Im just searching for this kind of detailed video, finally i watched yours and it's so helpful for begginers. As u said in the beginning of the video, i literally scare to try oil paints but after watching this I'm gonna try oil paints. Yaay 😊!
Thank you .. I was thinking of buying turpemtine even if i a already have linseed i thought theres a big difference. you saved me from wasting my money since im on a budget ❤❤❤❤❤
It’s linseed oil, not turpentine. We must worry if our paintings going to be kept in museums for years. Not to worry if you are just practising for learning art.
👍 odourless cleaner? Apart from Gamsol etc foreign expensive stuff. Desi alternative, please. Presently, I just use Johnson baby Oil, after cleaning with cloth first, to wet clean my brushes. It works somewhat. But use it sparingly at end of painting session. No smell. Turpentine causes me severe headache. I use 236 ml tubs of Golden paints in acrylics, W & N artist Oil paint 200ml tubes. Original Liquin 1000ml bottle, 200nl Liquin Impasto, W & N Retouch Varnish 400 ml spray, and later final varnish of W & N etc. So, do use expensive foreign stuff. But I want to avoid expensive brush cleaner. Any desi odourless cleaner?
@@artbypragz thankyou. I will try it, though I do not like contacting creativehands, since they do not respond politely to customers who order less than Rs.10,000 art stuff each time.
@@anonymousfellowindian I agree with you. But you can purchase this at any art store, it should not cost you more than 300 INR. I’ve heard from my students that it’s decent for 300 INR. However I use turpentine with windows wide open. So the smell is not concentrated.
A question if you don't mind me asking is I took linseed oil and turpentine just few days back because I have this oil painting competition and oil painting is very scary for me and event through bunch of tutorials where most of the I concluded turpentine is mostly used to clean the brushes and palette from the colours while inside oil is used as a water to make the oil paints more editable during the colouring process and after watching your video I got confused realising that event open time can be used to not just watch the brushes but also to use it as we use water for water coloring did I got that right?
@@artbypragz oh thanks .. so we can use turpentine for washing brushes n pallete n for coloring. Sweet. I suppose i should still with oil then as well right for coloring
Hiiii,. Can you please make a video on Medium W, which can be used with traditional oil paints to become water mixable.. or if there is any other way out. Please..

You could try Brustro's odorless solvent.
