Please everyone remember that Joe is a human being. These reviews aren't easy to make. He has to get costumes together, has to play the game fully, check for glitches and other issues. He has to try out all the modes and beat the game. He has to edit the video put it together, create a thumbnail, he has to get his friends together and everyone's schedule can be different and also check it for any editing mistakes. The point is these reviews usually take time. Do not rush him and be patient. He always puts effort into these reviews and tries his best. The impatience of some people is ridiculous. They wouldn't be able to handle making that same kind of project in the short time they demand.

I kicked a decade long heroin and crack addiction, been to prison for my longest sentence(and last!) , my sister had a daughter and a son, lost my awesome cranky cat Burroughs, got two new ones THEY had babies, had a rough end to a relationship that broke me right down, struggled with dark depression that made it hard to get out of bed, found the woman who's going to have my babies, definitely the one, ended up living together because of Covid, been to 3 weddings, 5 funerals, someone tried to shoot me,watched my poor nana gradually lose herself to dementia, my baby sister who I remember my mams waters breaking turn 30, my mam get engaged, a close friend die... All with Joe being a part of the stuff I watch to unwind...
From late Ps3/360, the start of the Ps4 generation... The lows of Mindjack or Ride To Hell to the highs of Doom Eternal or Elden Ring...
The evolution of the show, the running gags, the humour and production quality is so damn good. but under it all is a very thorough evaluation of the game and a very honest opinion of it.
When Joe is excited and full of energy you know that feeling you get from a game so you trust his judgement...
Now I'm getting back into gaming it will be a rare thing for me to preorder anything.
I don't mind the wait for the reviews. I like physical copies of games and I don't mind buying them secondhand so waiting for a few reviews is fine for me.
What I love about Joe's reviews is when it's games I wasn't going to buy or might not have been aware of. I get a great insight into the game and it helps me make up my mind...
Where will the next decade take us?! It will be crazy to look back then and celebrate like TWENTY years of AJS!

I actually kinda like the progression system. I hate doing it, but tbh, it makes people use all the guns in the game instead of just finding the most OP weapon and using that only. It's a nice change of pace to go into lobbies and get killed by a dozen different guns.

While it has its faults, the fact it massively increases weapon variety with players makes me love it. I can't hate a system that encourages experimentation out the wazoo.
It kinda reminds me of Mass Effect 3. Pretty good, especially since they do encourage you to use and upgrade different guns down the line.

These reviews are always fun and entertaining because Joe takes his time to put in the work both gaming wise by playing through the whole game and entertainment wise by creating funny skits with high quality editing. I don't mind the wait cuz it's always worth the wait

The skits in general on the angry reviews are extremely funny and very creative. Joe definitely made it to this level for a good reason. Hell, even most of his ads are more creative then majority of youtubes content.

I thought Joe went off to easy on them, especially the multiplayer part, SBMM, the latency and time to kill variation and issues, content drought from release..

@@henrik1743 Still better than what Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite are doing, so even if the issues are minor ones at first, Halo Infinite as a whole is literally being driven into the ground to the point that a lot of the Halo fanbase are jumping ship likely to Battlefield 2042 as at least DICE is TRYING to revive Battlefield 2042 unlike 343 with Halo Infinite.

Another indicator is the fact that Activision has consistently forced them to help with everyone else's games for years (Black ops cold war being the best example because it wasn't even their game at first) and MW2 is no exception. Mf said IW is saving them, sit tf down.

What companies do nowadays is say 'people don't want [franchise]' when people don't like a god-awful game that happens to be in that franchise. They couldn't do that with COD bc it's yearly releases and constantly classic and was making enough money. 2042 flopped, and the franchise could easily recover, but it won't. Because EA doesn't believe a game can be bad. They believe games are games, regardless of quality, and as long as it's a game, people will buy it. So if it flops, it's the game's fundamental premise that people don't like. The details can't possibly matter.
“Just remember, no Russian.” That line from the original MW2 still sends chills down my spine. Even years later I remember how shocked I was playing that.

Skill up is pretty amazing.
The cartel was such a cool addition to the campaign and made the game feel more cinematic and engaging as a result. Sure they were a little over the top, but it was fun as hell just to see them on screen.

Completely agree with everything Joe said in this review. I will say this, i noticed a lot more writing in the campaign. Like when you kill enemies sometimes in stealth, someone comes up and is like oh NO, they killed Mark!
and more with the npcs talking to each other. Its pretty good stuff. Made me laugh multiple times.
I somewhat do as well but after watching every CoD review he made, the things he praised this CoD for doing, are stuff he complained about with other CoD games. Mainly the ones that are not made by Infinity Ward. This is the best CoD in the past 4 years, but it's not an 8 out of 10 game not even close.
Best thing about stealth this time around is that if you get spotted you don't get blasted and killed right away. you just have to fight your way out instead.
The lead writer for MW2019 left before MW2 btw. So that explains why it left out of tone and more action-oriented than it's predecessor.

The ping system was removed from multiplayer right at launch due to a glitch that allowed a player to ping an enemy player and permanently reveal that players location even through death and respawn.
I havnt played this much call of duty since modern warfare 3 for ps3 2011, back then I was 21 single living with my parents now 11 years later married,3 kiddos, bought a house and have a sweet basement mancave, I have massive nostalgia with this game.

Black Ops 2 kinda does that, it had actual choices that *do* in fact change certain aspects about how the story goes, leading to a campaign that is very replayable for me. I want something like that again.

If im bored with 6v6 i switch to 3rd person. If that gets boring i go to the big battle modes. If i dont feel like playing against people i do the missions. I can do BR modes. Hell if i dont feel like any of that i can go play a fun ass campaign. Best CoD in recent years and maybe all time.

Opening skit outlined one of my biggest complaints with an otherwise fun game

Theres a few issues that you mentioned in the video that infinity ward had tweeted out that they were disabling, such as pinging and tuning , but then later re activated , so maybe those are the issues you ran into. Also depending how you deep dove into the settings, there are multiple options for changing controls for picking things up/reloading/opening doors and how to prioritize which comes first, not to mention the FOV settings, auto run settings and screen shake issues you might have, just to help you out a bit
Edit- two months later, tuning has made it more impossible to tell which guns feel good or not and make the game more complicated , surprised you enjoyed this feature.
As someone who mains MP5 in every shooter, I felt that intro hard 😂😂

It's not the best CoD in history but a very solid game compared to recent entries in the series.
Honestly this is the 1st Call of Duty I've legitimately enjoyed playing in years. It definitely has its flaws but it's a pretty solid foundation to build upon while we wait a couple of years for the next one.
If it wasnt for the unjustified anti cheat permanent banning I might buy it.

I actually love the gun progression system. Its nice to have only 20 or so levels to do for each gun and i like that i unlock attachments that work on other guns
The camos you unlock for each gun can also be applied to every other weapon, launcher, and riot shield!
It's pretty rad tbh...I just hope they are working to rid out all the bugs and menu freezing...Starting to get really old.
Hopefully they add more weapons aswell.
Yeah I love getting melted while I run around with a bolt action rifle to unlock a barrel for my assault rifle 👍
Yeah I like it and all but I don't like being forced to use a gun I absolutely despise just so I can unlock a gun I want to use. But then I have to use other guns I don't like just so I can use an attachment I want to use or that makes the bad gun useable
one of the very first things i noticed besides the obvious stuff like the graphics was the sound design and im so glad you pointed it out. I was watching the cutscenes on youtube and they absolutely blew me away. They were literally cinema quality and it immersed me entirely
Remember, in Warzone you won't exactly get to pick your guns, especially in the early game. So the fact that the multiplayer makes you use other guns that you otherwise would never have touched, at least it'll help you somewhat familiarise yourself with it when you some day pick it up in warzone because it's the only weapon in a house or something.

remove SBMM stop releasing games that are broken & maybe innovate a little more. Then it’ll get a 10/10. It’s pretty frustrating cause I have a a lot of fun at times but my playtime is usually lower cause once I get in a few good games the SBMM turns the dial up by 4 notches and most ppl can’t play 100% 100% of the time.

I don't even play FPS but I whole-heartedly support this much effort in new releases.
Am I in crazy town there's only like 9 maps and like 2 or 3 are planning to get removed because the developers literally copy and pasted real locations because they were to lazy to make there own. The game is poorly optimized crashes a the worst UI in any cod ever half the huge range of attachments in gunsmith do the same damn thing. Missing staple cod features like combat record hardcore and league play.

The game is objectively missing multiple features that COD has always had at launch had multiple maps copyright strikes which is a rookie mistake for a multi billion dollar company doing this for 17 years. Also objectively it's poorly optimized and the UI is complete garbage. It just seems weird that he's giving such a high score on a clearly low effort incomplete game.

Idk why but this game is hella fun even with all its issues that Joe doesn’t extend on. (He’s more of a ground war guy so makes sense) The reload stop is super annoying. Spawns can be bullshit at times which isn’t foreign to this game but is still annoying. The attachments sometimes make the gun worse then having none at all which makes no sense. A lot of sweats which is more on the community then the entire game itself so I would recommend mixing up your game modes consistently instead of playing only casual modes cuz people get campy and or toxic af especially TDM. The pacing of matches isn’t consistent even within the matches itself which is a good and at times bad if it’s more campy and Gforce jumpshot/ prone hip fire blaze. The predator missile is garbage. And shotguns need a slight buff. Other guns could be better optimized but the gunplay is def up to par usually and is addicting. You’re gonna have to adapt to the environment in this game which is depending on how players act on certain maps and what mode. I highly recommend a headset when you play. Weird aims sometimes make better hitmarkers I’m guessing depending on the gun and for some reason hip fire is more op then it’s been like I went off with a Desert Eagle easily lol.
Wouldn’t get too excited: spawn rushing, trapping and killing is more prevalent than ever and and will happen 95% of the time, no hardcore mode till maybe the 16th so hit marker galore even point blank to the chest with a shotgun.

I actually purchased this game on Steam last night and installed it overnight while I was asleep. I guess the 1 thing that really frustrated me about the UI (because it really does look like something Netflix or Hulu transplanted into the game) is the fact that I learned where most things important were really fast but they hid the key to Quit to Desktop and didn't tell you what it was anywhere. After about 7 minutes I guessed the Escape key and fortunately I got it right.
I mean esc is pretty standard for PC...
Literally the best campaign I have played in years.

This game does not have Hardcore mode. It has replaced it with Tier 1 which is a renamed ‘realism’ mode from MW2019. Hardcore fans hate realism mode. It felt like Activision is trying to funnel everyone into softcore which sucks.
