Enjoying this recipe now as I type this note. It's been in the keg for one month and it's just a really enjoyable beer. If you're considering brewing a blonde ale I don't think you can go wrong with this recipe. I have the strong bitter recipe brewed with double roasted crystal conditioning now, really looking forward to trying it. Cheers!

great video, perfect analysis of all aspects of the beer. do you have the specific poundage for each of the grains for this brew. maybe I missed them in the video.

Nope. My recipes use percentages so you can tailor to your system

A few question for you. Do you mash out, add yeast nutrients and flock to your brews?
I have been adding to mine and it is the only thing I do that is not mentioned in your recipes. Great job as always, Cheers.

good questions. I usually do 10-15 minute mashout. I always add yeast nutrient and my preferred nutrient is wyeast nutrient. I use Irish Moss on most my beers except the ones that are supposed to be hazy (Wit, weizen, and Hazy IPA)

Awesome recipe. I'll definitely use this as my base for an American Blonde. Due to my freezer being full I'll most likely use some varieties I already have. Most likely Cluster for bittering and Barbe Rouge as aromahop.
Btw the Lallemand Pitching rate calculator says 11.1g for a 5 gallon batch with 1.047 OG. And they seem a bit conservative. I would just use 1 package. No need to overpitch.

I almost always overpitch, especially if i don' t know the yeast count. Pro pitching rates when I do.

@@MeanBrews Lallemand Pitching rate calculator is great, just follow the rates given and you'll be good. I suspect Lallemand have control on the cells count 😁.
But on the sidenote some yeasts, most notably some Belgians, Weizen and Kveiks yeasts will flourish when underpitched.
