  • We left the NORTENT Gamme 4 alone in the wilderness for 9 months, from August to May, to see how we could make a great tent even better. A hunting camera took a picture every day with a total of about 270 picture (give or take).

Brilliant experimental Kjetil. This showed great patience and dedication to your craft. Looks like a beautiful place too. I would have been interested to see a follow-up regarding how the tent materials had coped. King regards David.

Thank you, Nortent. This 9-month testing video proved to me all I need to know, which in turn made me decide on your New Vern 1 and 2.

Amazing video Kjetil. The Gamme 4 is my favourite "expedition" shelter. It's a strong, safe, easy to deploy shelter, protecting us from exposure in any weather.

Good to see such a serious test. Gamme 4 has a great design overall. The only thing I am perplexed about is the 40D ripstop Nylon you use. This is an excellent light material but, in the case of an expedition tent with such form and dimensions, the tear strenght of the 70D nylon (25 Kg versus the 18 Kg of 40D nylon) could make the difference in harsh weather conditions. The weight would increase of about 22 gr/square meter and this would be tolerable considering that Gamme 4 is a base camp tent. You could think about a ligher version (40D) and sturdiest one (70D) so to leave the choice to your clients. Other important aspects you could consider are: fire resistance treatment and - for a military professional use - infra red remissivity. Think about a stealth version in a flat greenish/brownish colour which would be appreciated by the most serious prepared civilians. Nortent gamme 4 will certainly one of my next purchases.

Brilliant idea to do this and show the build quality and reliability. I've only just discovered your brand and I've had over 175 tents and reviewed many online on my channel. I've just just started hot tenting this season and the Gamme 4 looks to be the Hilleberg of hot tents. I hope to try and film one some time soon. Keep up the great designs! Andrew

Best advertisement for a tent I have ever seen.
For the average person that's going to be a lifetime of use.
This is on my short list for a hot tent, was supposed to be for 2020 but works events messed that up completely.
Any doubts I had about the poles or fabric have gone having watched this.

Now THAT’s a real test. I love the design, it reminds me of my Jerven Igloo tent.
Some day I’d love to try it out for myself.

Was curious about the snow load but that never happened. Can it withstand 4 foot of snow on top or will it shed maybe?
