Is there any benefit to having the snorkel on the outside of the engine bay vs. the Rugged Ridge brand that runs the snorkel tube under the hood?

Reduced heat transfer for one. These outside style snorkels dont get heat soaked like the under hood versions. I personally like the looks of the this unit. Paired with the mishimoto intake, sign me up!
