    Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! It is great to hear positive & realistic. Is organic chemistry required for PA school?

    I am retired military and strongly considering PA school here in Texas. I earned an MBA while in the Army in 2009.

    Great video! I’m almost done with my pre- require science courses, hopping to apply soon. I have an odd question. Did you have your dog during PA school? I don’t know if I should look for someone to take care of my dog for 2 years or bring her along for the ride. 🤨

      Hi Arely, that’s a GREAT question! Honestly, I think your pup can provide much needed support during some tough days! 😉 I didn’t have Wolfie during PA school, but would go to my mom’s house on the weekends to be with the family dog. That being said, you may have some long days at the hospital or even studying in school so it would help to have someone (like a roommate or family member) if you can to help. Best of luck! ❤️

    would you recommend doing a five year program right out of high school? would there be a set back if you don’t have many patient care hours because it is straight out of high school?

    Hi! Just wanted to say that I love your videos! Did you take any gap years before applying to PA School? And how many PCE hours did you obtain before applying?

    • @LauraCoralPAC
      @LauraCoralPAC  3 года назад +2

      Thanks so much! I did take 3 years between my bachelors and PA School. I had about 2000 hours of PCE. I’ll also be posting a video on my journey to PA school soon!

    As far as the coursework, what does a typical week as a student look like? Do you have very little time to learn new topics?

    • @LauraCoralPAC
      @LauraCoralPAC  2 года назад +1

      The week is pretty busy. Class is everyday 8-4pm or so. You’ll have to study on your own as well, but you can certainly fit a bit of free time to do something for you.

    Sorry another quick question, I heard about the renaming of PA to physician associate.. Do you know when this will take place? I really think it is a shame to name PAs assistants! Perhaps medical or clinical practitioner would be more appropriate

    I had a doubt, how to fund your food and rent during the course duration as obviously you can't work in this tight schedule.

      I fear of this myself! PA school is so competitive but I want it so bad. I can't help but think of not working during this time frame but may have no choice.

      This is not my area of expertise, but I do know you have to be accredited in the United States to work as a PA.

    I've been an MA for 3 years and every provider I've been assigned to has told me I need to go further. My current provider does not want me to go for RN, she thinks I'm too smart and I must be a MD or PA. I guess I'm just looking for advice and motivation because I'm scared that I'm not smart enough to do it.. I am not a great student.

    • @LauraCoralPAC
      @LauraCoralPAC  9 месяцев назад

      You can do your bachelors in many majors, you need to meet the pre-requisites of each program before you can start. I did mine and Biology and Biotechnology. Hope that helps!
