appreciate this video without any complaints. It is so freakin entertaining, it shows how much love and commitment you have. It's a gigant work and I am so happy and thankful and proud of you and my country too. You showed all of its potential and beauty. You created a full complete world rich in characters and locations. Some of your ideas are so fresh and new! This whole video warmed my heart. Thank u thank u thank u. Cheers from Naples (come and see it. We have so many things to eat that would change your life!!!)
I love the use of Team Rocket for this, makes total sense. Their overall leader was literally called Giovanni, there's no way they don't originate in an Italian region if one is made.
Fun fact! Your legendary Pokémon (the eagle and the wolf) are the symbols of the main Rome football teams .. these two team are rivals so it's pretty funny that you choose those animals
@@carminecdinoproductions they can also be found it ANY other country, bears in Russia or Canada, Wolves in Italy or France and a Eagle EVERYWHERE such as Germany, Poland, Austria, Australia and others
The only problem is that he missed the greatest cave complex in Europe, It's not the Sardinia's one, The Castellana Caves in Apulia are worthier, you shuould try to search on google White Cave Apulia
Anche a me è piaciuto tutto , eccetto che il fatto che non puoi cambiare le cose e far terminare il fatto che loro governano tutto mi ha lasciato un po' triste , il resto è magnifico
As an italian myself, I’m overwhelmed by this incredible work. You have a good knowledge of Italy and also great ideas for an italian based region. Bravissimo.
1. Love the story and the region. 2. I love the Renaissance 3. The idea of a non-redeeming rival is a great idea. Pokémon definitely needs more of those. 4. I’m picking the Water starter 5. That end credit scene!
Something to keep in mind for Piazza san Marco, as someone who lived in Italy, there should be Pidoves covering every inch of the ground in the square :P
As an Italian myself I may be biased, but I've totally loved it from beginning to end! From the story, to the aestethics of the new pokemon, to the tinies details you encorporated to depict the cities, everything is wonderful!! Don't even know if you did it on purpose or not, but few things actually reflect on-going problems in Italy right now, like the unfinished tunnel between us and France, or the waaay too nostalgic groups that want to "make Italy great again". If that was a real game I would TOTALLY spend whatever to play it! P.S. The Italian mum seems way too keen on let you go on your adventure though. Both her and your Grandma should fill your backpack with food and call you multiple times a day to ask you if you're good and if you've already eaten or not. That's probably one of the most accurate things you could have!
I am seriously impressed with the level of detail, effort, and love for this. 2 hours. Simply incredible. You essentially designed a draft region with all of its inhabitants, stories, cultures, etc all on your own.
Oh. My. Goodness. Where do I begin with Mr. Buddy: The Movie? The voice acting? Bakugo Italiano? TEAM ESTETA'S UNRIVALED AESTHETIC? This is your most detailed and character-rich regional video so far, BY FAR. And I enjoyed every ounce of creativity you and all the other artists involved poured into this. I say "other artists" because the work you do, Buddy, is as much art to me as the Mona Lisa herself. I mean that in the most genuine of ways. These works of yours never cease to impress me, and I applaud your engagement with the community - from the Discord server, to the viewer interaction, to the dozens of commissions you've ordered, you've really made this channel one-of-a-kind amidst the sea of Pokétubers. If you ever need to commission some art for an upcoming video, I'd be more than willing to lend a hand. I have yet to see the Post-game section, but I wanted to get this message out to you as soon as I could. Keep up the great work, Mr. Buddy!
See, this is what i respect about Mr Buddy. He may not be the biggest name out there but instead of releasing rushed content every week or so he takes the time effort and energy to develop what content he does produce into a wonderful and unique experience for his audience. Quality definitely squashea quantity with him but thats something I love and it makes waiting for his videos better because you know each time will be greater than the last.
A NATIONS STRENGTH. The actual Combined Level or Power or Something of a Pokemon-Region and therefore its actual theoretical Military Might: This is literally something i see non-covered by all of the Poke-Tubers. ?!?
y'know, you shouldn't have to warn us about the story segments. Hell, they're my favorite part of these regional videos. I say go all out~ get overly detailed, get super emotional! I wish I had even a fraction of the passion and imagination you have for creating new Pokemon lore and making regions :D I think I might have said this before, but if these were real Pokemon games, or even just fan-made games, I'd play 'em in a heartbeat
Usually when you live somewhere, you stop finding out cool things once you know where the cheapest and most nearby supermarket is, where you work and where the city center is. I dont even know the names of the other streets in my neighborhood lol.
As an Italian guy that has been playing Pokemon for the past 14 years, this video makes me extremely happy and proud of my country and legacy. Thank you for your study and time.
*Me living in a 7,5km² island lost and forgotten in the middle of the Sea* "There is no way he's gonna talk about the place where i live, he probaly based his work on few well knowed cities..." *After you become the champion of the region you actually go to Pontine Islands* Me: 😯
I'm flattered. Seriously. Knowing that someone put SO much effort in this makes me think that we italians aren't always seen as walking stereotypes. Italy has a huge historical/cultural/artistic background and you managed to pick the best for each region. You must have studied a lot for this and i give you maximum respect. You earned a subscriber
As an Italian, I really loved everything about this video. The ideas for the Pokémon are very creative and I particularly appreciated the shark-like one and the two legendaries. Stunning character design for those, at that. I think, however, that you should've talked about the cities a little longer because there are so many cultural differences from a real-life Italian region to another. I would also like to point out a few things that you could add that would further enrich the whole region: -The importance of Bologna in real life as an interchange city is very important, not only culturally but from a geographical point of view, too. It would be interesting to focus more on this point and let the player go there multiple times to travel from one city to another, adding more in-game events. -Siena, a city near Florence, holds an event called Palio annually where various "contrade" challenge each other in a horse riding challenge. I think it would be very interesting to see this kind of thing in a Pokémon event. -Using Sicily as a victory road would be interesting, however that would minimize the importance of several, beautiful Sicilian cities such as Catania, Siracusa and Messina. Not to mention that the importance of Mount Etna is crucial to the culture of the region. Given that, if I were you I would have used the St. Peter Basilica and the Vatican City area as the Pokémon League for the region. -Talking about Rome, I believe that focusing on the "colli di Roma" could have been an interesting thing to do in some way. -As many Tuscanian cities like to fight between each other, it would be a fun idea to hear trainers from Pisa and Florence talking between each other's backs (Pisa merda, comunque).
wow dude its amizing, you created a 2+ hour long video, and that must have took dozens of hours of editing and fliming, but i cannot imagine how much effort you put into researching about our culture. Everything was literally perfect, and I could tell you spent hours of researches for every single location. Love this
Am I the only one who thinks someone should make a Pokémon fangame based on this vídeo? I want to play it so hard!!! Italy is one of the countries that I love the most, and besides, I want that Ghostly Shark Pokémon in my team XD PD: It would be awesome to see a "What if Pokémon Region?" video based on the Mexican culture... I´m thinking of a regional/primal Rayquaza form that resembles the Aztec/Mayan God of wind and life: Kukulcan/Quetzalcoatl or a Gym Leader/Evil Team inspired in the "Día de los Muertos" festivity which uses only Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon. Anyways, good job, bro... I never miss any of these amazing vídeos, the effort you put on them is clearly seen. Greetings from México, btw :3
I'm just a first-year student in computer science, but had i the knowledge required, i'd do it myself. Also i'm italian and i really loved everythig about this
Props to the artists who worked on the locations. There is some much detail put in every place that make it seem like a cohesive environment where humans and Pokémon live together. (Milan was the coolest one, so much detail from Elisa, Mario and Luigi, to team buddy. Beautiful!)
As an Italian I am overwhelmingly flattered by the painstaking amount of research you put into this. Glad to have watched this - I might well take this as a gateway video for your previous "regions". Keep up the great work!
This is some amazing work. I would love playing this Pokemon region. The new Pokemon you created are amazing, the starters legit look better than the gen 8 starters and I am absolutely in love with Impereagle. This is so impressive I am definitely going to check out the other videos of this series. Keep up the amazing work!
Brilliant pokemon with a downright broken water starter, increadble league, fantastic post game, amazing ties to previous games, incredible design og the main menu as a wearable item, and my favorite thing that this video had, voice acting. Yet another job well done Mr. Buddy!
That Nero ending would have been so cool! The way you envisioned it makes me emotional for some reason, something about the silence, a great fight and watching the sunset with a broken man... Amazing work buddy!
Omg... I'm italian and a pokemon fan since childhood, this video is makin me dream..... wow... amazing! congratulations to you and to all the staff that made all this... how much imagination and originality, i'm really happy and glad I came across this video. greetings from Confienza (very small village in northern Italy)! :))
Ok, first off: I'm italian second off: Holy heck I really love this!!! The story, the characters, the pokemons, the locations... it's just all so well done! All the time you spent on researching the history and culture of Italy really shows! I smiled through the whole thing~ Congratulations to you and to all the people who collaborated in the making of these videos, keep it up! Now I really want a italian based region though... ;;w;; Ps: those accents were adorable! (in a good way of course ♥)
Gli accenti fanno un po' cagare, nessuno parla inglese così in italia, l'accento alla Super Mario è uno stereotipo sbagliato. Il doppiaggio in generale è davvero buono tho
In one of the early towns, talking to an NPC girl who has a Farfetch'd standing next to her will make her introduce herself as an aspiring young fencer who admires the Italian Renaissance school of historical martial arts. She offers to battle you, and if you accept, you easily defeat her low-level Farfetch'd. She says that neither she nor her Pokemon partner are daunted and that they will become the best historical fencers in the Italian region, no matter what! (Leaving the player character to wonder how much competition for that title there can possibly be...) Throughout the rest of the game, the girl appears as an NPC several more times in different cities, but always in out-of-the way places that take some exploring to stumble upon, such as back alleyways or on accessible rooftops. The player will recognize her because of her partner Pokemon being at her side, as she has the same sprite/model as any other "Lass" trainer class NPC. Each time you talk to her, she will offer to battle you to test her new skills and have a slightly better team, while taking her defeat in stride and giving you some Stardust afterward which you can sell. Finally, you encounter her for the last time in the postgame. After you become Champion, she will be found sitting outside a cafe in a main plaza (in plain sight for once) and when spoken to, challenges you to battle with an appropriately-leveled team of Farfetch'd, Doublade, Absol, Bisharp, and Gallade. Once defeated, she says that she and her partner have come a long way as fencers since the beginning, and it's all thanks to the player's constant help with sharpening her skills. She gives you the Protective Pads item as a nod to protective fencing gear, as well as an Egg that hatches into a special Farfetch'd that knows the move Sacred Sword. I think this would be a fun nod to the Italian school of Renaissance-era swordsmanship and the many surviving Italian-languages treatises on the subject from that period, which are used in modern times to teach historical styles of European combat. As a meta-level joke, the "localization team" for the "game" could throw a couple of low-key 'Princess Bride' references into her "translated" dialogue. Her Farfetch'd is not left-handed!
But can the egg hatch like in a special way... Like heres what I thought of how it hatches (I guess the egg can be a key item) Once defeating the girl and getting the egg you are given a ticket by her to some special place where Pokemon Fencing happens since she thinks you're ready to go there. You go to a harbour and there is a special sailor with a different sprite that appears, he can sail you to the Pokemon Fencing place but before doing that you have to battle him. His team would be Gallade and Garchomp, upon beating him he will let you sail to the place. Once you get there somebody welcomes you to the place. He notices your special egg and asks to see if he can borrow your egg. There would be no choices so you have to say yes and he takes it then goes somewhere. You, being left confused tries to find him in the iskand but he is not there. Once you get in the building people will notice that you are the Champion and wish you a good luck then go back to doing their own stuff. There would be 5 Elite Pokemon Fencers(I guess the girl mentions them in her dialouge(sorry if misspelled). Once beating 4 of the Elite Pokemon Fencers you notice that the fifth one is missing. The fifth one turns out to be the same guy who took your egg and it turns out he wants to use that pokemon within the egg for evil. It turns out he's been using the Pokemon Fencing place as a base of operations to rebuild the evil team but you guys foil his plans. Once seeing him, you can see your egg inside a incubator. He/She used to be the first grunt you defeated. He/She wants revenge so you fight him He/She won't be easy so his team is somewhere among the levels of 79-86. His/Her team is composed of Garchomp, Gallade, Beedrill, and Heracross. Once beating the team you have a chance to get the egg back and the egg would be a normal egg that can hatch now. As a back up plan he/she decides to try and kill everyone in the building. As he/she decides to escape in the secret passage way the secret passage way collapses leaving the grunt in to die. You guys escape with everybody leaving the place in ruins. This sounds stupid now that I think about it
Also I quess the farfetch would be a galarian farfetch, who would become a sirfetch,d after a few battles with her, because, while it may look like a knight, it’s white color and long leak actually makes it look more like a fencer.
I’m Italian and I’m incredibly impressed by your work. Amazing and detailed, you definitely did your research!! What if someone made a hack for this? You even included my town and made efforts to choose a relevant one for almost every region even though some are usually neglected ^^ I’m quite surprised you chose Cosenza but thanks, I felt honoured!
Ooooooh jeez, what a fun time! I love how fun Esteta is - Venezio is already best boy. I just really love how extensive this region is, _buuut_ the Scandinavian region would probably still be my favorite (I'm stubborn and attached). The voice-acting really helped in immersing people into your story, and I can't help but just be in awe over how much work you put into it. Definitely love the callbacks to the England region and, even though he's a hobo, it was nice to see Nero again. Marco may be an especially harsh rival, but I love him. I especially love how he's not necessarily redeemed and even becomes involved in a life of crime. _And_ he gets mentored by Giovanni? _You sure we can't trade places there?_ Overall, this was really fun - hat's off to you. You definitely deserve a break after all that and, though I don't at all expect you to jump into another What If regional project, I'd like to suggest Egypt! Yes, it's an obvious choice for an African country and, yes, it was because of the dark museum event Marco caused (also all the involvement Egypt and Rome had way back when). Man, I'm way too invested in the Buddyverse now, whew.
Random comment from Italy. This work is absolutely monumental, my friend! I watched it all and I can say it is no doubt the best research work I've ever seen on my country. And it was done for pokèmon purposes ahahahah. It was a pleasure to follow your ideas. (As a Neapolitan, props for your idea of re-inventing Naples fire-related and not water-related!)
Concept: The final boss pokemon is literally an antropomorphic wolf gladiator pokemon and you try to stop him with the help of the Pope, who someone proposed to be the region champion.
Pokemon Golden Wind Story: you, the player have a dream! You want to become a pokestar! And unlike normal pokemon games where you fight the evil team and dismantle it in a one man punitive campaign for the boss, instead you join the evil team, team "Passione", after mugging a tourist from kanto, nearly getting clapped by them in your first battle, and then joining up with them to defeat a member of Team Passione, you join the team, and after defeating an insurrection against their boss called "team squadra" your friendly rival goes into a gym in a Venice based city to meet the leader who is also the boss of Team Passione, and after a battle nearly killing your friendly rival (before your starter pokemon heals him) you now have to reach Rome based City fighting all sorts of Characters along the way, once you reach Rome based City you meet a character from the game before the last "Pokémon Stardust" in a battle with team passione's boss "Diavolo" he dies if it's not for him using the 8th Gym badge which is also a mega/requiem stone/arrow to mega evolve his pokemon into Aegislash Requiem, your friendly rival alongside the boss's second personality also dies and the guy from Pokémon stardust becomes a Turtwig, the fight is now for the 8th gym badge, where the boss uses his Pokémon to skip turns where you attack, making him basically invulnerable, however when you use the 8th gym badge requiem mega stone on your pokemon (Italian variety of ledian) turns into the legendary of this region "GOLDU EKUSPERIENCU REQUIEM!" And muda rushes Diavolo into and infinite cycle of his pokemon fainting. The story ends with you becoming the boss of Team Passione and in the post game you challenge the pokemon league or something. Can't wait for the florida based region video so we can see Pokémon Stone. =3
This is the first video by you I have ever saw, but it's great, I will watch all the others. I don't know if you will ever read this comment, but thank you, from an Italian guy that loves his culture and Pokémon, this video was simply amazing. The only things I may say, I would have loved seeing a fossile pokemon from Pompei, maybe Rock-fire (it would be the first one) and maybe a story of change for Marco, that does what he does more for his father than for himself. Again, you did a great job, congrats!
The head of the museum is a friend of the professor but he's secretly on the side of the evil team and well betray the protagoniat at some point revealing himself to be an admin for the team (never trusted zahi hawas)
I have to say, I am really impressed with the Italy Region video. This video really is, how Venezio says, *exquisite!!!* By the way, 1:47:07 - Egypt Region video maybe in the works?
HOLY SH*T VOICE ACTING?! the production quality of these vids is really improving each time you make one! Great vid. This channel just has such good content. And if your still looking about other potential regions, I think an Africa or Egyptian style one might be a cool to observe. If you get time to of course! We don't want you overworking yourself!
Yeah I saw this for audition I was going to voice act but I felt like I couldnt be what he was looking for but I'm here to see how it turned out tho cause why not
Ah, Mr Buddy’s self-deprecating attitude when these are literally the best videos of their kind out there and we wouldn’t mind them being 5 hours long if they were
This truly is the epitome of hard work and true talent combined with a passion for Pokémon and it is actually a work of art. I mean really the amount of work that went into this with the design, drawings, original Pokémon, everything has amazed me. I don’t know how else to show my appreciation other than liking and subscribing, but jeez. This is truly insane, mind blowing. Nintendo should pick this up immediately and you should get every bit of the credit. Seriously, wow
I died (that was so funny) when you pronounced it "schimo" instead of "scemo". This is such a great idea, you guys are fantastic keep up this excellent work
@@charteon9092 XD I'd love to recommend you even more, mate. I know Quality when i see it and i saw a LOT of channel in my life. Zoo Tier, Legal Eagle, SEA, Practical Engineering, Sci Show, those are just Some. But my absolut Favorite about General Education are Illuminaughtii and HBomberguy. Those are Best for non-specific themes (they both go over everything from flat-earth to vaccines to Video games and so much more).
Out of all the places in Italy you included my hometown Pescara, that's so kind ❤ i truly wish Gamefreak would make a game based on your idea, it would probably make me cry as it'd be like a dream come true! Your content has left me speechless, congrats for the well explored research and the incredible project developed 🙂
Suggestions: What if Singapore was a Pokemon region? What if Russia was a Pokemon region? What if Spain was a Pokemon region? What if Portugal was a Pokemon region? What if India was a Pokemon region?
@@Muffetindo11 So what? It has a lot of potential to be a Pokemon region. Sure, it may be small, but it's jam-packed full of super-cool places to visit and foods to eat.
I don't even know what to say to this. The amount of research and time this must have taken is staggering. I love all of the new pokemon and regional variants (and even the new abilities, Quarantine is a great idea). The fire goat is bloody adorable, and I think you've created my first favorite water starter since Squirtle. Also I love that fighting/steel eagle legend. Your female starting trainer and Sophia are an absolute cutie, and huge props to your artists because these look legit like actual official Pokemon art. (The mother isn't half bad either.) Also the voice acting, damn! Loving the return to the old Gary-style rival thing. The story sounds cool, but it does also sound extremely rushed after the 4th badge. You speed through like 3 cities chasing after Venezio... maybe if you go back to them properly afterwards it wouldn't be so bad, but otherwise this would have to be paced well. The story is pretty unique too, not even "take over the world" thing. It's pretty great. This is the first one I've seen, so now I'll have to set aside some time to watch the other region videos. If they're ever half as good as this one, they'll be well worth it.
Really man, this is sooooo good😍, loved how you studied all the geographical, natural, cultural, artistic and flokloristic parts of my country and transformated them into a pokemon region. And the story was so catchy and intriguing, and also the character were very interesting in all their part. You've done an incredible job. BRAVO. The only thing I would have chosen differently is the Naples gym leader. Fire type for Naples is a pretty good choice but the gym leader should have been a pizzaiolo in my opinion, Naples is the mother-city of pizza. A gym battle in a typical Italiano pizzeria would have been great.
Also, I'm kinda curious: was the whole Team Esteta plot inspired by the ACTUAL serious problem of negligence that many archeological sites suffer, devaluing and allowing the damaging of priceless works of art which, incidentally, are also one of the best sources of revenue for cities and the state? ...My country is an old country. Not in that it has an old history, but in that it feels like EVERYONE is old, tired and has already given up, content of fading away from history, with nothing new to give to the world, and they'll watch those last days paranoically holding onto what little they already had, and screw everyone else. Honestly, for how cheesy Federico's character was... his motivations and fears DO resonate with me. With a little better writing and more context... it could probably be the story written by a foreigner that nails the problems that plague Italy the closest.
@@antonioscendrategattico2302 pagherei per avere una versione irl...Adesso che ci penso è una specie di versione alternativa di un mebro della famiglia Angela che ha perso la speranza e si è dato al crimine per divulgare l'importanza della cultura. 🤔
Tbh I think the biggest problem Italy has right now is the loss of political consciousness and corruption. But yes, I found this plotline also closely resonates with what you mentioned as well.
>opens video >Sicily hosts the pokemon league >is Sicilian >WOO-HOO! WE GOT THE LEAGUE, GUYS! Btw, great work as always, dude! You can tell these videos are passionate and thoroughly researched. I really hope this particular one sparks some interest about our country within many people ~ Until then... Arrivederci!
ChooChooChurchill On a completely unrelated note, good luck with the politics going on in your country. I’m a Trumper American and wish you guys all the best! (Regardless of your opinion of what’s going on politically)
@@jacksauce The situation in our country is not easy, being the problem either a slow economic development, politics going in different directions and, of course, our public debt (well, mainly there's these issues). But it's still our country, precious and unique, and I think we can still prosper as long as we don't lose our hopes and don't lose sight of the good things that we have. So yeah, I guess I have another wish then: hope Italians watch the video too, we definitely need some optimism. Thank you again for your concern and I wish you a great day! ~
ChooChooChurchill Yeah wow! I’ll make sure to pray for you guys and your country as a whole. Whatever happens, I hope that it results in the betterment of Italy as a whole. Again, love from America! And I really hope many more Italians like you find this video and see something positive about their country on the internet! 🇺🇸❤️ 🇮🇹
Yet another comment! I was a little disappointed at how there was not much development in Marco. What made the other rude rivals special that they developed a lot as a character. But then I saw the after credits scene and I am a little surprised. I am exited at what you have in store for Marco. And lastly, wow the after credits scene made Marco's dad Antonio a freaking psycho. This really makes me wonder how he got into the elite four. But then again, he is a mob boss. Overall, good job! I really like how made this region darker than the others. I love it! Edit: I also forgot to include the fact that I loved Team Esteta! The designs, the members, their arc and character development, their dialogue, everything! Good job as always! I could really praise more for your creativity, but this comment would get longer. It is, after all, long enough as it is!
Honestly I’ve been wanting that mechanic for a while. We got it in gen 6 but only for Furfrou which isn’t even that good. I wanna sculpt Avaluggs and paint lovely designs onto Mimikyu’s cloth.
1) can you do Canada next? There's some really good locations and history here that I think you could implement 2) damn after watching a few more of your What If Regional videos I'd have to say you could indeed make the whole world into a pokemon version of itself. Very in depth and awesome to watch and even listen to if this would be been a podcast. Looks like a lot of hardwork and thought went into these regional what ifs and if you kept up that hard work I'm sure you can pull off many country regions "easy", in that being said, refer to "1)" have an excellent day from me in Canada
@SuperYoshiFan10090 Studios what would the legendarys be an acorn and a syrup Pokemon hold on a second If Made right that would be cool please If you do so make a cute syrup Pokemon
if he does Canada, I think he should explore the culture of our first nations like having a turtle as a legendary to represent Turtle Island, and four starters flying fire water and grass to represent the four parts of the medicine wheel.
@@bet3476 Canada's native culture IS a major part of the nation's heritage anyways. It should mention the coexisting of two worlds with different views, but still manage to live as part of society.
I absolutely and unabashedly love love *LOVE* this video! Everything about it is stunning in every aspect: the voice acting, the art, the plot, the pokemon, the characters, their interactions! And Marco, dear god MARCO!!! I've just fallen so in love for his character, I literally felt dread at the end of the epilogue; I really hope that I, the player in the next game, can find a solution to this soon, or else I'm gonna Mcfreaking lose it! But other than that, thank you for for all the effort you put into making this Mr. Buddy! It's definitely not gonna go unappreciated in my book!
As a man of Italian decent, I can feel the marinara in my bloodstream getting warm just looking at this and having this idea for a Pokémon Region actually being made by Gamefreak just makes me want to cry wine with joy. To be perfectly honest, I would buy the deluxe/collector's edition in a heartbeat.
Was stuck in traffic when this video dropped. THANK GOD IT DID! Made sitting in an hour and a half traffic bearable!! I absolutely loved the addition of the voice actors. The story was well thought out and made me excited to see what comes next. Keep up the great work🙌🙌🙌
Let's be honest, the position as Champion is all perks, and no responsibilities, you technically don't even lose your position if you are defeated challenging the elite four.
HATS OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Usually I don't leave comments but I feel obliged to after watching the whole 2-hour episode!!!!!! With all the graphics/animation/character design/pokémon design I can tell you've put in sooooo much time and effort in doing research and writing the 30-page plot and editing the vid! I'd LOVE to visit this charming Italy-inspired region brimming with history and culture. I like the Italian E4 and the gym leaders but I think they can play a more important role in the game (making more appearances maybe? That's the reason why many people like BW because the gym leaders all appear outside of their gyms and are more memorable). The fairy seahorse looks fabulous. I thought the signature pokémon of Team Esteta boss would be the badass looking Aromstisse but no... Anyway, impressive plot and definitely a viable fangame idea. Like the little cliffhanger at the end. Look forward to your next vid!
Maybe it's the art style, but I'm concerned that Nero seems to have aged from a 12 year old kid into a weathered old hermit in about 4 years. Unless that beard is fake and he's just a Drama Caesar.
It's all in the voice tbh. He should sound withered from lack of proper nourishment but he shouldn't be sound like an old man. Beyond that I'd say his design is fine for someone who's been banished for so long, dude probably regularly shaved before his banishment.
Yeah 30 mins more than last time ! Hope to see the 20th video in this serie, What if the moon was a Pokemon Region, 10 hours long. xD Joking aside, amazing work as always
only issue I have is that there's a tad bit too many branching paths and some areas that don't end up anywhere (like Cosenza and Ostuni), or areas where you go to for a story point and then return to the main path. It's way too open ended imho
Well damn, you actually got voice actors. NICE! "After asking if the audience was entertained...." I see what you did there. ;) I didn't think I'd watch the whole thing, but I did. That was epic. Aaaand it's past midnight, well damn. XD
I am very happy to see how much effort you and many other people put into making all these videos. The final result is incredibely organic and...."*gamefreaky*"... :) I am also happy that this whole thing is over, since you can finaly sit down and relax. XD
I’d like to see Buddy make a Pokemon region video about the *Pacific Ocean* starring key locations such as the Great Barrier Reef and the Mariana Trench. We can also introduce some of the strangest Water Type Pokemon as well.
See, you say it as a joke, but if you look at it in a really strange way, it would be possible. See, in the Gen 3 games, they had towns built on islands in the ocean around Hoenn, or in the case of Pacificlog Town, built ON the water. Now, imagine if an entire region was like that. You could still have the weird AF Water Types, but instead of tall grass, you encounter them in those shallowed out bits of water you'd find on water routes. Just imagine it...
This is fantastic, i literally got no words. I would love to see a pokemon game with my country as an inspiration for a pokemon region. (You have a really good knowledge of Italian history and culture btw)
Perhaps a regional version Of the Duskull line as sugar skulls (all of them being Ghost/Fairy types), a Fighting type gym leader based off a luchador, etc.
I really like Marco but there were definitely occasions where I wished you could see some more of his character development and backstory - especially regarding what I'm sure is a very difficult relationship with his father
Ok, so first time I've come across your content, and WOW. Your writing is insanely good. Like from a fan standpoint, absolutely riveting, and drawing in. Love that you brought back the jerk rival. I love how he resembles Silver in story some, but with a closer connection to his (canon) father. The characters are so well made, I could easily see that if they were the canon characters, there would be a LOT of fan art and writings. Overall just cool as heck!

This! This is gorgeous! I’m absolutely in love with these videos! They’re so well done and detailed!
Such a big step in production quality, everything was stunning. Can’t wait for the next one! 😊

I would also like to point out a few things that you could add that would further enrich the whole region:
-The importance of Bologna in real life as an interchange city is very important, not only culturally but from a geographical point of view, too.
Pisa meddaaaaaaaa
Bel commento comunque!

(Leaving the player character to wonder how much competition for that title there can possibly be...)
Throughout the rest of the game, the girl appears as an NPC several more times in different cities, but always in out-of-the way places that take some exploring to stumble upon, such as back alleyways or on accessible rooftops.
It would be awesome if at some point she could say, "My name is ____, you beat me once, prepare to lose.
Perosha Каркарова So, essentially the player character is Ezio?
I love this idea!
But can the egg hatch like in a special way...
Like heres what I thought of how it hatches
(I guess the egg can be a key item)
Once defeating the girl and getting the egg you are given a ticket by her to some special place where Pokemon Fencing happens since she thinks you're ready to go there.
He/She wants revenge so you fight him
He/She won't be easy so his team is somewhere among the levels of 79-86.
_You sure we can't trade places there?_
Overall, this was really fun - hat's off to you.
Egypt would be super interesting. It's had like 7000 years of history, and a lot of it, even after the fall of the Pharaohs, was super interesting.
@@antonioscendrategattico2302 Agreed. I'd honestly love to see how so much extensive history would play into the present day setting!

Pokemon Golden Wind
Story: you, the player have a dream!

A pompeii fossil pokemon? That would be AWESOME.
This is epic!
And, please do a 'what if Egypt is a Pokemon region' video. I'll never, ever give up!
Egypt's evil teams are a bunch off aholes who want to erase history with violence and vandalism so they can have more power. I would love that.
after that turin's museum reference, an Egypt region is mandatory
And the main theme could be preserving the past vs destroying it. Maybe with a legendary that can erase memories. That could be awesome.
The head of the museum is a friend of the professor but he's secretly on the side of the evil team and well betray the protagoniat at some point revealing himself to be an admin for the team (never trusted zahi hawas)

The voice acting is a awesome addition to these videos!

I’d like to see Buddy make a Pokemon region video about the *Pacific Ocean* starring key locations such as the Great Barrier Reef and the Mariana Trench. We can also introduce some of the strangest Water Type Pokemon as well.
How is that a plot twist??
See, you say it as a joke, but if you look at it in a really strange way, it would be possible.
See, in the Gen 3 games, they had towns built on islands in the ocean around Hoenn, or in the case of Pacificlog Town, built ON the water.
Now, imagine if an entire region was like that. You could still have the weird AF Water Types, but instead of tall grass, you encounter them in those shallowed out bits of water you'd find on water routes.
Just imagine it...
