Hi ive been searching the Internet all day and cant find my answer im wondering if you could help after watching your video, the black foam die that has the bow template on it do you always have to use them or can i use the individual templates that i already have if you understand what i mean thanks
Do you have a Cricut machine? You can cut thousands of templates from a machine. This bow pattern in particular can only be used from a die, but there are a million similar to this that are in an SVG form.

How does it know what to cut ???
On the die it has perforations that it will cut out. Once you roll it, it will cut out the material and you will have a the pieces you need.

I have a question, how hard is it to find a simple, straightforward way to make a gosh darn bow? I’ve searched the internet, I used my search bar in my You Tube setting, and all I could find was hundreds of ways to make bows from ribbon, tulle, bows so intricate and far too difficult for my level of craftsmanship or styles I don’t much care for. Plus, I don’t own a lot of their fancy dies, and I sure as heck don’t want to.
So, I come here, and what do I get? First, I hear music in the background, and then I see the camera set in a position where it looks a bit difficult for the artist. I stop myself from banging my head on my work desk, and push through and what do I get after the 12 minute or so video?
I finally get someone who speaks slowly enough and clearly enough for me to understand. I get to watch from beginning to end in making a bow rather than skipping steps on the usual videos out there. And the result? A beautiful bow that looks like it will last far longer than the ones in the stores. And guess what? If I follow KayJay’s steps correctly, I’m going to get a gorgeous bow too.
Thank goodness for your video. You’ve saved me from a lot more heartache in searching for a simple video in making a bow. We all have to start somewhere in our search for information, direction and so forth. So I would definitely recommend this channel to anyone who just wants to learn how to make a gosh darn, simple bow. How is that? Dang hard nowadays, well, for me anyways. Thank you for saving me KayJay. I was starting to get a headache from banging my head in despair.
So, I certainly did hit the like button, more like smashed it when I saw the end result of your well-made bow, and I’m now a new subscriber. I so hope I don’t drive you batty with my going ons. If so, just block me. I’m known to be a bit long winded, which is not my fault by the way! I was born in a line of storytellers. So not my fault.
