I like the idea of shifting around the point of view in each of the books between the various travelling cats. It opens up a lot of opportunity to explore the characters more and make their relationships the center of the narrative. (I mean, their relationships besides just Feathertail and Crowpaw's thing and Stormfur's unsubtle crush on Squirrelpaw.) It was interesting to get a point of view outside of Thunderclan from Stormfur in Moonrise and the books really could have benefited from making that point of view swapping a formula instead of a one-off to make Feathertail's death more tragisad. I also like your point about saving Brambleclaw until the end strengthening the will-he-won't-he aspect of his legacy with Tigerstar. And can I just say that using Mothwing's point of view in Moonrise instead of Leafpools is INSPIRED? One of the biggest tragedies about New Prophecy is how underdeveloped and underwhelming Hawkfrost is as a villain. None of the central characters have anything to do with him directly until the second to last book, and then he doesn't actually do anything antagonistic until the very end. He's a criminal waste of a good character, and fleshing him out by making the storyline where he manipulates Mothwing's destiny for his own gain the focus of Moonrise instead of a subplot Leafpool learns about secondhand would go a long way towards making his threat feel more palpable.

I love how Brambleclaw becomes close to Hawkfrost and says that it's because they're half brothers, but he doesn't try becoming close to his half sister Mothwing. XD
It's such a pretty, inspired design. A good mix of Tigerstar's dark tabby and Goldenflower's colors instead of being the black and orange tortoiseshell the book art has her as (not like we already have tons of those).
Brambleclaw’s “the clans gotta stick together” attitude you had him voice at the end also makes for a good setup for his super edition, too. It makes that mindset seem more like an idea he held this whole time rather than a “I have to behave EXACTLY like Firestar” robot.
I feel like the "I have to behave exactly like Firestar" added a layer of depth to his character, even before he became leader. Because he's often feared for being Tigerstar's son, him looking up to the leader of his Clan and the chosen one makes sense. If he's more like Firestar, maybe the others will like him. And when he becomes leader, Firestar has set ridiculously high standards that he now feels like he must follow. I feel like this is a nice conflict that adds depth to him.

Am I the only one who just wants to see a re-written *New Prophecy* arc/ *Power of Three* and *Omen of the Stars* done by Tenelle? Also, loving those character designs. I never pictured Stormfur to look so much like Graystripe (for some reason) and ugh, they look so good
Eh, I think Power of Three should stay the same for the most part. That series is more of a gigantic character piece over an actual large expansive story. I would say maybe give more hints to the whole Ashfur betrayal and Hollyleaf turning out to be the murderer twist a little better, but for the most part, I wouldn’t change a lot. Omen of the Stars I would do a little more of Tennele’s ideas because holy cow, I love a lot of them, and most of it wouldn’t require too much reworking. Just, well, a more cohesive story and theme. That’s at least my take on it. I’m also the guy who’s sort of fine with the books in their current state, but if I could, that’s probably what I would do.

Honestly The New Prophecy is by amongst the most forgettable arcs in the Warriors series, but honestly if it were to be written this way... It might have surpassed The Prophecy Begins in terms of quality and establishment of the characters and the overall environment of the clans. Honestly I wish the Erins had switched the point of views in these books so badly, and that they would've done it in the arcs past TNP, if the writing did allow it after this established the other clans a bit. Part of why I liked many of the Super Editions (ESPECIALLY Crookedstar's Promise and Tallstar's Revenge) was that it gave insight into the other clans, how they lived their lives as well as these characters that we came to know from an outsider's perspective.
Exactly! TNP written like this not only works much better, but it also opens the door for more POVs to be in other clans, which is especially important when that clan is the center of the plot! I’ve also never read any of the super editions, so it’d be nice to know what’s happening without having to go back and read a separate book to understand the whole picture! I also love the idea of everyone questioning if Brambleclaw is evil or not in the final book. This really reminds me that the Erins aren’t as good of writers as they’re sometimes made out to be…
Gosh yes gimme that Mothwing POV In general, these changes make a lot of sense to me! It feels like the story could benefit a lot from these, although I have one question... how would the relationship between Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost be established? If neither of them have a book before Sunset, how will Brambleclaw's choice to kill his brother impact the reader? Even if there'd be scenes that show them as good friends from other characters' perspective I don't think that would still be enough. (Although this is a thing that the actual books could have put more emphasis on as well...)
I think the development of their relationship could be handled well in one book, at least get it to the point where it has a similar emotional impact as the actual books, if not even stronger, bc the main focus of the book would be about their relationship.
Oh, alright! If you'd be going about it that way would that mean you'd have to change the prologue of Hawkfrost and Tigerstar discussing the Brambleclaw problem or would the reader already know that Hawkfrost is bad by now from Moonrise and/or Starlight? Maybe that *would be* a bit more interesting than just slapping the truth about Hawkfrost in the reader's face in the prologue...
I loved your take on Sunset ! The idea of Brambleclaw being all mysterious for the arc and leaving the audience wondering if he’s ~evil~ or not, then opening the book to find out he’s been training in the dark forest is just. So good.
Im so happy you mention Dawn, It was my favorite out of the new prophecy, and seeing it from shadowclans perspective would be so interesting as the two legs have a direct destruction relating to their camp. the rewrites would also make crowfeather almost killing himself have a stronger impact on the reader. Tawnypelt could even witness Shrewpaw getting hit by the car while chasing the pheasant, this could lead to a shadowclan cat catching the pheasant and the moral delema of what would be normal border skirmish material (Clan A chasing prey into Clan B) have more weight to it, as it signifies the end of the mundane day to day life. Also any reasons to show more of blackstar is a plus in my books. I am a fan of moral ambiguity and your proposed rewrite has so many opportunities for it.
This sounds fantastic, Tenelle! I really like the idea of reading POVs from all four clans to really emphasize the theme of unity. It wouldn't make sense to tell most of the story of Thunderclan (although, in my heart, they're still my favorite, lol.) I never considered Crowfeather playing a larger part in this story, but laid out like that, I think I would have liked that better too. And I know you didn't want to make too many major changes here, but honestly, I'm always up for hearing other people's idea for RADICAL plot rewrites and head canons. :D Plus that end scene made me unexpectedly emotional. Great job on the script! I'm excited to see more!
I wish it had POVs from each clan. It didn’t make sense to me when it had Brambleclaw’s and Squirrelflight’s POV and then one book about Stormfur and a chapter of Feathertail.

I completely agree with all of your points! The changes are so minor when it comes to the plot, but you explained how a simple shift in perspective could have brought so much more to this series so thoroughly and so well. Making Crowpaw the first book's POV was unexpected, but it makes so much sense, and I agree with you about how billing this book as the first in a new set means that it should be able to better stand alone from the first arc. I think I would have been able to accept the second half of this arc WAY better if it had been written this way.
Really the only big thing that happens with Tawnypelt is the rat bite, I personally wish that Crowpaw and Tawnypelt were the big characters so that we could get to know them both better, because we only know Tawnypelt as the sister of Brambleclaw, and the daughter of Tigerstar and Goldenflower who went to Shadowclan as an apprentice, and then Crowpaw is just plain a new character,Thunderclan has gotten plenty of books so it would be nice to have some cats from other clans as the main characters, I agree with everything you say and I totally agree with the Mothwing and Leafpool part!
I agree with you - personally, I wished that the New Prophecy was predominantly Tawnypelt's story (and now I've been swayed to also have wished it closely following Crowpaw/feather, too.) It would have been nice to flesh out her decisions from the previous series, maybe if she regretted leaving her mother and brother, but also what her relationship with her father was like, since that never really seems to come up.
I always loved Feathertail in these books when I was younger, probably because Silverstream was one of my favorite characters and I was projecting my love of her on to Feathertail. Rereading these books I saw how bland she actually is. I would’ve loved to see more time devoted to her so her death means more. Honestly if she had any POV chapters in Moonrise that would be absolutely fantastic!
AAA!! These ideas were a really good way to make tNP more dynamic. One of the most frustrating things about the series is that the journeying cats don't ever truly become friends. Shifting the PoVs would do wonders, if for nothing else to make the Brambleclaw-centric books more enjoyable. I really, really enjoy your idea of having Mothwing's PoV - it's so good. I wanted Hawkfrost's villainy to have more far-reaching consequences than it did, and seeing Mothwing (and RiverClan) dealing with her manipulative brother would make Leafpool learning of his actions have a bit more punch.
Another cool plot point with Tawnypelt could be seeing how she feels about her half siblings in RiverClan, and her internal struggles with where she truly belongs. ThunderClan, or ShadowClan? Also, we could see HER point of view when she saw Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost training in the Dark Forest with Tigerstar.
I agree with you on the switching up of PoV. The only reason why people really love ThunderClan, is because the main Clan written about is ThunderClan. We don’t need the super editions to get the other Clans, we need ARCS and BOOKS about the other Clans. I expected The New Prophecy to be about one of the other Clans, but no. By the end of The Darkest Hour, I was getting really bored of ThunderClan. I wanted to know about the other Clans and how they function during the seasons, and what they do when the monsters start destroying the forest. It gets really boring hearing about the same Clan forever and ever.
I think the different clan points of view would have been fantastic. For the first arc, it was fine, because it was ONE cat's story, but this arc is a story about ALL of the clans, getting some perspective from them would have been refreshing.
Wow! This would change how we see all of the characters so much, but not change the story line so much! I think if the Erin's did this instead, we all would of been more pleased with this arc. I can say that this arc as my least favorite, it was really boring with mainly Brambleclaw's P.O.V! I've always wanted to see more RiverClan P.O.V, I feel like it needs more involvement in this arc and POW. Maybe it's just me? I don't like to count Leafpool's countless thoughts and trips there, because they were always for Mothwing. But anyways, I think this arc would be way more interesting if it was like this! Great job!
I liked the idea of switching perspectives, but at one point I had taken a break and read the chapter where Stormfur starts talking about his subtle crush on Squirrelpaw, I thought I was still in Brambleclaw's perspective for a while until he saw them together talking and I realised, becoming super sad.They were a cute ship for a while and I actually prefered them to Ash x Squirrel, even if they weren't developed.
It’s hard to believe it took until Vision of Shadows for a POV in another clan to be a thing. Unfortunately that’s probably the best part of the new arc.
Brambleclaw being left for the last POV is just SUCH a good idea? Really builds up the suspense much better. Also agreed that their friendships should have been stronger and stayed solid longer!

I would totally do it! Mainly because Crowpaw/feather is my absolute favorite character. I also really like Tawnypelt, and would love to play around with her perspective. Honestly, the only character out of the six that never really intrigue me was Stormfur, so it would be fun to try to view things from his perspective as well. I know this is not a popular belief, but this arc has actually been my favorite so far. I think the reason why is because we at least get to hear more about the other clans. My least favorite is the first actually, because it’s so Thunderclan-centric. I absolutely love writing, especially fanfiction, so if I could get permission to do this, I would absolutely love it. 😊
If I was given the chance to change the New Prophecy, I probably would have changed the PoV per book while making some romances (i.e. CrowLeaf and LeafMoth and possibly even BrambleSquirrel) more realistic, like maybe when Crowfeather proposes to run away, Leafpool is caught in a loop, thinking about how Mothwing would react to Leafpool leaving with Crowfeather, and maybe Crowfeather wants to get away because he knows that Nightcloud likes him and is trying to become mates with him, because we all know that their relationship is already falling apart by the second book of PoT. Maybe Breezepelt could even have a PoV book in Omen of the Stars, a book just to himself and, even though he is a major character in that arc already, maybe his book could be about his parents constantly fighting or lashing out at eachother and how Breezepelt was introduced to the Dark Forest. Anyways, I kinda got side tracked but yea. :Y
I know it's a fantasy book with cats that have a religion however I found it bizarre that a mountain lion appears despite the series being set in England did it escape a zoo or something?
Beavers are actually was native to England however they was hunted to extinction since then people have started reintroduce them into the wild especially in Scotland it makes more sense.

Well,Graystripe x Silverstream and Leafpool x Crowfeather were pretty good,but lionpaw xheatherpaw was when it got boring,but at least had juice because of their break-up and,eventually,hate for each other.However, Dovepaw and tigerpaw was HORRIBLE.
Being someone who read The New Prophecy (accidentally, of course) before any other series, I know that this would have been a far less confusing series to stumble into randomly in that bookstore.
Let’s rewrite the part where Brambleclaw is terrible to Squirrelflight then just treats her better in the next book because the writers wanted Ashfur to look bad :)

What a treat this was to wake up to this morning! I was enjoying this nice meaty review with my coffee as I got some work done. I love your take at the end too! Thanks for that bonus round! I realized after listening to this that what Starclan asked these cats to do involved a pretty big sacrifice. They saved their clans but at the price of their own personal heartbreak and emotional struggles. They know the sweet taste of inter-clan friendship but ultimately have to give it up again. The ultimate goal was to save everyone but in the process they had to lose a little piece of themselves. That would be a fun theme to explore in the series too I imagine. A bit like Frodo having to lose the Shire to save it.
I believe each book could be in the perspective of one of the traveling cats. It would be interesting to see a perspective out side of Thunderclan. If Midnight had been through Crowpaw’s point of view we would see his thoughts and understand him more and not just see him as an annoying apprentice, like you said. When Feathertail dies Brambleclaw barely reacts, and when he does it’s only with the ‘oh, one of Starclan’s chosen is dead, what will we do now?’ or the ‘ I’m so sorry for the loss of your sister/ love interest’. It would have been much more interesting if we saw this through Stormfur’s, Crowpaw’s, or even Feathertail’s point of view. If Crowpaw had narrated this book we would see just how much he and Feathertail had bonded and what impact her death had on him, maybe it would have made him want to open up to the others more and if he is just still too stubborn to do so, we will never know. If the book were to be seen through Feathertail’s eyes maybe we could see her thoughts on the Tribe and how she knew she was the one to kill Sharptooth. Brambleclaw’s point of view should be when the clans make the Great Journey. I believe the book could have shown him taking in the role of a leader even more and relating this experience with leading Starclan’s chosen through the mountains for the first time, showing him to be an even worthier candidate for the position of clan deputy.
Going back through the New Prophecy arc years after I first read it, I realized that I completely forgot Tawnypelt was even there for the journey. Everyone else gets something, Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw are the leads and start their relationship with each other, Feathertail and Crowpaw have their doomed romance, Stormfur falls for the Tribe girl and gets to be lead for parts of Moonrise. All Tawnypelt does is get bitten by a rat, which causes her to be a literal burden for the other characters for the latter half of the journey. I'm half convinced the Erins only had her get bit so they'd have a reason to remind you that, "Yep, Tawnypelt is also here." Like, she doesn't even get to show off much of a personality outside of being kind of a hardass. She doesn't go through any character development. She doesn't have a side plot or do anything of real note, The only reason she's there is because we need a Shadowclan member. Which is kinda weird since she's Brambleclaw's sister, and they barely interact at all. It just makes me confused as to why they even bothered bringing her along if they weren't gonna do anything with her. You could've replaced her with some no-name Shadowclan stooge, and it would have the same effect.
The New Prophecy executes a lot of themes, one large one being unity. But, a lot of these themes aren’t executed well. But I still like the second series. It’s just...... okay. ^^
I'm not a big fan of Crowfeather as he is in these books, but I think something like this might actually make me not dislike him. He really got the short end of the stick when it came to how he was portrayed from the different characters perspectives imo, if he had space of his own I bet I would actually enjoy him. When I read TNP I didn't really care of Feathertail, she was just some nice she-cat, but when I read A Shadow in Riverclan she became one of my fav from the bunch, giving these characters times in the spotlight really would change how this story felt so much, I wish they had done it. It's such a good idea to do povs of each of the different cats, also having Brambleclaw as more mysterious is genius.
This video made me realize I completely forgot about Windclan’s civil war during The New Prophecy. It also made me realize how forgettable this arc past the road trip section was.

The New Prophecy was my first ever book and honestly I agree with how Crowpaw should have been the main character. I got some spoilers when I actually read the Prophesies Begin because of what I read from Bramblecalws POV and I thought the protagonists change every book like in Wings of Fire. I was so disappointed when Crowpaw wasn't the main character for Dawn
I appreciate that other people have wanted to rewrite this too. I rewrote the ending after I finished the series, because as the books were coming out, I was so excited for how I thought it was gonna end! But, as you said, it just didn't live up to it's potential to set up a strong (also, /interesting/) world for the next few series...so I ended it myself. I like a lot of your changes and the idea of changing more than just the ending!
Always found the dislike against the 2nd arc odd as it was one of my favourites. The destruction of the forest and change of the Clan dynamics was, in my opinion some of the most tense and darkest moments in the series. Then I remembered that Books 4-6 exist. God damn did the main cats (Squirrel/Bramble/Leaf/Hawk/Crow) become annoying, borderline flanderised versions of their original selves.
I want this version of the books to be real. That's all I want now. To forget all that ever happened in those original books, and read this new version.
Mitzi Hope she does. While it’s my favorite of the arcs, I do think the big “Ashfur betrayal” could have been way better established. Plus, as shocking as the whole “Hollyleaf was the murderer” twist was, it has very little setup. Honestly, that’s really it for me. I’d probably have a done a similar “each book from a certain character’s POV” thing, because it also would have allowed for characters like Lionblaze to not come off for most people as the “boring” one of the Three.
When I first read The New Prophecy, I read the first two books, and was genuinely confused when Feathertail died. I assumed, since there were six books and six cats, that they'd each get their own book. I wish that the first book would have gone to Feathertail and shown her struggles being in Riverclan, until they got the prophecy and she felt like she genuinely had a purpose. Then I think that Crowfeather should have had a book, it would let the readers see how he processed Feathertail's death. I think from there, him and Stormfur should have made a bond, and that would carry onto Stormfur having a book. Then Squirrelflight, because Stormfur had liked her, and then Brambleclaw, because Squirrelflight liked Brambleclaw, and then Tawnypelt, because of Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt's sibling dynamic. I really like the way you chose to re-write this though! And I agree with giving Crowfeather more then one book too.
I am now sincerely tempted to write full novel length fanfiction with your changes (Read: improvements). I'm especially intrigued by Crowpaw/feather's POV. In Midnight especially, it was frustrating, because it seemed like he was just annoying, since Brambleclaw just straight up wasn't perceptive enough to get what was going on with Crowpaw.

Because he's often feared for being Tigerstar's son, him looking up to the leader of his Clan and the chosen one makes sense. If he's more like Firestar, maybe the others will like him.
And when he becomes leader, Firestar has set ridiculously high standards that he now feels like he must follow. I feel like this is a nice conflict that adds depth to him.

Eh, I think Power of Three should stay the same for the most part. That series is more of a gigantic character piece over an actual large expansive story. I would say maybe give more hints to the whole Ashfur betrayal and Hollyleaf turning out to be the murderer twist a little better, but for the most part, I wouldn’t change a lot. Omen of the Stars I would do a little more of Tennele’s ideas because holy cow, I love a lot of them, and most of it wouldn’t require too much reworking. Just, well, a more cohesive story and theme. That’s at least my take on it. I’m also the guy who’s sort of fine with the books in their current state, but if I could, that’s probably what I would do.

Honestly The New Prophecy is by amongst the most forgettable arcs in the Warriors series, but honestly if it were to be written this way... It might have surpassed The Prophecy Begins in terms of quality and establishment of the characters and the overall environment of the clans.
Honestly I wish the Erins had switched the point of views in these books so badly, and that they would've done it in the arcs past TNP, if the writing did allow it after this established the other clans a bit. Part of why I liked many of the Super Editions (ESPECIALLY Crookedstar's Promise and Tallstar's Revenge) was that it gave insight into the other clans, how they lived their lives as well as these characters that we came to know from an outsider's perspective.

In general, these changes make a lot of sense to me! It feels like the story could benefit a lot from these, although I have one question... how would the relationship between Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost be established? If neither of them have a book before Sunset, how will Brambleclaw's choice to kill his brother impact the reader? Even if there'd be scenes that show them as good friends from other characters' perspective I don't think that would still be enough.
(Although this is a thing that the actual books could have put more emphasis on as well...)
I think the development of their relationship could be handled well in one book, at least get it to the point where it has a similar emotional impact as the actual books, if not even stronger, bc the main focus of the book would be about their relationship.
Oh, alright! If you'd be going about it that way would that mean you'd have to change the prologue of Hawkfrost and Tigerstar discussing the Brambleclaw problem or would the reader already know that Hawkfrost is bad by now from Moonrise and/or Starlight?

I loved your take on Sunset ! The idea of Brambleclaw being all mysterious for the arc and leaving the audience wondering if he’s ~evil~ or not, then opening the book to find out he’s been training in the dark forest is just. So good.
Im so happy you mention Dawn, It was my favorite out of the new prophecy, and seeing it from shadowclans perspective would be so interesting as the two legs have a direct destruction relating to their camp.
the rewrites would also make crowfeather almost killing himself have a stronger impact on the reader.
Tawnypelt could even witness Shrewpaw getting hit by the car while chasing the pheasant, this could lead to a shadowclan cat catching the pheasant and the moral delema of what would be normal border skirmish material (Clan A chasing prey into Clan B) have more weight to it, as it signifies the end of the mundane day to day life.
Also any reasons to show more of blackstar is a plus in my books.
I am a fan of moral ambiguity and your proposed rewrite has so many opportunities for it.

This sounds fantastic, Tenelle! I really like the idea of reading POVs from all four clans to really emphasize the theme of unity. It wouldn't make sense to tell most of the story of Thunderclan (although, in my heart, they're still my favorite, lol.) I never considered Crowfeather playing a larger part in this story, but laid out like that, I think I would have liked that better too. And I know you didn't want to make too many major changes here, but honestly, I'm always up for hearing other people's idea for RADICAL plot rewrites and head canons. :D Plus that end scene made me unexpectedly emotional. Great job on the script! I'm excited to see more!

I wish it had POVs from each clan. It didn’t make sense to me when it had Brambleclaw’s and Squirrelflight’s POV and then one book about Stormfur and a chapter of Feathertail.
Also I’m on The Fourth Apprentice and there hasn’t been any POV from another clan other than ThunderClan inside their camp which I find disappointing.

I completely agree with all of your points! The changes are so minor when it comes to the plot, but you explained how a simple shift in perspective could have brought so much more to this series so thoroughly and so well. Making Crowpaw the first book's POV was unexpected, but it makes so much sense, and I agree with you about how billing this book as the first in a new set means that it should be able to better stand alone from the first arc. I think I would have been able to accept the second half of this arc WAY better if it had been written this way.

Really the only big thing that happens with Tawnypelt is the rat bite, I personally wish that Crowpaw and Tawnypelt were the big characters so that we could get to know them both better, because we only know Tawnypelt as the sister of Brambleclaw, and the daughter of Tigerstar and Goldenflower who went to Shadowclan as an apprentice, and then Crowpaw is just plain a new character,Thunderclan has gotten plenty of books so it would be nice to have some cats from other clans as the main characters, I agree with everything you say and I totally agree with the Mothwing and Leafpool part!

I agree with you - personally, I wished that the New Prophecy was predominantly Tawnypelt's story (and now I've been swayed to also have wished it closely following Crowpaw/feather, too.) It would have been nice to flesh out her decisions from the previous series, maybe if she regretted leaving her mother and brother, but also what her relationship with her father was like, since that never really seems to come up.

I always loved Feathertail in these books when I was younger, probably because Silverstream was one of my favorite characters and I was projecting my love of her on to Feathertail. Rereading these books I saw how bland she actually is. I would’ve loved to see more time devoted to her so her death means more.

AAA!! These ideas were a really good way to make tNP more dynamic. One of the most frustrating things about the series is that the journeying cats don't ever truly become friends. Shifting the PoVs would do wonders, if for nothing else to make the Brambleclaw-centric books more enjoyable. I really, really enjoy your idea of having Mothwing's PoV - it's so good. I wanted Hawkfrost's villainy to have more far-reaching consequences than it did, and seeing Mothwing (and RiverClan) dealing with her manipulative brother would make Leafpool learning of his actions have a bit more punch.

Heck, maybe even develop her relationship with Mothwing, which in the books is practicaly non-existent.

I agree with you on the switching up of PoV. The only reason why people really love ThunderClan, is because the main Clan written about is ThunderClan. We don’t need the super editions to get the other Clans, we need ARCS and BOOKS about the other Clans. I expected The New Prophecy to be about one of the other Clans, but no. By the end of The Darkest Hour, I was getting really bored of ThunderClan. I wanted to know about the other Clans and how they function during the seasons, and what they do when the monsters start destroying the forest. It gets really boring hearing about the same Clan forever and ever.

I think the different clan points of view would have been fantastic. For the first arc, it was fine, because it was ONE cat's story, but this arc is a story about ALL of the clans, getting some perspective from them would have been refreshing.
Wow! This would change how we see all of the characters so much, but not change the story line so much! I think if the Erin's did this instead, we all would of been more pleased with this arc. I can say that this arc as my least favorite, it was really boring with mainly Brambleclaw's P.O.V! I've always wanted to see more RiverClan P.O.V, I feel like it needs more involvement in this arc and POW. Maybe it's just me? I don't like to count Leafpool's countless thoughts and trips there, because they were always for Mothwing. But anyways, I think this arc would be way more interesting if it was like this! Great job!
I liked the idea of switching perspectives, but at one point I had taken a break and read the chapter where Stormfur starts talking about his subtle crush on Squirrelpaw, I thought I was still in Brambleclaw's perspective for a while until he saw them together talking and I realised, becoming super sad.They were a cute ship for a while and I actually prefered them to Ash x Squirrel, even if they weren't developed.

I would totally do it! Mainly because Crowpaw/feather is my absolute favorite character. I also really like Tawnypelt, and would love to play around with her perspective. Honestly, the only character out of the six that never really intrigue me was Stormfur, so it would be fun to try to view things from his perspective as well. I know this is not a popular belief, but this arc has actually been my favorite so far. I think the reason why is because we at least get to hear more about the other clans. My least favorite is the first actually, because it’s so Thunderclan-centric. I absolutely love writing, especially fanfiction, so if I could get permission to do this, I would absolutely love it. 😊
If I was given the chance to change the New Prophecy, I probably would have changed the PoV per book while making some romances (i.e. CrowLeaf and LeafMoth and possibly even BrambleSquirrel) more realistic, like maybe when Crowfeather proposes to run away, Leafpool is caught in a loop, thinking about how Mothwing would react to Leafpool leaving with Crowfeather, and maybe Crowfeather wants to get away because he knows that Nightcloud likes him and is trying to become mates with him, because we all know that their relationship is already falling apart by the second book of PoT. Maybe Breezepelt could even have a PoV book in Omen of the Stars, a book just to himself and, even though he is a major character in that arc already, maybe his book could be about his parents constantly fighting or lashing out at eachother and how Breezepelt was introduced to the Dark Forest. Anyways, I kinda got side tracked but yea. :Y

I realized after listening to this that what Starclan asked these cats to do involved a pretty big sacrifice. They saved their clans but at the price of their own personal heartbreak and emotional struggles. They know the sweet taste of inter-clan friendship but ultimately have to give it up again. The ultimate goal was to save everyone but in the process they had to lose a little piece of themselves. That would be a fun theme to explore in the series too I imagine.
A bit like Frodo having to lose the Shire to save it.

I believe each book could be in the perspective of one of the traveling cats. It would be interesting to see a perspective out side of Thunderclan. If Midnight had been through Crowpaw’s point of view we would see his thoughts and understand him more and not just see him as an annoying apprentice, like you said. When Feathertail dies Brambleclaw barely reacts, and when he does it’s only with the ‘oh, one of Starclan’s chosen is dead, what will we do now?’ or the ‘ I’m so sorry for the loss of your sister/ love interest’. It would have been much more interesting if we saw this through Stormfur’s, Crowpaw’s, or even Feathertail’s point of view. If Crowpaw had narrated this book we would see just how much he and Feathertail had bonded and what impact her death had on him, maybe it would have made him want to open up to the others more and if he is just still too stubborn to do so, we will never know. If the book were to be seen through Feathertail’s eyes maybe we could see her thoughts on the Tribe and how she knew she was the one to kill Sharptooth. Brambleclaw’s point of view should be when the clans make the Great Journey. I believe the book could have shown him taking in the role of a leader even more and relating this experience with leading Starclan’s chosen through the mountains for the first time, showing him to be an even worthier candidate for the position of clan deputy.

Going back through the New Prophecy arc years after I first read it, I realized that I completely forgot Tawnypelt was even there for the journey.
Everyone else gets something, Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw are the leads and start their relationship with each other, Feathertail and Crowpaw have their doomed romance, Stormfur falls for the Tribe girl and gets to be lead for parts of Moonrise.
All Tawnypelt does is get bitten by a rat, which causes her to be a literal burden for the other characters for the latter half of the journey. I'm half convinced the Erins only had her get bit so they'd have a reason to remind you that, "Yep, Tawnypelt is also here."
Like, she doesn't even get to show off much of a personality outside of being kind of a hardass.
She doesn't go through any character development. She doesn't have a side plot or do anything of real note, The only reason she's there is because we need a Shadowclan member. Which is kinda weird since she's Brambleclaw's sister, and they barely interact at all.
It just makes me confused as to why they even bothered bringing her along if they weren't gonna do anything with her. You could've replaced her with some no-name Shadowclan stooge, and it would have the same effect.
The New Prophecy executes a lot of themes, one large one being unity. But, a lot of these themes aren’t executed well.
But I still like the second series. It’s just...... okay. ^^
I'm not a big fan of Crowfeather as he is in these books, but I think something like this might actually make me not dislike him. He really got the short end of the stick when it came to how he was portrayed from the different characters perspectives imo, if he had space of his own I bet I would actually enjoy him. When I read TNP I didn't really care of Feathertail, she was just some nice she-cat, but when I read A Shadow in Riverclan she became one of my fav from the bunch, giving these characters times in the spotlight really would change how this story felt so much, I wish they had done it. It's such a good idea to do povs of each of the different cats, also having Brambleclaw as more mysterious is genius.

The New Prophecy was my first ever book and honestly I agree with how Crowpaw should have been the main character. I got some spoilers when I actually read the Prophesies Begin because of what I read from Bramblecalws POV and I thought the protagonists change every book like in Wings of Fire. I was so disappointed when Crowpaw wasn't the main character for Dawn
I appreciate that other people have wanted to rewrite this too. I rewrote the ending after I finished the series, because as the books were coming out, I was so excited for how I thought it was gonna end! But, as you said, it just didn't live up to it's potential to set up a strong (also, /interesting/) world for the next few series...so I ended it myself. I like a lot of your changes and the idea of changing more than just the ending!

Always found the dislike against the 2nd arc odd as it was one of my favourites. The destruction of the forest and change of the Clan dynamics was, in my opinion some of the most tense and darkest moments in the series.
Then I remembered that Books 4-6 exist. God damn did the main cats (Squirrel/Bramble/Leaf/Hawk/Crow) become annoying, borderline flanderised versions of their original selves.
I want this version of the books to be real. That's all I want now. To forget all that ever happened in those original books, and read this new version.

Mitzi Hope she does. While it’s my favorite of the arcs, I do think the big “Ashfur betrayal” could have been way better established. Plus, as shocking as the whole “Hollyleaf was the murderer” twist was, it has very little setup. Honestly, that’s really it for me. I’d probably have a done a similar “each book from a certain character’s POV” thing, because it also would have allowed for characters like Lionblaze to not come off for most people as the “boring” one of the Three.
It happened
When I first read The New Prophecy, I read the first two books, and was genuinely confused when Feathertail died. I assumed, since there were six books and six cats, that they'd each get their own book. I wish that the first book would have gone to Feathertail and shown her struggles being in Riverclan, until they got the prophecy and she felt like she genuinely had a purpose. Then I think that Crowfeather should have had a book, it would let the readers see how he processed Feathertail's death. I think from there, him and Stormfur should have made a bond, and that would carry onto Stormfur having a book. Then Squirrelflight, because Stormfur had liked her, and then Brambleclaw, because Squirrelflight liked Brambleclaw, and then Tawnypelt, because of Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt's sibling dynamic. I really like the way you chose to re-write this though! And I agree with giving Crowfeather more then one book too.
Imma tell my kids this was The New Prophecy
I am now sincerely tempted to write full novel length fanfiction with your changes (Read: improvements). I'm especially intrigued by Crowpaw/feather's POV. In Midnight especially, it was frustrating, because it seemed like he was just annoying, since Brambleclaw just straight up wasn't perceptive enough to get what was going on with Crowpaw.
