I wish I had found this video before I launched my first book, I found it confusing and wasn't sure of a lot of things. Your video explained everything you need to know. Great video.
Maybe worth pointing out, I'm not sure if things have changed but if it is your first book then you don't get an author page. You need to enter an author name and then once it has been published you can create an author page. It is telling me that I can not create an author page until I have published at least 1 book on amazon kdp. Thanks for all your content!
I'm just a few clicks away from going live over the next couple of days. Your video has helped me so much. Something you might find interesting, in Canada ISBN's are provided by the government at no cost. I'm assuming it's to encourage entrepreneurial efforts? So that's quite a huge saving. Again, thanks for your thorough and uncomplicated format for sharing information,.
this was a tremendous help for a first timer. i have the formatted PDF of the interior of the book and a separate formatted PDF of the cover but don't understand how the back cover is created
The front, spine and back cover should be in the one single pdf file. Go to kdp cover calculator to get the correct size for your full paperback front/back cover :)
Thank you so very much for this. I really appreciated your tutorial. I have one question I hope you might be able to help me with. What about the calculations on the manuscript itself? Margin, top, bottom, sides plus the first few pages that I seem to recall needs to look a certain way? Really hope you see this. Many greetings from DK
I watch a lot of these videos by different people because I want to obtain as much knowledge and hints as I can before I venture to try this I couldn’t help but notice that on one of Hannah Ebling’s videos on doing KDP books you said she should stop selling these notions that people can make that much money in low content books. What do you think a person can realistically expect if they are reasonably creative ? I enjoyed your video also if I could just figure out how to get all the art and content into KDP😅
Thanks for coming and checking the channel out! One of my videos in particular on this was really well received where I review exactly how much money I made from my first 20 coloring books. That's SUCH a more honest look, although some of mine since then have done better than those :). With low content I've never managed to get any of them selling organically, so I focus on medium content books.
Hi, thanks for your videos and useful information. I have a question if you could please answer that for me. I have an account on Amazon which I use for shopping. Will that be the same account if I have to publish a book with KDP? Or KDP account should have different login details? Thank you very much.
I think you can use your same account, but if you created a new account specifically for kdp I think that's ok too. Go to kdp.amazon.com and it'll let you know next steps :)
Thanks Andy, its a little out of date now with older AI (so some imperfections), but here it is if you still want to check it out www.amazon.com/Dinosaurs-Space-Coloring-Adults-Dinosaur/dp/B0BMDPG8P9/
I’ve not tried any landscape settings myself. I have read that 8.5 inches is the widest a book can be set to due to the print on demand set up? So you could try say a 8.5x6 to see if that works? Square has worked for me, if that would be any use?
Generally I wouldn't worry about that, unless it's a rights issue. If it's a rights issue this is how you do it "If you don't hold worldwide rights to sell and distribute your title, choose Individual territories. Then, indicate the territories in which you hold rights. This will limit sales of your publication to the selected territories only."
New to KDP and this was exactly what I was looking for. Love your videos, please continue to provide straight forward no BS content. Thank you!! 🙏🏾
Thanks Gary, good luck with your publishing!
Very informative and straightforward. We need more of this
More coming soon!
Thank You so much for this video. I didn't know anything about online publishing. You really helped me!
Geting ready to write my first book and this was very helpful!
Mate! Thanks so much for going through the process. You have answered so many of my questions. 👍
Great to hear :)
this step by step is so clear and informative. thank you

That’s so cool! Thanks for the heads up on that as well so I can let fellow Canadians know in the future :). Good luck with going live!
Excellent video full of information to clarify how KPD works.
This presentation is really cool. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Thank you, really useful

No problem glad it was helpful! Check out my how to format your book video :). Good luck!
@@selfpublishingempire Thank you so much❤
No worries :)
❤ When formatting my pages do they also need to be the same side as my cover with the extended area of .0125?
Check out my formatting video!

@@selfpublishingempire Thank you very much for your response. I will have a look at that. Regards
If you want to publish both an ebook and a physical book on Amazon, do you recommend starting with the ebook first or the physical? Or does it matter?
No doesn't matter :)
Very very helpful. Danke.
❤ Do I need to include a copyyright page?
Completely up to you!
I could not find the Dinosaurs in Space book. I'd love to buy it. Can you please send me the direct link? Thanks.
Thanks Andy, its a little out of date now with older AI (so some imperfections), but here it is if you still want to check it out www.amazon.com/Dinosaurs-Space-Coloring-Adults-Dinosaur/dp/B0BMDPG8P9/
For low content books which market is ideal to use?
It doesn't really matter. I always go US as it has the biggest marketplace.
Thank you very much.
You are welcome!
It looks like I cannot create a landscape book on Amazon KDP. Do you have any information on that? Thank you.
I’ve not tried any landscape settings myself. I have read that 8.5 inches is the widest a book can be set to due to the print on demand set up? So you could try say a 8.5x6 to see if that works? Square has worked for me, if that would be any use?
❤Great video! Is there anyway to limit where my book is sold? It is written for an American audience outside of that it is pretty useless
Where do I choose the amount of pages (150 of the same page back and front) for a notebook?
You make the pages in the manuscript - as many as you wish.
@@selfpublishingempire Thank you, I figured it out eventually and now is live thanks to your guiding video. Much Appreciated!
My personal account got terminated but I have an Ltd and opened a business account under the company I read that’s ok?
❤ Can I write my book in two languages and sell them on KDP?
Yes, I'd do the biggest market first and then publish a different language version in the future.
On setting up an account if i have a HMRC U.T.R number would i use that instead of the N.I Number or is the N.I Number better? Thanks :)
Could be either
When trying to enter my bank details it asks for a B2B number. Do you know what this is?
Not sure, sorry!
What is the link to this / the website name
Hey! If it’s my new website, it’s at publishwithme.com!
I am unclear with this part- Can you buy your own ISBN number and still publish on Amazon KDP? Thanks for sharing this BTW!
You can yeah :)
And you need to make this decision since it’s considered a final decision ? No take backs? Haha
