For colors, I think they need 3 sliders. Hue, value, and saturation. That would help a lot with the grays. Right now they just kinda have hue and value, and if you pick a hue, you have to start over to get back to gray. That's annoying. And of course, more marking options for calicos, torties, ext.

I think the reason they have it as what it is right now is because it might be easier for children to understand the 2 sliders than 3 (since children are probably mostly the target demographic for this cat maker game) but I totally agree and I think that 3 sliders would be much better for making actual cats with.
The problem with the lack of marking variation is the only markings and options they have available are ones from the characters they've released so far: Firestar, Tigerstar, Leafstar, Tawnypelt, Greystripe, and Jayfeather. Of these, four (technically five) of the mini designs are tabbies, and Tawnypelt's design is.. passable as a tortoiseshell but still weird. As for the colors, it would be great if they added a saturation slider, which would fix the problem with the greys and browns
Yeah I think Tawnypelt is supposed to be a torbie (tabby tortoiseshell), which makes sense because both Tigerstar and Brambleclaw are tabbies. So basically all the figures so far are tabbies lol. They should add more options to the maker tho
They need an option for your cat to reside in the Dark Forset. But it would be cool seeing people trying to make their government assigned OC in the maker

Honestly the lack of calico is baffling because out of all the cat breeds out there calicos have to be the MOST popular type of cat OCs out there. Maybe only being tied with tabby.
I'm hoping the lack of options is just because it's new and they were getting a feel for what people want added. There is no other excuse for the lack of creativity. The Erins know how artistically talented their fans are and to give so few options for the OFFICAL warrior cats CatMaker when a nonofficial one can do so much better is inexcusable. Hopefully they'll add more detail and options.
Now there are _some_ more options! There seems to be more poses, a saturation slider (which is great for cats like Blueriver, or if you just clicked the hue picker but wanted a gray cat), possibly at least 1 more option for some things, like eyes (though there seem to be some that might not fit the vibe...) and accessories, as well as a pure white background! Kestrelflight still doesn't come out great because of the lack of tortoiseshell options, but Frozenpaw, Blueriver and maybe Stonepaw at least look more recognizable, as you have more color options (and maybe tabby options too?) ...though Blueriver might kinda look like Graystripe
I'm hoping as they make more figures they'll add other options to this. Currently as far as I can tell these options are just the ones from the 6 current figures + some mirrors for some off the scars which would be pretty easy to put in. I'm kinda hopeful we might because off the arrows that really don't seem to serve a purpose on several tabs.
Also I don't personally think Crowfeather was off. I don't really know what you expected a pure black cat to look like if not that? It's a base in a chibi format you're not gonna get a specific body type with that.
I feel like the people who created this didn't care about quality; they just wanted to use it as advertising to get more people to buy the warrior cat toy/decoration-things
honestly i think they just made it for kids. like.. yall seem to forget that this is a kids book series, n kids will have an absolute banging time using this generator, no matter how limiting it might seem to the older audience

i was really disappointed with the lack of options and creativity in this maker. it just kind of seems lazy in comparison to the fanmade WC oc creators on picrew and scratch. also the interface isn't the best. i hope this game gets updated more in the future. i would love to see more official minigames like this.

Going off of the feedback link and the little "beta" tag at the end of the mini maker, I'm assuming that they do plan on adding more to this in the future as they receive feedback on it and/or release more figures with their own unique markings that they can implement. Which would explain the arrows; They'll actually be able to scroll along once more customization options are added.

The only thing I see this being used for if one: some can't draw, but wants a comm for there oc. Or two: someone has a idea, and doesn't feel like drawing it so uses this to see if they like the idea for said oc
There is an app that I use for oc design called Avatar Maker: Cats 2 It allows for a little bit better customization, but then lacks things such as a proper hue slider, and eye dropper to match body part colors, and the ability to remove body parts because one of my OC’s has only 3 legs. (This part might also be me just being picky) but I also kind of wish there were actual poses in the app but there’s not.

They actually updated the mini cat maker thing since this video! At least from what I've seen, they have like more colour options and a new background option, but overall it's the same. ^^
There used to be a Warrior Cat maker mini app on Play Store, which as far as I can remember it was meant as part of a game in development. I was impressed at how good it was, though you could only design realistic cats but in 3D models with animated samples like running, hissing, clawing. I think it was a beta version for the final editor in the game for PC (I'm sure it's for PC)? The site was in Russian and I didn't review the site in time before the app was removed. I also don't understand Russian. I only got what was in the English description

I think that it needs more shape options, like short legs, no tail, small muzzle. Also more markings.

I realized that you had been in an episode of Mouse-brained and then I looked at my for-you page and mouse-brained was RIGHT THERE.
They actually updated the mini cat maker thing since this video! At least from what I've seen, they have like more colour options and a new background option, but overall it's the same. ^^

There used to be a Warrior Cat maker mini app on Play Store, which as far as I can remember it was meant as part of a game in development. I was impressed at how good it was, though you could only design realistic cats but in 3D models with animated samples like running, hissing, clawing. I think it was a beta version for the final editor in the game for PC (I'm sure it's for PC)? The site was in Russian and I didn't review the site in time before the app was removed. I also don't understand Russian. I only got what was in the English description
I’m sure they’ll make updates for this if more people make demands for changes (ex. More color options and patterns).
i suggest a game called Avatar maker: cats it has a lot of diffrent option's. and i would like to see you try it. its free on Play store. like if you agree.
Oh yeah,i played around with the second version some years ago,it was a thousand times better than this,it had quite more customazation options
