It's to make them balanced. I mean think about it. If you have the Wazer Wifle (a laser rifle you can get from an unnamed NPC for those who haven't played Fo4 and don't want spoilers) which has the legendary never-ending effect and it's converted to an automatic, then without recoil, you could literally just hold down the shoot button and varying amounts of damage can happen (depending on mods and perks). That would be overpowered.
Bethesda loves making things weight what they shouldn’t. Those are probably 12 gauge shells so they by definition weigh 12 per pound. And didn’t Bobby pins weigh like 0.5 pounds each in ‘76?
I love how the 38 ammo sales basically 1 to 1 so if you have a hundred pieces you can sell it for a hundred caps and it's so plentiful that you can basically clean out a shop if you know what you're doing
Oh yeah .38 ammo is as good as money in the game and it is way more plentiful than caps. If I'm playing difficulty where ammo has no weight I always pick up .38 rounds.
1:08 I found an explosive 10mm once, it is way better than a wounding one even without perk investment in Demolition Expert. The only real problem with explosive affix is that moment you fight hordes of ghouls in CQC on very hard or survival without a decent non-suicidal extra weapon with you.
@@Dremeli Yeah, especially since Demolition Expert doesn't just increase the damage of any explosive damage you deal, it also increases the explosion radius at one of the later ranks, so the distance between you and an enemy has to be bigger as well.
@@Vidhur _very_ dangerous especially with explosive combat shotgun. I got it last time I played in survival mode and had to use it very carefully. Radium almost feels like a cheat against humans, there's one with an additional +100 rad dmg thats insane. The rest, well, by the time you get them you might want to start looking into heavy and exposive weapons. Overseer is good, but it kicks like a mule, so you're pretty limited to bursts.
I'm gonna make a build that uses only automatic weapons, definitely gonna try out the overseers guardian and see how good it is. Though if you slap on a supressor + steady aim perk you could just get the kiloton rifle/spray n pray and that should be quite a bit better
@@Berlinbower Automatic weapons are meta for standard builds. Some one shot sneak crits can be better, but thats niche. Spray n pray is amazing at a distance, but in close quarters you'll take too much dmg yourself. Happy Fallouting!
Great vid big G
+ the kiloton radium rifle is dirt cheap
I got a combat shotgun with the wounding effect and i took a sentry bot down in a few shots
Ten railroad spikes weighs two pounds? One spike on its own weighs more than that in real life. Those things are solid steel.
my irradiated plasma rifle: ._.
Best automatic guns Fallout 4: lists 90% of the guns that can be made automatic.
That's some quality content there...
User that’s more Bethesda’s fault honestly
I was playing fallout 4 a while ago and go a legendary 10 mm called the "Mighty 10 mm pistol" which had a 25% damage buff and what is the first thing I did whit it? Well... I slapped an advanced receiver on it, you know for good measure
I have over 60.000 shots of the 38. caliber, I just want to get rid of them...
Not really a fan of automatics bc the damage is greatly reduced. Like the 10mm with an advanced reciever does 37 while the powerful automatic does 22
Is my ammunition supposed to weigh something?
Or is that mechanic not in the GOTY edition?
its only in the survival difficulty
