Psychedelics as medicine to treat mental health disease has had a recent resurgence of attention and dedicated research, with encouraging results. Could this class of drugs serve as a paradigm shift in the way mindfulness therapy and mental health is approached? Compounds like LSD, DMT, psilocybin, and MDMA are investigated as treatments for states of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction. Listeners are challenged to question their preconceived notions and judgements as it pertains to this group of restricted therapeutics in the psychedelic class. Burton J. Tabaac, MD FAHA
Burton is an associate professor of neurology at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, dedicated to the cutting-edge treatment and prevention of cerebrovascular diseases. He is a graduate of the fellowship program in vascular neurology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD (2019). After graduating from AUC School of Medicine, where he earned his MD (2014), Tabaac completed a neurology residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ. There, he was humbled to have been selected as a three-time recipient of The Arnold P. Gold Foundation’s Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award (2016, 2017, and 2018). I'm insanely lucky to have Dr. Tabaac as my neurologist and feel hopeful about the future of my mental health for the first time in my life.

I’ve been microdosing on the batch of mushrooms I got from one guy online for the last few months for depression and the results have been immeasurable. The world has beauty again whereas before it was grey and painful.
Psychedelics definitely have the potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it’s just so hard to source here, I hope you can help out!!!!

Mushrooms work well for some people, but they don’t work for me. I tried all kinds and also the philosophers stones and I felt a little bit of effects but LSD was WAAAAAAAY better and more effective by so many orders of magnitude it’s unreal. Both psilocybin and LSD come from fungus which is weird. 😂 But yeah, of the 3 Ayahuasca, LSD, and psilocybin, my rankings are:
1 Ayahuasca. Absolutely no comparison in changing your most foundational ideas and liberating inner creativity. Cures depression. Completely.
2 LSD If I had to choose one and never take the others I would without hesitation say LSD. It literally opens up your eyes to the deep connection between all things and once seen, like an initiation into the Elysian mystery, cannot be unseen. It’s an absolute clean, perfect, beautiful experience. Ayahuasca may be much stranger, dirtier, and “out there” but LSD feels like the most natural and clean of the three. It changes your life in ways that you don’t immediately see, but in retrospect you see the miracle and magic of it. No comparison to the other two for me, it’s not even in question. I believe in god not so
Much because LSD gave me a vision, l don’t normally even hallucinate on it, but because it exists, is so tiny in dosage like the infinitesimal beginning of the universe, and expands in you like the universe did to give rise eventually to YOU. The fact that it exists is such a miracle. It’s like I know there is a god or consciousness behind everything that must want us to progress in our lives and be happy-same reason kittens and puppies ❤😊 For me personally this is the elixir.
3 Psilocybin-mostly from other people’s reports because I ate beyond heroic doses, several strains, grew my own, even tried truffles. No effect-just seemed to make how I normally am a bit more intense. Made me feel like maybe I actually am an alien🤔 which I have suspected all my life because I’m weird, as high in openness as is humanly possible, and in upper 1% of IQ. Like every time I look into a field of inquiry, I predict it years in advance, talk with people and launch careers…. Ruin careers by accident (truth is more important!!). I’m sorta like “Rain Man” only with concepts instead of toothpicks. I used to think super smart people were being selfish a-holes, because I figured that they could do approximately what I do, but they literally can’t. It was hard for me to accept that 😢 because it meant also that there’s no place for me in the world, even though I can offer miracles. I live on the street with the kitties and squirrels, etc. Homeless for 5 years now. So these are my assessments. Other brains and their particular chemistry may differ 😂😊❤
