I don't think it's just about bullying. Here is my opinion : It's a song about the kind of person who wants to be sympathized with.(It's a girl in this song.) The lyric [いじめないで] can be translated as [Don't bully me], and it can also be [Don't be so mean to me] or [Don't do such things to me]. I'm going to give my two cent opinion on what I think this song is about: To be perfectly honest, I don't think it's bullying. It's more of a mentality of it, like, I feel that it's more of self-pity. Like, yes, that girl is definitely being bullied but at the same time, I feel like she is letting it go on purpose. She likes/enjoy/at the very least know how to use it against others. That's why it sang "It can't be helped" and "That's what makes her adorably pitiful." Like, she know it's a sad thing, she know it's something that can't be helped so she turned it onto others, she isn't letting other people take this(sadness) away from her. She wants to spread negativity upon others. Passing people. Not specifically becoming a bully herself but more of by making herself the victim, those who seems bad is never herself, she is enjoying the role of being a 'victim'. I might interpret this the wrong way, but this song to me seems like about a person (in case, this girl) who can’t help but carry a mental disorder (or a terminating disease) that prevents her from living a normal life from others, and therefore “carries” this burden where ever she goes (hence the backpack). As the song progresses into 2:06 (“it’s sprouting”) means that the disease that she carries manifests into something worse, as if she could be slowly dying, “as if she can vanish at any moment”. There is another thing I learned about Japanese culture, (if this person I am talking about is in school, or that young) flowers on desks is a sign that a student has died. (I’m not sure if it’s true, but it is something to consider). This could explain the lyrics of this song talking about “blooming flowers” or a “bouquet of flowers” I suppose if I can take a step further, I believe that the visuals (of blacked out people) can represent the girl dealing with the circumstances of her “dying at any moment” as the disease continues to spread. I’m not sure if it’s helps anyone, but this is just my opinion, let me know what you think!

I have probably (checks browser history) , VERY probably listened to thing song over 59 times by now. I love Hana's voice, I love how Kikuo puts thought into the lyrics, I love how things like musettes and music boxes are mixed, pianos and all other instruments fight about who gives the listener the most emotional impact. And the animation is really pretty and smooth. And I absolutely love the support of the community, please keep supporting, trying to create things for yourself, not-bullying, enjoying and be so open minded! I found there to be a lot of kind and creative people around, that is really great! Overall, I hope Kikuo continues enjoying to make whatever he creates, and to improve more and more, may the like-button be smashed by us!

Alright, I know she is actually weak, but I feel like the concept of a girl who brings misfortune to herself, fakes being weak, and pretends to be lonely, but she's actually capable of standing up for herself- It's just that she gets the disgusting and strange feeling of satisfaction to be looked down upon is kinda cool for me idk

I might interpret this the wrong way, but this song to me seems like about a person (in case, this girl) who can’t help but carry a mental disorder (or a terminating disease) that prevents her from living a normal life from others, and therefore “carries” this burden where ever she goes (hence the backpack). As the song progresses into 2:06 (“it’s sprouting”) means that the disease that she carries manifests into something worse, as if she could be slowly dying, “as if she can vanish at any moment”.
There is another thing I learned about Japanese culture, (if this person I am talking about is in school, or that young) flowers on desks is a sign that a student has died. (I’m not sure if it’s true, but it is something to consider).
This could explain the lyrics of this song talking about “blooming flowers” or a “bouquet of flowers”
I suppose if I can take a step further, I believe that the visuals (of blacked out people) can represent the girl dealing with the circumstances of her “dying at any moment” as the disease continues to spread.
I’m not sure if it’s helps anyone, but this is just my opinion, let me know what you think!

I have probably (checks browser history) , VERY probably listened to thing song over 59 times by now. I love Hana's voice, I love how Kikuo puts thought into the lyrics, I love how things like musettes and music boxes are mixed, pianos and all other instruments fight about who gives the listener the most emotional impact. And the animation is really pretty and smooth. And I absolutely love the support of the community, please keep supporting, trying to create things for yourself, not-bullying, enjoying and be so open minded! I found there to be a lot of kind and creative people around, that is really great! Overall, I hope Kikuo continues enjoying to make whatever he creates, and to improve more and more, may the like-button be smashed by us!

I think the girl walking kept getting bullied by others, she was an outlier. The scribbled people are the people who harmed her in her past, and them dying is the girl basically getting her revenge. That's what the misfortune seller thing is all about.
