This is just my humble opinion, but we're so brainwashed by productivity-based thinking that we genuinely believe that working harder and longer at something is inherently better. But there are many instances where this isn't true, mindfulness and spirituality being prime examples.
True. Especially in some regions and some cities people are more hyped up. Nobody is allowed to be simple and happy, everything has to be super tech and ultra competitive.

I needed to watch this. My guides are telling me all I have to do is practice opening up and relax. Be patient. Take care of my body, clear my mind, and be myself. I find gentle mantras with a breath helpful when seriousness is involved, such as "its ok there's no need to rush you have all the time in the world" / "just relax" etc.. they help as long as the intent is to genuinely find peace.
I've been in spirituality long enough to finally realize the futility of struggling; of making effort, exertion and so on. Teachers like Adyashanti and Mooji, along with sages like Nisargadatta Maharaj and Ramana Maharshi very much advocated this simple little piece of advice. . . Just be. Which doesn't mean to define ourselves as being this or being that. More like being nothing in particular. Any definition we give ourselves, even though it may be a good and noble thing in itself, is still limiting. Concepts and ideas create limitations, boundaries where they are not needed, illusions and self-made prisons. This is essentially what the human ego is. . .it's that mental and psychological "me" that we take ourselves to be in our mind, with all of its beliefs, assumptions, fears and desires, stories, interpretations, commentaries images and so on that bring about suffering and misery. This is the kind of stuff that we need to awaken from. Spirituality is not a way to "self-improvement", though some may be content with and enamored with that. It is about waking up and realizing what we all actually are, which is actually something indescribable. Words can only point to it. And that's okay. More that okay, actually. : )
When I first began meditating, I knew these things. Then I forgot for a time and had lost touch with my higher self. I've been wondering why. Thanks for the reminder. Time for me to get back to simply having intention & allowing. The intention to FEEL and allow the feelings. And, most important .. be curious. Yes. This is a very good video. Heart smile.
I so feel you, I tried so hard to stay positive until I was in a serious burn out, really sick and on the ground. Over time I learned to value all experiences, not just the positive ones. It is our society that often tells us to be happy all the time or else our life will be wasted. But stepping back from that, such a relief.
That’s so calm, centered and so beautiful said!!! I think a lot of us are extra high achievers and before we know it meditation becomes just another toy that we have managed to conquer, just another drug that we have gotten ourselves hooked on...surrender and just be curious without any judgment it is such a foreign concept to us...
Really good content brother, very well spoken and a clear message, overall I agree 100 percent, sometimes it’s good to step back and not get to worked up if your practices aren’t giving you the results you want, I find the key to progression is not to force it but to let it come naturally. Peace and love to you ☯️💜🕉
Thank you, I needed the reminder of the feeling of being connected with the divine- of simply being at peace allowing things to unfold around us, instead of feeling the need to control, change & influence. Borrowed words: "when we push, we push against the entire universe."
I kind of did this last year with school. Before I would constantly switch between trying really hard and stressing myself out, and not caring and avoid my school work all together. Then I just had this idea one day, what if I tried thinking of it how I did when I was a kid ? I started to go to school everyday repeating something along the lines of this when anything got to hard; "I'm coming here to have fun, listen to what a teacher says, and remember/use it for something(projects, tests, etc.), this can be easy, I will try my best and if I dont understand it or do something wrong it's not my fault, and not a big deal". Magically my grades improved, I went from D's and up to all A's and a few high B's. I just thought I'd share as an example of how this "softer" approach can work with alot of things, probably most things actually.
So true, I truly respect your calm and loving demeanor. Such a reflection of the inner work you must do to be as still as you are. Thanks for this message. Much love to you all on your awakening journey 🙏🏼😌
I love the distinction you make between exertion and engagement. On my own path to self-improvement, I've often felt burned out just by trying to improve my personal anxieties, which has hardly been helpful. I must remember this wisdom, thank you.
About a week ago I was meditating asking what do I need to "do". The answer I heard was It is not what you "do" it is what you "be". Just be. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with us.
Someone once told me when I was very young as a teen the best way to get rid of a feeling is to let yourself have it roll with it let it pass and then you'll be okay let it you know let it pass and go about your day or your business I don't remember who said it it was a quote out of a magazine or something not exactly sure but remember the best way to get rid of a feeling is to let yourself have it that was a quote that I heard a while ago in my life and I use it all the time now
Thank you Awaken Insight for sharing this 'gentle approach" with others. I believe that the path of least resistance is a peaceful way that I choose to live by. Peace, love and light to all ❤️🙏❤️
I thought about the situation in the simple truth that we become tight, hardened, and compressed with trying hard.... When you relax, enjoy, envision and open yourself up to the possibilities of creating the change that you want...you expand into the process.
@@AwakenInsight Thank you so much for your channel and the energies that you put out into the world. Thought provoking and your kindness and understanding of what is important is always relevant and refreshing. I don't often think about how I feel about my life and how to explain my feelings of being me. It's a fun thing for me to get the opportunity to be able to tell my truth and the way that love has been the power of my life. I am not anyone who is special or a follower of a practice, religion or doctrine. All that I know is loving kindness creates a power that I believe is miraculous and really the best way to be in life. Staying present and open to the moment of being is also my best advice for a life of miracles. I believe in the mystery of the universe.
Oh my, this is such a root of so many problems isn’t it. We have become so disconnected from our spiritual/intuitive selves that we become lost in this process. We as individuals go through our winter, our spring, our fall. Oh my, another ah ha moment....the stronger the soul’s desire for rapid growth the more dramatic these times are. So there is very much a safety net in neutrality.
Yeah, I’ve been practicing the gentler approach for the last couple of years and I can say, it may not appear that you’re making much progress, but you are and even if others can’t see it, you are. And when you realise that, that’s when things start to really happen; on the outside, things really start taking shape and all sorts of crazy things start to happen, like never before. More ‘coincidences’ and honestly, money starts coming at you from all angles, but that’s the least of it. Surrendering takes a long time, or rather it has been that way for me, it’s been a four year journey so far, and honestly, it just gets better. But that doesn’t mean the challenges get less, but the level of joy you experience gets deeper and lasts longer, which makes the challenges almost not challenges and there is still feelings of loss etc but you come to see them all as the tapestry of life, they’re neither good nor bad, they just are, and if we don’t fight them, they don’t persist, they simply have their day and then they’re gone and you’re closer once again to that undeniable feeling of bliss, which helps, when you’re learning to live from the wisdom of a brave and loving heart ❤️
Focus. Observe. Breathe with all of your being. Take it all in. That's all you need to do. It's natural. You're already doing all of these things. There is no need to force yourself to do what you already do instinctively, by existing. Let everything else melt away. Good stuff. Thanks.
Yes! Letting go can be so hard for me in the determination. Determination has a flip side of stubbornness. Softer is a great word that helps this perspective. Thank you!
That's very helpful for all that find themselves in that position, that one point where you have to realise that trying harder isn't gonna do it. I'm happy to have had that experience myself. Thank you for making this video for people to become aware of this struggle 🍀
I found my way to this method through my own trial and error and a lot of introspection. I didn't have a word for it, but I can tell you it works! The mundane can be spiritual. Your relationships with people, with food, with the world around you tell you a lot about where you are and what you need to work on.
I really needed this video, thank you so much! I've been trying so hard to make myself better because I've been telling myself I'm going crazy and I try so hard to figure my existence out. I guess I'll only figure it out if I let it happen naturally and I'm only going crazy cause I'm trying so hard to figure out why I'm going crazy, which is crazy!
Thanks for the good words! It has helped me to stop trying. Growth can never be forced. Growth comes naturally. Grace is free. Spiritual growth is not a thing or a goal. Enlightenment is discovering that I am the observer, not my thoughts and not my story. God is love, and he loves me as I am, not as I should be or will be. Living here and now is enjoying these facts. We can learn a lot from any child. The child has not achieved anything and do not have any intellectual knowledge. The child receives the joy as a gift, and we can do the same.
I appreciate this message. In my life, the key word has been "surrender". To the flow of God's will, to our higher purpose, to the carefully crafted Divine Design for our life. And remembering that *not the goal, but the journey* is the point. That is where we make our choices, meet the self and meet the Divine. Namaste'
I've learned that getting out of my own way is the effortless path that is most fruitful. Be in the now when I remember to be and just be kind to myself. I have a little sister who is 1 year and through her i have learned to look at my own essence as an innocent pure child and that's the beginning of the end of my spiritual struggles.
If we want to stay on top of the water, we don't try to hold on & try hard to grasp the water. We simply let go and relax. The effotlessness that comes from the faith in the water gives this natural assuring which makes us to start enjoying to feeling of floating...
this video alone has helped me so much. lately i’ve been stuck in my own head with lots of anxiety abt the future. today i realized i wanted to do the opposite of what i’ve been doing which was trying to force peace. this video helped me realize i need to stop trying so hard to be peaceful and instead just be

You dont know how much your videos and some advices from all your videos means to us..... Just about this morning i already felt some moment of dissaciation, the feeling of losing your head in crowd, it's overwhelming, yet you here keep reminding me to staying sane out of those weird moments Thank you, you mean very much to us, in times of misery, loneliness and depression, thank you again for just being here ....
Thank you for your insight and wisdom. I find that a lot of the time your words are exactly what I need to hear in the moment. You have a very kind and gentle voice...thank you for sharing it with the world 🤟🏼
This has addressed the issue that I've been thinking on alot lately. As you say, I find the more determined and intensely I invest my thoughts, efforts, meditations, studying, etc. to solve a particular problem I'm having, say emotionally - the more "problem" it becomes! So it's very concerning and scary really when you know something must change for your peace of mind, your own and others well being, relationships, hope for the future, etc. I ran across something Stephen Covey wrote the other day that struck a chord, it was something like, "the mind that sees the problem, is the problem." Einstein said someting simialre like, "you can't solve a problem with the same mentality that is causing it." I probably botched those quotes, but you get the idea. There are so many subtleties to our thinking. like unconsciouis secondary gains we aren't ready to give up, so we see to it that we don't have success in overcoming whatever is providing validity to that secret gain.

Self observation, awareness is a lifetime journey. No one is the same. Observe observe, nothing is irrelevent everything matters. Happiness is a byproduct not the destination. Peace is.
Thank you for your video! I really enjoyed it and totally agree with your message and approach! Definitely going to subscribe! Don't know if such things are possible but when watching your videos I felt an intense peace and stillness radiating from you. I have only felt that before while watching videos of Eckhart Tolle. Looking forward to have a look at your other content
Very glad you're talking about this paradox, thank you. We poor, stubborn Westerners apply as much grit and determination to our spiritual goals as we do to our material ones. Interesting note: Olympians are currently setting personal bests all over the world in parks, empty stadiums, and their own backyards. Why? Because they're not trying so hard to set personal bests! In Corona Time, they are resting more, thinking less, and playing/experimenting rather than training. We can learn from this.
We are on the path as long as it is the present moment, then it is the path. Pushing forward is needless rushing. I am guilty of that of that coping method... perhaps running toward the future and avoiding the present moment. So here we are. If we let go we are here.
Thank you . I'm trying my best every day to do these things . I will continue to do this in a more softer way and be more mindful even if the situation gets heavy for myself .
I loved the 6 year old message just be curious without expectation. Reminded me of a scripture that made a SOFT connection for me. (also just be with that emotion, so important to let go happens automatically when you pay attention to it, how cool is that, no more repressing). Such a soft boulder of a message. Good job.
So true, what you said about exploring out of a kind of curiosity. i tried exploring my shadow and it was terrible but then when i stopped resisting it i feel like laughing out loud, it's so empowering!
Brother! I just found you about an hour ago.....You speak to my soul, I don’t usually put labels on myself but I would share with you, I’m an Introvert/Empath, so my life has been filled with pain from observing the world around me and how powerless I feel from not being able to do anything about it.....Thanks for sharing👏🏾
I have been following a meandering and intuitive path since first opening my mind to spiritual beliefs and every time I see someone drilling into people "you have to study! Research this extensive list I've compiled" I feel so sad for those who will listen and make their spiritual awakening into a chore or homework. This path is about finding my own peace and joy and if that needs to happen slowly then I'm okay with that.
I found this helps with just life also. Like a person that is talking about something you find boring, if you say nothing they will shut up. Saying nothing starves the thoughts.
Meditation does this for me without trying. The longer you meditate the easier life gets. It about overcoming yourself. Sometimes it’s extremely difficult to overcome the self. You right about letting go though
Greetings, your approach reminds of the time I quit smoking. It was not an active quitting. There was a time of transition before actually stopping, I observed myself finding less pleasure smoking. So other activities took over naturally and after a while there was absolutely zero effort involved, because there was nothing to resist. I knew there was nothing to find in smoking for me anymore. I really enjoyed listening. Thank you very much
i really like your recommended approach. Just relax into it (the stress or problem) and let it BE. It will go away in a little while. Thank you for sharing. God Bless.
Yes, one gets the same sensation from this information as they do when they realize that thought energy itself is feather light. The entire Creation is dimensions of thought energy vibrating at differing frequencies. The entire Creation is thus, feather light. It is especially helpful to be aware of this when going into meditation. There are no thoughts to wrestle away.....They are all feather light. They go. The" I" remains. What one desires for example, has already been created and drifts feather light in the dimension of thought. When we think about it, our awareness is already with it. One need only lay back upon the currents of the river and keep the softness of being with that thing now, in their mind. The river, feather light, will take you there. What is there to do when you can BE present NOW with longings of the heart? Desire is a weight. When it is fulfilled, it is the weight of desire itself falling away that is the greatest part of our relief. I enjoyed your video. Thank you. Namaste. 🕊 💜 🕊
I tried so hard and got so far. But in the end, I tried a little softer

Same!
The universes brought me here. Just what I needed at my current state. Thanks
I cried while watching this. I am grateful that your video found me.
About a week ago I was meditating asking what do I need to "do". The answer I heard was It is not what you "do" it is what you "be". Just be. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with us.
Someone once told me when I was very young as a teen the best way to get rid of a feeling is to let yourself have it roll with it let it pass and then you'll be okay let it you know let it pass and go about your day or your business I don't remember who said it it was a quote out of a magazine or something not exactly sure but remember the best way to get rid of a feeling is to let yourself have it that was a quote that I heard a while ago in my life and I use it all the time now
your soft speaking is such a calming act, thank you for your words!
That’s me, trying too hard ... thanks for your enlightenment . Much love everyone...
What a beautiful way of explaining it. Thank you for sharing.
@@AwakenInsight Is there a specific spiritual path you follow like Hinduism or Taoism, or are you following your own personal path?
Contraction ~ Relax
Inhale~ exhale
All very natural when it’s time
Oh my, this is such a root of so many problems isn’t it.
I've never thought of it this way. What a revelation.
Focus.
When you feel the right energy, sometimes you just hit subscribe before a word has even been spoken ♥️ I needed this. Thank you!
This is so true and I totally agree. When we take things easier and are playful as a child many problems can be solved by themselves.
Thank you so very much ! Please don’t stop teaching us out here , we all need this !
I appreciate this message. In my life, the key word has been "surrender". To the flow of God's will, to our higher purpose, to the carefully crafted Divine Design for our life. And remembering that *not the goal, but the journey* is the point. That is where we make our choices, meet the self and meet the Divine. Namaste'
A Masterful,Beautiful And Gracious presentation! Thank You! You Are The Face And voice Of Peace and Harmony!
The effotlessness that comes from the faith in the water gives this natural assuring which makes us to start enjoying to feeling of floating...
this video alone has helped me so much. lately i’ve been stuck in my own head with lots of anxiety abt the future. today i realized i wanted to do the opposite of what i’ve been doing which was trying to force peace. this video helped me realize i need to stop trying so hard to be peaceful and instead just be
I'm so happy I found your chanel a few weeks ago. For me every video so far has been a mix of reminders, affirmations, new ideas and challenging my view just enought to shift in a slow and balanced way. Thank you for sharing
divine timing. the universe gave me this gift, of you saying exactly what i needed to hear atm. thank you for your soft trying effort my friend. 🙏🏻
I prayed for a specific example of that fine line between forcing and and letting go and this is definitely a solid answer. Thank you.. I will try softer.
Wonderful confirmation & direction! Thank you.
You dont know how much your videos and some advices from all your videos means to us.....
Just about this morning i already felt some moment of dissaciation, the feeling of losing your head in crowd, it's overwhelming, yet you here keep reminding me to staying sane out of those weird moments
Thank you, you mean very much to us, in times of misery, loneliness and depression, thank you again for just being here ....
This was a very beautiful thing to listen to, thank you ✨
This message is such a blessing
You have no idea how much I needed to hear your wise words this morning. I thank you. 🙏💜
Whole body unwinded easily and effortlessly.
Thank you.
Wow! I needed to hear you chat about this! 🌺🌺🌺 I've always blamed my Adhd for not being able to quiet my mind. Now I know I am trying too hard. I am so glad I found this amazing channel. Many smiles and huge thanks from Laura in Australia. X 🖖🌹😁😍 love and light to all 💙💚💛
I've been thinking like this for a very long time. I'm happy to see that other people agree. Balance people balance!! cruise through the simulation.
Self observation, awareness is a lifetime journey. No one is the same. Observe observe, nothing is irrelevent everything matters. Happiness is a byproduct not the destination. Peace is.
this video is pure gold, so much truth in it
Thank you for this. Sometimes I feel like I'm failing all the time.
Thank you! It feels so good to just relax, accept and flow with the experience of being everything we are.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, you serve mankind in a special way
Thank you for your video!
Wow, you are a wonderful soul for sharing such a wonderful video to others who are curious in taking their mind to the next level.
Thanks for uploading this video. I like the way that you present your ideas. It's very calming.
WOW great advice! That helps so much. Thank you. Love and light to you 🙏
Very glad you're talking about this paradox, thank you.
Your messages seem like reminders that awaken the soul. Thank you for sharing. Love and light from Germany.
Thank you . I'm trying my best every day to do these things . I will continue to do this in a more softer way and be more mindful even if the situation gets heavy for myself .
Beautiful soul, this is so helpful to me at this moment. Thank you!
I find Extremely valuable all these ways and l hope to find the light after this big tunnel... faith is also a very big one
Beautifully conceptualised - i'm about to share it with my my mum! Thank you!
Divinely timed!!!! Thank you for your clear interpretation/approach that is so helpful for me NOW❤️❤️
Thank you for your wisdom and gentle guidance. 🙏💕
I loved the 6 year old message just be curious without expectation. Reminded me of a scripture that made a SOFT connection for me. (also just be with that emotion, so important to let go happens automatically when you pay attention to it, how cool is that, no more repressing). Such a soft boulder of a message. Good job.
I can hear the love in your words. Beautiful.
So true, what you said about exploring out of a kind of curiosity. i tried exploring my shadow and it was terrible but then when i stopped resisting it i feel like laughing out loud, it's so empowering!
Thank you for this beautiful piece of advice.
Thank you so much for this gentle reminder. Big exhale and relaxation with this message 🌸
i sometimes get jealous of spiritual teachers, like they have what i want so much. thank you for this advice, it helps my mindset
When it is safe to be soft.....soft we shall be ❤️
Good day to you, I truly enjoy your lectures, peaceful and easy with lots of wisdom. Thank you very much for your thoughts.
thank you so much💗i needed this so much rn. love and light your way🤗😊
Even while you were talking I was thinking about "trying to be gentler". Thank you for this!
Thank you very much
What a wonderful example you've offered here. Thank you for sharing your story. Wishing you well, always and in all ways
@@AwakenInsight you're welcome. I hope it will be of service to anyone resonating. Best wishes to you.
i really like your recommended approach. Just relax into it (the stress or problem) and let it BE. It will go away in a little while. Thank you for sharing. God Bless.
I just recently came across one of your articles which then brought me to your RUclips channel and I’m so glad I found you! Thank you for sharing
Thank you. Namaste. 🕊 💜 🕊
Always look forward to your readings Carrie. Again you told me what I needed. Synchronicity perfect THANK YOU .
Thank you for sharing this message brother, I love you from the depth of my heart
