State troopers and game wardens are two seperate departments and authorities. Troopers can’t request to see permits etc. they have no authority for fish and game.
@fishforfoodnotsport Incorrect. This is dependent on the state and authority of their jurisdiction. Several states have game wardens who are also a form of state police. As for Oregon, “Oregon's game wardens are members of the Fish and Wildlife Division of the Oregon State Police.” You are looking at a game warden with state police identification which is accurate / correct. State troopers can request to see your licenses and has authority to enforce all laws / regulations dependent to their jurisdiction, there’s no underlying reason they can’t. Please do more research before typing up random shit.
@@Anonymous-it4ie no they don’t. Same as a regular law enforcement officer can’t enforce federal law. Only a federal agent can. What you’re talking about is a game warden who can facilitate regular law enforcement too which is different than what I’m talking about.

I heard you say that the fish had eggs in it would it look to me that that fish was dead in the water too bad you didn't release it for other anglers to go out there in the next 10 years and catch its offspring that's too bad
That wasn't nice to say I'm a full-blooded Democrat and I think all these people coming into our country is good for our country and Americans are bums what do you think of that
fishing licenses fund the stocking and betterment of USAs waterways. all the money from licenses go directly to fisheries, if we didnt have a system like that in place taxes in general would have to raise or the quality of our water ways would drastically diminish. as an avid fisherman im glad we have licenses, a few bucks for great fishing all around my state is better than free fishing in a bunch of barren, trashy lakes. in my experience people most opposed to fishing licenses tend to be types that take way more fish then they need, leave trash, and just in general are not mindful of keeping our lakes and rivers clean and filled with life.
@zebu2294 in your expirance people who..... you'd be 100 million % wrong. I fish 2 or 3 times a week. I keep zero. I don't even know many people that even keep any. The people that do the studies are the people that sell the licenses. The fish contain such high lvs of mecury there be dead people everywhere if they eating the amount of fish you talking about
@@justinkrebs3438 im not saying there are not exceptions, i was not accusing you of doing those things but the vast majority of the time it is the case. who usually leaves trash? people without fishing licenses. i dont know where you live but in iowa you can eat quite a bit of fish and be healthy. many people will freeze fish also. i dont know what you are talking about with the studies but it is an objective fact that fish stocking and habitat projects are funded through fishing licenses and the taxes placed on fishing equipment. like i said if they didnt have fishing licenses our taxes would be higher or the fishing would terrible. as an angler you should recognize that $20 a year is nothing when the trade off is clean water ways with healthy fish populations. as a younger fellow i want to have actual fishable bodies of water when i am old and im well aware of how impossible that would be if we didnt have fishing licenses and regulations. even within the confines of regulations a body of water can get demolished by over fishing and a lack of care.
@zebu2294 42.00 in Pennsylvania in my state the commission stocks more non native species then native. Not as many people are keeping and eating the fish. So adding fish every year from a stone farm pond that won't survive are only feeding the machine. If my liscense money went towards cleaning efforts hands down I'd not say a word. But the people who take to much fish or hog up the bank with trash they are the kind who don't even buy a fishing liscense. And I disagree about taxes being higher anytime you bring any goverment agency in makes the problem worse. They add a game species in to please liscense buyers not to conserve and protect the environment
@@justinkrebs3438 im sorry you worded the latter half of your statement a little oddly i dont quite understand what you are trying to say. in my state we have trout stocked quite often, they do die come summer time but regardless it is still a fun and different fishing opportunity. your fishing license purchase goes to stocking and the betterment of habitat, it funds large lake reconstruction projects and the removal of invasive species. technically musky, bass and walleye are "invasive" in many of the waterways they are placed in but they are fun to catch regardless and when implemented properly can make for a more dynamic body of water. people that don't buy fishing licenses are typically people that are against fishing licenses, that is why they don't buy them. if we didnt have fishing licenses taxes would have to be higher to maintain our fisheries, i would rather they not get raised as i feel that also creates more opportunities for corruption, i agree with you there. your fishing license purchase also funds electrofishing, seining, and gill net surveys, these surveys allow fisheries to have a better understanding as to what fish populations and age groups are doing to better manage a body of water.
I wouldn't bother fishing ... not if it included the fish-cops showing up to police you. Talk about how to spoil a day out in nature. You know, people don't fish for food. They're not out there because they're starving. They're out there to try to get back in touch with what once was "the real world." At the rate we're going, the day will come when you'll have to get a license to have a gathering of friends over for a barbeque. That's right. A cop will have the right to stop by, check that you have a permit, and that it is posted at the proper elevation and location; to make sure the number of people present does not exceed what the permit allows; his decibel meter will check out sound levels to be sure the combined volume of music and laughter does not exceed its allowed limit; fire extinguishing equipment will need to be of the right kind and proximity to the barbeque device, and the device itself will have to meet state standards regarding emissions and global warming. We're just getting started folks. Just today I learned that all liquified egg products such as Egg Beaters and others, must by Oregon's new state law, be from "cage-free chickens." Soon the state will have a limit on how long a chicken can be used to produce eggs before it is put on pension for the rest of its old age.

Paperwork to catch a fish, and fees. I can actually see fishing license fees for stocked lakes. They are actually putting the fish that you catch into the lake. Not in oceans. It’s just robbery. Our taxes should cover it anyway, that’s what they do in Hawaii

Nervous ? you just casted in an empty hook at the end 😂
Watch again lol I'm pretty sure there was a orange bead on there
I sleep well at night knowing these guys are out harassing folks just out trying to catch a fish. 😂
so the cop is a fisheries officer? huh?
Oregon uses state troopers to enforce fish and wildlife laws
That tyrant is not your friend. He’s looking to charge you with whatever crimes that he can come up with. 🤬
This warden is a good person and has done nothing but good for our community!
He's doing his job. Without his profession, there wouldn't be fish to catch. I thank a game warden for checking my license every time. It's a dangerous job because there's some unsavory characters out there.
@@jimc4839 it’s funny you think they actually care about fish.

I agree! The homeless is getting out of control
The little question games , the game and fish gotta play us 🤦♂️🤣
Hassle the law abiding citizen, leave the tent city alone, how may fish do they poach?
thats the logic here in oregon
The game ward Trooper named David Herman you are lucky to have a GroPro Camera on him if you do not have it on he will find a way to get you a ticket.
Wardens are so cool
What river were you fishing in?
The umpqua river in oregon

I have been checked many times without a camera. These guys are always professional. I have never had a problem you're talking out of your ass.
Jim thinks you know it once a day goes without a Gropro camera with you and you get a ticket then you will flash back someone to remind you shit I am the one talking out of my ass.
@@joey1629
Wow. Speak English much hillbilly?
State troopers and game wardens are two seperate departments and authorities. Troopers can’t request to see permits etc. they have no authority for fish and game.
I think that's different here in oregon
@fishforfoodnotsport
Incorrect.
Wardens are not your friend they are there to write tickets be courteous but don't talk to them .
There there to catch scum bags that think it’s ok to take what they want . That’s there job
That trooper should maybe solve the tent problem!! I shall say no more
yeah, him and him alone. stfu
The Trooper does not have the authority to solve the tent problem. Put the blame where it belongs!

So you don't need bait on the hook?
no we use soft and hard beads, no bait needed, for some reason our fish like pretty colored balls lol
I cant stand these guys pay more money and you can is all i heard. I just cant wrap my mind around this license to kill call me poacher i guess
Too many rules...go fishing
Run in?
Yup
walk in?
So glad I live in Alaska!😳🤣
Warden yeah! Hell just call it’s too remote😂
Poach much?
Don’t need to poach here in Alaska ! You all keep dreaming Alaska, I actually live it daily! Jealous ones!😳🤣🤪
My experience with game warden's, they really just want to make sure everyone is playing by the rules. Nothing more, nothing less.
Unlike other law enforcement officers, who will go out of their way to find something to arrest or ticket you for.
I heard you say that the fish had eggs in it would it look to me that that fish was dead in the water too bad you didn't release it for other anglers to go out there in the next 10 years and catch its offspring that's too bad
That that's a real shame!
A run in? Really? Seriously? That’s not a run in…
What would you call it???? What is your definition of a run in?? Lol 😆
Thanks for the comment BTW
So theres only a certain amount of fish you can catch at that time of year ?
i think it’s a limit overall!
Yes I do believe it's 25 tagged fish for salmon and steelhead combined
Wasn't actually a run in now was it
ya your right i run into a state warden! it was all fake lol
@tightlinesandgoodtimes4739 your definition of a run in is bleak would love to see what you would do if you had an actual run in with someone
that warden was fishing also
a game and a state trooper are not the same thing.
In Oregon they are.
Oregon State Police have a division that are game wardens. Think of them like DPS or HP in other states, as that's Oregon's equivalent.
Can’t access the river cause of the tent bums. We need to let the ODs happen and ban narcan.

Because of the left wing run Government of Oregon. They want the homeless there.
they cant because of the laws that the gov placed
I always wondered an agency that's doesn't own the water or the fish is requiring a Citizen has a liscense is unconstitutional
fishing licenses fund the stocking and betterment of USAs waterways. all the money from licenses go directly to fisheries, if we didnt have a system like that in place taxes in general would have to raise or the quality of our water ways would drastically diminish. as an avid fisherman im glad we have licenses, a few bucks for great fishing all around my state is better than free fishing in a bunch of barren, trashy lakes.
in my experience people most opposed to fishing licenses tend to be types that take way more fish then they need, leave trash, and just in general are not mindful of keeping our lakes and rivers clean and filled with life.
They're out there to try to get back in touch with what once was "the real world."
At the rate we're going, the day will come when you'll have to get a license to have a gathering of friends over for a barbeque.
This is why I don’t fish anymore. Now I hike only and don’t deal with trout troopers.
Quit whining. This was completely professional. Obviously, you are not.

Want to really know what’s turning more and more people off to fishing and hunting? Game wardens. You haven’t done one thing wrong and here they come.
If there weren’t any game wardens then illegal fishing or hunting would be common
Well too bad
So what ....that is their job....god people lighten up
Paperwork to catch a fish, and fees. I can actually see fishing license fees for stocked lakes. They are actually putting the fish that you catch into the lake. Not in oceans. It’s just robbery. Our taxes should cover it anyway, that’s what they do in Hawaii
They're making sure no one is poaching or otherwise keeping/killing fish that aren't allowed to be kept, whether too young, or a protected species. If that's a problem to people, don't fish.
When I was in Florence Oregon back in the mid 80s I was at I don’t know why I wanna see critter like it’s not critter Lake somewhere off Highway 101 past the bridge in Felton but I was fish and this big lake that they have, and I was in an air raft with oars And I was out in the middle of the lake and the game ward from the shore was waving me in and I acted like I couldn’t hear him anyhow really and he says come on in and says no you come on in he did not like that when I told him you come on and you come here I’m not coming therewasting my time fishing even though I did wrong and I had a license the whole day but I wasn’t gonna waste my time rowing and spending 2030 minutes of my time rowing in and then ran back. No hell no I was just waiting for him to swim over there, so I was shitty over here.
Oh, I caught a shit load of salmon up the Saluda river. There was a bunch of creeks going up there, so Soula river. I don’t know how it’s pronounced voice recognition it doesn’t pick it up the hell with it it’s in fountain man I did some great fish out there I was new at it I learned, just too bad season is over for the rest of our lives.
